On her fans backing her up after the nude photo scandal hit: “My fans were amazing because they have stood by my side. They really are my core group. My family’s always there for me. I just surround myself with good people and try to think of good things.”
On how she felt when the photos first hit the Internet: “I think people thought I took it lighter than I really did. For me, it was really tough because I’m a private person and for something like that at to happen, it’s so mean. It’s just a horrible thing. It sucks. But thankfully it’s over and it’s in the past.”
On who leaked her nude photos: “Stupid people.”

To all the haters on this thread, what makes you think you’re so much better than Vanessa? Who are you to judge her when you don’t know 100% what happened regarding the picture scenario? I’m sure if you look at yourself, you will find that you’re not perfect either. Now, what would you have done if someone you trusted took a private photo that you sent to them in complete trust and put it out on the internet for the world to see? How would that make you feel?
I really admire Vanessa for the way she handled the whole situation. She admitted that it was a picture of her, apologized to fans, and with strength and courage, with a smile on her face ventured forth anyway in pursuit of her dreams. Kudos also to Zac for standing by her side and giving her strength and always having her back (as stated in her CD insert). They’re both amazing!

That one photo and a few risque photos taken at a time when she was young, a moment of hormonal/ emotional madness(self discovery) was meant for only one person and unfortunately was perpetrated by probably persons known to her who for fun or was out to destroy her out of jealousy, did the unthinkable by posting on the internet.
We the fans have stood by her and supported her through this turmoil and with much prayer ( I know, I did) she pulled through without so much as a scratch with Zac steadfastly by her side. We felt for her and her parents and we knew what they must have been going through. And, thank God (literally) she has become stronger and wiser.
I would say the perpetrator unknowingly did Vanessa a favour in garnering her more fans who admired her for her tenacity and empathised with her . She has kept her dignity throughout and that is part of why we so like her.

I’d like to say thank you to JJ for continuing with the Vanessa Hudgens posts despite all of the idiots on her threads who condemn him for it.
I haven’t posted in a few days and when I do I don’t read others’ posts because some of these people make me so angry- I feel so protective and I don’t even know her, but hey whatever. Taking pictures of yourself naked doesn’t make you a ****. If she was taking pictures of herself having sex or made a video, I could understand some animosity. But grow up, people! She didn’t hurt anyone besides herself, so I don’t see in any point in hating her. Some stars get arrested for bar brawls, drunk driving, and all kinds of stuff and no one really drags it out for a long time. She took ONE picture and people act like it’s Armegeddon or the Apocalypse. She’s obviously moved on and it’s about time the haters did, too. But since you don’t have anything else to hate her for- I guess moving on would be a little difficult. Hate is easy- love takes courage. Love is the movement. (Sorry, a little bit of the hippie in me peeking out.)
It’s sad we spend so much time defending her on these threads and try to keep the tone positive that half the time I don’t even remember to comment on what the thread is actually about. the fact that some of these people don’t know what being a private person means gives you an insight to their IQ level and ability to understand simple sentences. Do save your breath.
The truth is that inspite of the scandal, she has not lost anything of substance and that is what gets to haters the most. If anything, she has an even more devoted boyfriend, an expanding and loyal fanbase, her increasing beauty and talent, her sweet personality, more projects, more recognition and more respect and that sticks like a knife in the haters’ guts.
Nobody is glorifying what she did. It was wrong but any honest person knows that teenagers do worse and hide it but she took responsibility for her actions. I know of 13-16 year olds who are sexually active but their moms think they are still sweet little virgins. These teenagers don’t have the courage to admit to just their moms (not the public) the truth.
I am so certain that all the teenagers here blabbing about Vanessa have stuff in their lives their moms and friends don’t know about them but then the internet is faceless and like the cowards they are, it’s easier to come on here and point fingers at a person that is more courageous and responsible than they could ever be than face their own failings.
Like others have mentioned, tough times that prove character and she’s shown that character by the responsible way she handled that scandal. She’s continued to prove it since with the way she carries herself with grace and poise, the way she approaches her work and fame and her refusal to talk about her relationship publicly.
It’s interesting that most of the haters here cannot handle harsh comments on JJ with any semblance of class or maturity, nevermind handling a scandal. The good thing is that you don’t exist for her and your comments don’t get to her. She’s out there making more success of her life and having a good time to boot and you’re all here making her more popular. It’s a win-win situation.
I love the way she handled the entire interview but I really love that she refuses to acknowledge whoever leaked the photo. She’s filed him as a past mistake and that’s where he’ll remain.

