Vanessa Hudgens: Zac Efron is Doing Okay!

I read the comments here and at VABN that Vanessa’s CD was undershipped. At first, I was a bit sceptical because this fact was not confirmed by her team or HR, so I considered it as speculation of fans, no matter that these complaints were based on real-life experiences.

Today, I went to buy her album in a supermarket in my country and the shopkeeper guy told me that only ‘V’ is available because they got no copies of her new album, ‘Identified’. I went to a music store as well (the biggest one here) and asked about the album but the answer was negative again. This second guy told me that the distributor of her CD sent no copies to them but he could give me the address of a webpage where I can download her music or order her album from a foreign site. (At least he could give me some options.)

I was majorly disappointed in the situation and frustrated because of the (lack of) work Hollywood Records has done. Previously, ‘V’ was available on its debut day in my country so I could not understand what happened, given the fact that Vanessa Hudgens is more popular nowadays than ever.

There was an evaluation of ‘Identified’ in one of the main music magazines here and the CD was ranked good (4 stars out of 5) and claimed as “a potential summer hit”. I was so happy because of it. Until I realized that the evaluation was under the ‘Foreign Albums That Are Not Available Here’ category. (That’s not a proper translation but the gist of it is the same.)

Working for a celebrity/gossip magazine, I have my ways to contact the editor of this publishing and asked him about Vanessa’s CD over the phone. He told me that the album will not be available for some months because the distributor awaits for her statistics of sell during the first few weeks. Later that, if the results are good, they spread her CD on a grander scale, and only that “second” or “post” release would include my country. (Note that I live in a very small country so I have no doubt that her CD is available in the more “developed” nations.) But if the results will not be good, I cannot get a hardcopy of her album.

After all of this, I believe when I hear that HR underestimated her talents and CD. I do not want to reason their motives but let me express my disappointment for once and all. (Dear HR, Go to hell! Bye, midnightwonder. PS. No offence but hire real experts who know their stuff and never underestimate Vanessa Hudgens.) I know from a fact that she has many fans here who wanted to buy her album. At least we can dowload or order it from somewhere else.

(By the way, I am so glad that we have no news concerning Zac and Vanessa’s holiday. I hope they have a good time and can relax.)

#266 Karen, I am a bit concerned about that “panel” thing, too. And, you may be right about Zac’s getting Male Hottie last year preventing him from getting it this year.

Might depend on who’s on the panel. I mean if someone gets a bizillion more votes than everyone else, you’d think they’d select that person as the winner.

BTW, this will be the 7TH DAY without pictures of our favorite couple. Yeah to them for pulling this off.

I am surprised her CD didn’t do better considering she has been in the news a lot since her first CD, between the naked picture scandal and filming HSM3. She appeared on TRL, Regis and Kelly and GMA to promote it, three high-profile shows, but she didn’t sing. Maybe just talking about the music isn’t enough.

Hollywood Records has a major hit with the Camp Rock soundtrack right now so maybe they are channeling all their energy in that direction. Every time I’m in a music store I look to see if V’s CD is in stock, and in the past 10 days I’ve probably been in 8-10 different stores, and it is always there.

I think Hollywood Records needs a good dressing down form Vanessa and her reps. This is ridiculous. Why put time and money into something and then not promote it to the fullest. You’d think if they were half-way decent business people that they would know—if nothing else—to capitalize on her name and her fame at this moment—especially with HSM3 getting so much attention right now. They really must be STUPID. Vanessa would be very wise to leave them behind in the dust.

I just want to commend all of you who are true fans of Vanessa and Zac. They are truly grateful for all of you and all of your support.

The reason I am writing this is because I am a close friend and associate to Zac and Vanessa . I have known them for several years. I have been watching the comments on this site for some time and there are three things that are really bothering me about comments that people are making.

Firstly, I notice that many of these comments are bantering comments back and forth between so called older and younger fans. People arguing about how old Zac and Vanessa’s fans should be and who the better fans are, the younger or older ones. This is really petty folks.
Zac and Vanessa love all of their fans. They really don’t care how old you are.

Secondly, I see the older fans especially, really coming down on the haters. This is really noble of you but it just adds fuel to the fire. Let the negative comments go.

Thirdly, Vanessa does come to this site often. She posted a few days ago in fact. She posted on Ashley’s thread though. Her thread was filled with bantering between fans and hate comments. Those who take the time to actually address her personally, I applaud you. She does read what you write here.

Finally, Live in Love . Zac and Vanessa love you guys. Lets keep this site positive for them. They are coming home from a vacation very soon and I would love to see some really positive comments. Thanks.

That all sounds well and good but unfortunately I cannot be sure it’s at all true. Posers abound and you could be just another.

I’m not sure if Tg is a valid associate of Vanessa and Zac or not though he/she sounds pretty sensible to me. However, like harrison, we’ve experienced so many posers here that one can never be too sure.

Whichever way, there’s nothing amiss with what (the heck, I’ll go with he) he said.

We’ve established that Zac and Vanessa appreciate all their fans.
Our support here is not contingent on their noticing it. We would continue to support them whether they read this comments or not.
If they do read this, I’m happy they know that they do bring joy to a lot of people’s lives and that they are appreciated and loved by people of all ages and cultures. Hopefully, this would encourage them to keep doing what they’re doing and to keep being happy.

I do agree about giving less attention to haters as it seems that is what they want but because there are gullible teens that read this blog and believe everything they read and fans for whom English is not a first language, I still stand by the need to address any false statement or rumour that could be misleading. This is why this is an open forum.

Having said that, I think what fans want here is a more pleasant and positive atmosphere where Vanessa and Zac can be appreciated and supported and I think we’re getting there. We’ve come a long way from what their threads used to be like and I for one, am proud to be part of this amazing group of fans.
