Scottish stud James McAvoy gives a brooding, intense look on the August 2008 cover for Details magazine, on newsstands next week. Here are some of the highlights from the Wanted star’s interview:
On wanting to be the next Sexiest Man Alive: “I want to be like Matt Damon and do a hugely successful thinking-man’s action franchise like Bourne.”
On the types of movies he likes to star in: “Hugh Grant is f—ing great and he’s funny. I like romantic comedies. I’ve been in one and I f—ing loved it. I got to show off and I got to be a d—. It’s always fun to play d—. That’s why I loved Last King (of Scotland) —I got to be such a wanker.”
On being cast in Wanted alongside Angelina Jolie: “I think inside all actors, there’s a kid who secretly yearns to jump off buildings and say ‘Yippeekayay, motherf—er!’ I also thought that the fact that they were willing to cast someone like me showed a willingness to step outside the usual action-movie realm.”

I think he ies well photoshopped. Don’t like this look on him at all - too skinny and slicked back hair — i like him the way he usually is. Handsome and cute.
I am a bit surprised that he uses such bad language so much - maybe he is nervous being so heavily in the limelight right now. I have seen him in many interviews and he keeps the language clean - could be what they wanted in this interview. I like him when he is relaxed and funny and he can be very funny. Check out the “unscripted” videos on youtube with Kiera Knightly - she is trying to be so intellectual and serious and he is having none of it —he is just funny.
As Much As I Like James McAvoy. If you notice is that this man doesn’t know how to pose. In most of his pictures there is always one eyebrow that is arched.

His swearing isnt overly bad, he is a Scot after all. :P Its really great to see him doing well in Hollywood, I still remember seeing him for the first time in Shameless and loving him!!

I think there should be no more doubts that he will be the perfect cast for the role of Kurt Cobain. Beside obvious physical resemblences (body postures; soulful blue eyes; delicate lips and chin), they both share a huge charisma (not to mention bitter childhood).
Wouldn’t it be thrilling to see McAvoy portrays the late grunge icon trashing his guitar screaming “I’m a negative creep and I’m stoned”?
James is amazing!!!!!!