For someone who’s only 19 and had to face that kind of embarrassment, public scrutiny and harsh judgement from the public, Vanessa has done a good job in handling herself.
Haters will only find reason to hate even if the girl has done a great job at bouncing back and holding herself with dignity after the scandal. I admire V because despite her mistakes, she is mature enough to admit it and face the heat head on instead of shrinking away and being a coward about it.
To me that is someone who has character and strength and far more admirable than self proclaimed righteous people who think they can do no wrong and speak derrogatory remarks to someone whom they don’t even know personally.

From the vile, hate filled comments I’ve see on here, the haters do not have the intelligence to write more than ONE or two sentences. And weak ones at that. The SAME thing over and over and over. They can’t think of anything new or original. Maybe it’s because they are so consumed with hate, they can’t think clearly.
Also, I’ve noticed that Zac and Vanessa fans are, as a whole, a group of very intelligent people who have careers as accountants, writers, psychologist, teachers, pharmaceutical reps, computer techs, lawyers, nurses and doctors. Even the younger people who are fans come across as intelligent and coherent.
We fans are consumed with love and goodness in the world. Not hate. That’s why we became Zac and Vanessa fans in the first place. Because they represent a sweetness and kindness that is rare in the world today.

I do agree, Malia, that the haters can only think of one or two things to say and those things don’t take too many words. And those one of two things they repeatedly say have been addressed by the intelligent posters and exposed their stupidity in what they are saying. AND once again, yes it is true, IF only these posters who can only write a few words could READ more than a few words, they would see just how ridiculous they now sound.
As far as the picture—sorry, I will continue to say this—what made it a mistake? Because it was exposed on the internet? Well, that is the situation that was wrong. Anybody has a right to take personal pictures of themselves or other consenting adults in PRIVATE and unless it is putting someone in harm’s way or is a criminal act. or some other deviant behavior then it is THEIR business just like how a couple conduct their intimate affairs—it is their preferences, likes, and dislikes. It is not for me to say it is wrong or that those things make a person a w**** or s###. I was always taught a w**** was a prostitute and a s### had no sense of morality. I don’t see anything that Vanessa has done that would indicate that. And I’m sure those of you who write such things have done far worse and are a far cry from being vestal virgins themselves. Plus, any guy that writes that kind of stuff is just ignorant and not very well informed.

You are right, that is not true about Drake Bell. Drake Bell denied any connection to that picture from the very beginning of the scandal. And Vanessa said in her Seventeen interview that the picture was NOT for Drake Bell. So, all speculation about Drake Bell should be dropped as it is not true.

I love Vanessa, but i think they just didn’t pick a good first single. plus HR didn’t really do much promotion for her. But i believe she’s a talented star. People just hate on her for her leaked pictures, which were taken PRiVately. It sucks that her private life is leaked cos she’s famous and someone would dare do that to her. I think she has bounced back to this really well and matured more. more power to her
She seems very grounded. i hope her career goes well. she deserves it. She’s learned her lesson and apologized for it. No one is perfect and it takes character for someone to admit to their mistakes. I’ m going to add these pesky things called facts to these numbers.
A.) Hollywood Records which is Vanessa’s label did almost no promotion whatsoever.
B.) They did no release ads for “Sneakernight”: to radio stations which meant that it got almost no play.
C.) According to VABN stores were running out of copies on July 1st the day it was released. Indicating that HR seriously undershipped the CD.
Now I admit I don’t much about the inner workings of the music industry, but from what I read I would guess that 22.000 copies is probablyt not to far from the number of copies actually shipped, If that’s the case which I suspect maybe the case it doesn’t seem so bad.
Maybe there was a method to Hollywood Record’s madness, maybe they undershipped the first shipment because they wanted to see how “Identififed” did. Maybe they’ll ship it out in greater quanties now.

