Matthew McConaughey Welcomes Son

Matthew McConaughey’s Brazilian girlfriend, Camila Alves, gave birth to a boy at 6:22pm PT on Monday, July 7.

The first child for McConaughey and Alves was born on Monday evening, the actor’s publicist said. The couple announced the pregnancy in January.

The 38-year-old actor has been dating Alves for two years. Their baby arrived weighing 7lb 4oz, but a name is yet to be confirmed.

“A healthy baby boy was born,” Matthew told OK!. “Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world — Having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure — raising one, together.”

I don’t get that he’s good looking thing. He has a ripped body, but the face very much leaves something to be desired. To each his own. I just hope that the perpetual surfer dude doesn’t name his kid Bud Lyte.

Going to be a great looking kid. Please God, don’t let them give him a weird name. His brother is called Rooster, and named his poor son Miller light. Ther should be a law against people who do this to their children. Parents don’t have to go through the world being called these crazy names: Apple, Miller light, Rocket, Sunday…. it goes on and on and on and on.

Let the maddness stop please….

Hi,

Matt and Camila, after much deliberation have decided to name their son Domenico Matthew (to be called Nico) after Camila’s father and of course, Matt. They wanted to see the baby first before making a final choice but they both thought the baby had Camila’s father’s curly, black hair and sweet temperament.