However, I don’t think these kids go to school.
Their hate-filled sentences show that they don’t know subject/verb agreement or pronoun and antecedents. Maybe instead of paying attention in English class, they are sitting there thinking up hateful things they can say about people they don’t know.
We mustn’t Forget Marc Ecko and Sears had a hand in promoting Vanessa. Her video was fully sponsored by Red Ecko and when she appeared on TRL she distributed $100 Sears vouchers to the whole audience and the lucky viewer. You must be dumber to think that labels recoup their investments only on first week sales. It appears you like selective quoting and info.
Firstly, their invested nothing in promotion and undershipped the album as most stores where sold out before the week ended so the sales numbers are not unexpected.
Secondly, while high first week sales are desirable, they don’t always ultimately determine how an album sells.
Vanessa’s first album didn’t debut highly at all but went gold in six months and HR more than recouped it’s investment. A fellow disney star’s album debuted very highly but it took it a year and half to be certified gold. Ultimately, the label is interested in total sales not just first week sales, though that matters more to the artist.
Feel free to laugh anyhow. That’s the way it is with Vanessa, she always bounces back and confounds all her haters.
For those sad souls jumping with glee at the low first-week sales . . . Vanessa’s first album sold over 600,000 copies in the US. I’m sure this one will do as well. Especially after her August tour.

Hi Boji, sorry I had to dash out in a hurry yesterday. Good that you’re still enjoying your time with your mom and daughter. It’s great that she’s catching up with friends while she’s home.
Forensic accountants mainly conduct financial investigations. Companies would call us in mostly when there’s been a fraud, hole in the accounts, suspicion of money laundering and things like that.
We also get involved in a lot of disputes between companies or big payout divorces, collating financial evidence and most often, we are called in to give expert witness in court.
We are like medical forensics except we deal with money. Like them, some of it is pleasant but a lot is not, especially when you have to make searches, interview suspects and generally dabble with private things you’d rather not see. Not nice at all but it’s work.

And lastly, why can’t Vanessa have a teddy bear with her in pictures? It doesn’t make her a little girl nor does it make her SEEMS like one. It looks like it is something that makes her happy and gives her a sense of well being—probably an object that gives her a feeling of love. I have such items that I have had for years and they still hold sentimental value to me—no matter what the reason is. Also, to this day when I am very sick and am vomiting—-the worst sickness for me and fortunately I do it rarely—no one makes me feel more comforted than my mother. I am 54 and she is 76. Does that make me a liar or traitor because I, at this age, still take comfort in my mother’s loving hands when I am sick? One picture, not pictures plural. Which is what the interviewer even said, photos plural. So Vanessa was even speaking of the interviewer as being stupid in some ways because everyone that insists on saying nude photos plural is not stating the facts.

Sometimes I have found out through JJ that a comment will go into moderation just because there is a word in it that is not even being used in a derogatory context but raises a red flag for this site or it get stuck in the spasm box for whatever reason but yet some comments that are just hate speech as you say whether it be filled with bigotry, prejudice, or racism, or just being offensively obscene get through. However I think the reason why people in the media keep saying “Pictures” in the plural form is because when that picture hit other pictures athat had been online for a long time some as long six months to a year. These pictures were no big deal they were pictures of Vanessa engaging in typical teenage foolishness with her friends. They were what I would consider “mildly naughty” at worse but nothing more risque then you would see on daytime TV. But because of the BIG ONE they were suddenly a big deal. That’s what people are referring to when they say “pictures.”

However, I’m a little concerned since the votes of the voters are not what will get Zac and Vanessa these awards. I don’t think they will have any trouble getting enough votes to put them in the top 4 choices out of the 5 nominated in their group and I truly think they will get the MOST votes in their individual group but considering a panel is suppose to be the people who finally chooses the winners, I’m not sure if that panel will “allow” both of them to get the male and female hottie awards even though they both may get the most votes. I read the comments here and at VABN that Vanessa’s CD was undershipped. At first, I was a bit sceptical because this fact was not confirmed by her team or HR, so I considered it as speculation of fans, no matter that these complaints were based on real-life experiences.
Today, I went to buy her album in a supermarket in my country and the shopkeeper guy told me that only ‘V’ is available because they got no copies of her new album, ‘Identified’. I went to a music store as well (the biggest one here) and asked about the album but the answer was negative again. This second guy told me that the distributor of her CD sent no copies to them but he could give me the address of a webpage where I can download her music or order her album from a foreign site. (At least he could give me some options.)
I was majorly disappointed in the situation and frustrated because of the (lack of) work Hollywood Records has done. Previously, ‘V’ was available on its debut day in my country so I could not understand what happened, given the fact that Vanessa Hudgens is more popular nowadays than ever.
There was an evaluation of ‘Identified’ in one of the main music magazines here and the CD was ranked good (4 stars out of 5) and claimed as “a potential summer hit”. I was so happy because of it. Until I realized that the evaluation was under the ‘Foreign Albums That Are Not Available Here’ category. (That’s not a proper translation but the gist of it is the same.)
Working for a celebrity/gossip magazine, I have my ways to contact the editor of this publishing and asked him about Vanessa’s CD over the phone. He told me that the album will not be available for some months because the distributor awaits for her statistics of sell during the first few weeks. Later that, if the results are good, they spread her CD on a grander scale, and only that “second” or “post” release would include my country. (Note that I live in a very small country so I have no doubt that her CD is available in the more “developed” nations.) But if the results will not be good, I cannot get a hardcopy of her album.
After all of this, I believe when I hear that HR underestimated her talents and CD. I do not want to reason their motives but let me express my disappointment for once and all. (Dear HR, Go to hell! Bye, midnightwonder. PS. No offence but hire real experts who know their stuff and never underestimate Vanessa Hudgens.) I know from a fact that she has many fans here who wanted to buy her album. At least we can dowload or order it from somewhere else.
(By the way, I am so glad that we have no news concerning Zac and Vanessa’s holiday. I hope they have a good time and can relax.)

I called two Target stores here in the US and they had already sold out the day it was released, but I didn’t ask how many they had received. I got it at Wal-Mart the same day.
People from other countries can order it from Amazon.com.
I am surprised her CD didn’t do better considering she has been in the news a lot since her first CD, between the naked picture scandal and filming HSM3. She appeared on TRL, Regis and Kelly and GMA to promote it, three high-profile shows, but she didn’t sing. Maybe just talking about the music isn’t enough.
Hollywood Records has a major hit with the Camp Rock soundtrack right now so maybe they are channeling all their energy in that direction. Every time I’m in a music store I look to see if V’s CD is in stock, and in the past 10 days I’ve probably been in 8-10 different stores, and it is always there.

I think Hollywood Records needs a good dressing down form Vanessa and her reps. This is ridiculous. Why put time and money into something and then not promote it to the fullest. You’d think if they were half-way decent business people that they would know—if nothing else—to capitalize on her name and her fame at this moment—especially with HSM3 getting so much attention right now. They really must be STUPID. Vanessa would be very wise to leave them behind in the dust.

I live in the UK and it’s not available for sale here yet except through AmazonUK where I got my copies from.
I checked my local HMV and the sales guy said he’s so frustrated because Vanessa is really popular in the UK and several people have come in to ask for the CD but they’ve not yet received their shipment.
It was really undershipped but HR cannot say the sales are not good. I suspect her first week sales are similar to the number shipped out. The fact that most stores ran out of stock before the end of the week is proof to them that it is selling.
My theory is that it will become available in countries other than the US soon after she starts her tours but definitely when promo for HSM 3 kicks off in earnest.
I just want to commend all of you who are true fans of Vanessa and Zac. They are truly grateful for all of you and all of your support.
The reason I am writing this is because I am a close friend and associate to Zac and Vanessa . I have known them for several years. I have been watching the comments on this site for some time and there are three things that are really bothering me about comments that people are making.
Firstly, I notice that many of these comments are bantering comments back and forth between so called older and younger fans. People arguing about how old Zac and Vanessa’s fans should be and who the better fans are, the younger or older ones. This is really petty folks.
Zac and Vanessa love all of their fans. They really don’t care how old you are.
Secondly, I see the older fans especially, really coming down on the haters. This is really noble of you but it just adds fuel to the fire. Let the negative comments go.
Thirdly, Vanessa does come to this site often. She posted a few days ago in fact. She posted on Ashley’s thread though. Her thread was filled with bantering between fans and hate comments. Those who take the time to actually address her personally, I applaud you. She does read what you write here.
Finally, Live in Love . Zac and Vanessa love you guys. Lets keep this site positive for them. They are coming home from a vacation very soon and I would love to see some really positive comments. Thanks.

I do agree about giving less attention to haters as it seems that is what they want but because there are gullible teens that read this blog and believe everything they read and fans for whom English is not a first language, I still stand by the need to address any false statement or rumour that could be misleading. This is why this is an open forum.
Having said that, I think what fans want here is a more pleasant and positive atmosphere where Vanessa and Zac can be appreciated and supported and I think we’re getting there. We’ve come a long way from what their threads used to be like and I for one, am proud to be part of this amazing group of fans.

I agree with you. There are hate posters here who just want to get something started and want attention. Many of us posters who have been around for a while recognize this and usually stay away from those people. But once in a while there are subject that need to be addressed if for no other reason but because there are very young posters here who are impressionable and they need to read what is true and those questionable people need to be kicked off many time through the use of the “report abuse” option.
The posters who write things that are ugly but are just ill-informed also need to have clarity at times in what they have written. this also helps promote truth and fact to get out there to the public which I’m sure Vanessa and Zac appreciate.
Yes, there are times where situations go a little too far but that does happen when emotions are running high. Many of us, though, back off when we find that has happened but we will not allow out and out lies to reign. Some stupid stuff goes by without comment because those type posts are so ridiculous and have been done so many times that it is the poster who is making themselves look foolish, we don’t need to bother.
Lastly. I don’t think Zac and Vanessa spend a lot of time on these sites but I do think Vanessa, particularly, will check them out from time to time. She has said in the past she checked certain sites out everyday. Then after so many false things started being printed she says she didn’t spend her time doing that so much because there was so much out in the world to see and do. Females are more curious about certain things and so I think she still checks things out. I would not be at all surprised if Zac did not bother—typical guy thing and he never did it much anyway according to him. Vanessa even told Jared(yes, our JJ) that she didn’t want him to print anything bad about her because she would be checking. SO, I’d say she still does take a peek.

Besides, there’s nothing like giving a good and constructive argument to get the adrenaline pumping and the reading more interesting.( My opinion) And, I must say we have some pretty good reading here provided by the fans.

“Point 1: When has Vanessa EVER said she wasn’t responsible? She apologized taking the pictures IMMEDIATELY and admitted it was a mistake in her interview in “Seventeen” magazine. It wasn’t meant to be public, Someone leaked it to cause her embarrassment. That’s pretty “stupid:” in my opinion.
“Point” 2: On the contrary there is a site called Metacritic that tracks critical resonse in variouis media (books, movies, music etc), anythng over 60 is considered mostly favorable. “Idenitified:” scored a 65.
I find ironic that you say the CD “stinks and major music criticts agree.” because a) I don’t believe for a nanosecond you’ve listented to it. b) And you quote an obscure source. I’ve read the review in question and I wouldn’t even call it negative it was mixed overall.
I’ve read several reviews and the critical consensus seems to be that “identified” is a good but not great CD.
“Point” 3: It’’s true that “numbers don’t lie” but in this case they may not be telling the story that haters like you insist they are.
I’ve heard several stories that back up the possiblity that the CD was undershipped. Several posters have said that their stores ran out ouf copies within the first couple of days. I went to two stores and the first one was out of “Identiified,” the second store had ONE copy left. Which I grabbed.
Now I don’t know a lot about the music business but I know CDs aren’t like movies where their fates are decided the first weekend. So why don’t we see how the CD does over the next month or so before saying it tanked?

I just want to say a few things about the post from the so -called associate of Zac and Vanessa’s.
1) I do see the point about the older fans vs. younger fans debate. Zac and Vanessa DO appreciate ALL their fans. Having a broad fan base is key to longevity! But you do have to understand……Younger fans are the ones who are always raising the issue about older fans being here, as if we had no right. Well, that’s just one of those things that gets our backs up……….maybe young fans just need to stop with the comments. FANS ARE FANS.
2) Yes, we do respond to haters, and in some cases, does throw fuel on the fire, so to speak. I feel that it is completely necessary in the cases of foul language, death wishes, and comments about character. Sadly, there are very deranged people out there, and we do feel the need to respond at times. Just human nature to defend and support……we are mostly a very positive bunch around here.
3) As far as Vanessa checking in here from time to time? I may believe that. Women, as a rule, would be more interested in what people think of them. Yes, it is just as I suspected the picture you are trying to push off on everyone—and one that a youngster on this board was trying to push the other day in the same fashion—is NOT Zac and Vanessa. It is a still from a movie called Romeo and Juliet by Franco Zeffirelli and it was made in 1968. The picture is of Leonard Whiting who played Romeo in the movie—I believe he was something like 17—-and Olivia Hussey who played Juliet—and she was still 15 when filming the movie. If you don’t believe me go rent the movie and see for yourself for this scene is in there and caused quite a stir at the time because Whiting IS naked and you do get a glimpse of Hussey when she jumps up and scenes like that were not the norm in 1968. It also caused a stir because they were so young. I saw it with either my eighth grade or freshman English class so I know what I am talking about.
Interestingly enough many scenes—I just saw it recently on one of the classic movie channels—-Whiting does look a lot like Zac, or I should say Zac looks a lot like Whiting did then, and it is one reason why Kenny Ortega suggested Zac and Vanessa rent this movie and watch it BEFORE they filmed HSM1. Now, I made your research easy for you.

Goodness, that picture from the Romeo and Juliette movie made the rounds two years ago, again last year, and now another crop of youngsters think it’s Zac and Vanessa.
When I first saw it on a web site with the title Is this Zac Efron? They went into detail explaining that it WAS NOT Zac, but Leonard Whiting and even had a picture of how Whiting looks now.
However, kids have used the picture in a various You Tube shows, declaring that it is Zac and Vanessa, and those who DON’T track down the truth, believe it.
Sad that we live in a world in which propaganda can so easily spread by way of You Tube.

I believe if you go to a website like IMDb and look this movie up and look at the photos from it, this is one of the stills that they show in most cases. Plus, it was either TMC or AMC which ran this movie just a couple weeks ago and there was that scene as plain as day! So, I hate to burst you bubble but you are not going to get anywhere here with this. Too many of us were your “obvious” age in 1968 and saw it firsthand. Also, although Leonard Whiting was never shown from the front—only from the back with his naked bottom—he did do an interview in the 1990’s where he talked about having to be naked in that scene. He says he and Hussey refused many times about taking their clothes off for that scene but finally gave in when the director kept pushing for it. He also says he and Hussey did have a crush on each other for a while and to this day they still talk with each other. Unfortunately Whiting’s career did not develop with the umph that he had in Romeo and Juliet but he writes and teaches now and gives seminars.

Karen, how could I forget Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey. They were the Zac and Vanessa of my era. Their onscreen chemistry did spill over into real life and they did get engaged if I’m not mistaken, but it was a short lived romance, I’m glad to say, unlike our present day Romeo and Juliet. And that was the best R and J movie ever. I idolised these 2 young stars. He was so handsome and she so beautiful. She went onto marrying Dean Martin’s son (can’t remember his name, was it Dino) and that didn’t last long either.
I guess, the young ones are impressionable and take everything at face value. Sometimes, I just don’t know how young the poster I’m dealing with.

We don’t know that. They might or they might not. They’ve never expressed any political opinions or inclinations and it’s never been brought up.
Personally, I think that’s also something we should leave to them as it is their business. There is nothing wrong with expressing political inclinations, it’s just that so much of their lives is so public and analysed in very tiny details with every ill in society being blamed on them, so for me, the less that is known about their non-working lives the better.
Let’s try to take what they choose to reveal to us and not fret about the things they choose to keep private. I think they’ll appreciate that.

a lot of people, especially young kids, can’t tell when a pic has been photoshopped. even a very poor job of photoshopping. they believe everything they see and read on the internet.
#363 As has already been stated neither Vanessa nor Zac have ever stated a political viewpoint. However it was brought up once there was a video that was on TMZ taken back in October where Vanessa was having lunch with Stella and their mom and she wearing shirt that said “Peace Now.” Onje of the paps asked her who she was voting for and she said she didn’t know.
Well the posters on TMZ had a cow. How dare she make a poltical statement with shirt. She probably didn’t know who the canadidates are etc. So I don’t think either of them will be commenting nor do they need to.
as for Zac and Vanessa being or not being Disney Stars - for right now they are definitely Disney Stars - they are not on weekly or daily TV Shows on the Disney Network but their movies play there regularly but they are Disney Stars.
The evidence I saw was in my shopping today. My first trip out today was to the Local Mall - in more than one section I saw the HSM Gang -especially Zac and Vanessa on multiple aisles, on multiple items. From watches/jewelry, to clothes, to dishes, to CDs, to toys etc. My 11 year old son was even teasing me when we were in the bedding section looking for new bedding for my daughter. He laid down on the display with HSM and said he would just sleep by Gabriella and said “move over Troy”. I teased him about getting that for his room but he was kidding.
Then as we walked by Sears entrance there were two GIANT posters of Vanessa on either side of the Mall Entrance - he told his Dad - that’s that girl who was on the bed spread I was teasing Mom about upstairs. (I know she is not part of Disney with this promotion but everyone connects the two.)
Then to the Disney Store and we went in for the “sales” and of course they were there - not at the front where they have been though because obviously Hannah Montana and Camp Rock have the top spot s with Disney but you know in a matter of weeks HSM will be in the window and front again.
Then tonight I went to Target, Walmart, Linen and Things and Lowes — they were everywhere - even in the paint and wallpaper section at Lowe’s !! Walmart had NEW displays of clothes, sunglasses, purses, on their aisles…..they have started putting out the back to school supplies/pencils/pens/backpacks/notebooks - they are on everything……on the birthday party supplies……in the card section…my husband who is not very knowledgable about HSM made the comment to me — they are everywhere — just like Disney World when we were there in April. (we commented then it was hard to find the “Cinderella and Snow White” in the stores - Hannah and HSM were everywhere and even had their own stores with only their merchandise there.)
So while I do think Zac and Vanessa will move on to older roles AFTER HSM3, I think we have to say they are Disney Stars and with all the merchandising that Disney is doing right now with their images (and making a mint) they will be Disney Stars for a long time.
(as I saw all this “new” stuff out today with their faces - I kept thinking - man I hope they make at least a dime off of every item being sold!!)
Pit, I was in a Target today, and was innundated with Camp Rock merchandise! Yuck. That movie did nothing for me; no chemistry, no humor, no fun. But there’s lots of merch out there for back to school!

My daughter and her friend do tease me about my thing with Vanessa and I told her I’m buying her an album to take with her when she returns to college. unfortunately, her album has yet to hit the stores here in my country. I’m always on the lookout for anything Vanessa or hsm, not to buy but just to look at. And you are right, cause everytime I see a Disney counter, I see Zac and Vanessa.

That scene where Vanessa raises her hand and strokes Zac’s hair shows so much tenderness and love in her look, it just melted my heart. (talking about the HSM3 preview)
there is some Camp Rock in the nonDisney stores but not like HSM and Hanna Montana around here at all ……they are hugely popular in our area.

We still havent got news with their vacation. For sure, everything is going on fine. Knowing them two, they are not that sort of people to flaunt around their “sacred relationship”. I really hope that everything work out for them. I like the HSM3 trailers, I cant wait to see the whole movie with my kids. They are looking forward to it as well.

And wonder if they came out and said they were for John McCain? Seeing that you are obviously a Barrak O’bama supporter would you then raz them because they are for the “wrong” person in your eyes? This is why in the US we have the right to have our vote be private. And considering they want their personal lives to be private I seriously doubt you will find out what you want to know on this matter either. I totally agree, Troy, NOBODY is perfect—not politicians either as has been proven time and time again. Nobody has all the answers. One person may be great on one issue and problem and stink on something else. The young don’t always understand, nor do many older people, how politics operate. It is not always a right, wrong, black, white situation—and I’m not talking about morals and race with that statement. There is a lot of compromise and the “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” mentality going on. That’s why I do not like politics. But what I hate worse is some celebrity trying to tell me who to vote for—whether they have any intelligence or not—just because of WHO they are. Some Joe Blow out there might have a better idea but never get to have a chance to say what they think because their name is not George Clooney or Brad Pit. And that is not meant to be a slight against either of these men. So, Zac and Vanessa will be far better off to keep that same private attitude going on in their political lives as they do in their personal relationship.

Yes, the stores with just HSM “stuff” are in Disney World - we go there once per year - we were there last year at Mardi Gras Holidays and then this year for Spring Break Holidays - going back at Mardi Gras next spring too. .
There are stores there dedicated to ONLY HSM in the different Disney Parks there. The biggest one I saw was in Disney Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) and it is all over in the other stores there.
They also do the HSM Show outside the the Chinese Theater several times per day along with a parade. It’s almost like a Pep Rally for the Wildcats. The original version of the show had been HSM but when we went this last spring they had changed it to a combination of both HSM and HSM2. They will probably change it again when HSM3 comes out.
i love the trailer off hsm3 and i love vanessa new cd identified it,s good and zac and vanessa are not back yet from there vac. good for them in august vanessa will sing the hole month witout zac so injoy your vac.
I was thinking about the tour this afternoon - I expect Vanessa will be back soon to start rehearsals - doesn’t her tour start in like 3 weeks at this point? Hopefully they will rehearse in LA so she can stay home for these next few weeks before the tour?? Time will tell though.
I hope she and Zac and thoroughly enjoyed their time away and have relaxed and had fun — they definitely deserve this time away.

I sort of look for these two to stay on their vacation for at least 10 days or if possible a full two weeks. That would still give Vanessa several days to get ready for her tour. They have to have been exhausted after all the work they have been involved with over the past several months. And within a few weeks things are going to start being really hectic again until the first of the year, at least. Then with Zac’s 17 Again movie scheduled to come out in February he will barely have time to relax after the HSM3 tidal wave hits. Plus, if he tries to film another movie between all these things, he will be in dire need of another vacation. Anyway, that’s why I think they will try to stay away as long as they can. It must be like heaven for them at this point. I would think it would be really tough for them when they come back and have to see cameras in their faces non-stop—and you know it’s going to happen since they have been gone so long and the hype of HSM3 has already hit.
they have to be back in a couple of days because zac has to be back in LA to tape the ESPYS on wednesday..so they should be back soon unless they already are and theyve managefd to dodge the paps again
