Vanessa Hudgens dishes on music, movies and boyfriend Zac Efron to ABC’s Good Morning America Radio. Here are some of the highlights from her interview:
On her fans backing her up after the nude photo scandal hit: “My fans were amazing because they have stood by my side. They really are my core group. My family’s always there for me. I just surround myself with good people and try to think of good things.”
On how she felt when the photos first hit the Internet: “I think people thought I took it lighter than I really did. For me, it was really tough because I’m a private person and for something like that at to happen, it’s so mean. It’s just a horrible thing. It sucks. But thankfully it’s over and it’s in the past.”
On who leaked her nude photos: “Stupid people.”
On how her relationship is with Zac Efron: “It’s good, thank you.”

I find it funny when people think - or imply - that Vanessa Hudgens is Gabriella Montez. She is not innocent and perfect because she is NOT a character in a Disney movie but a real person with flaws and all. She lives her life in a way she wants to, and that means from time to time she makes mistakes as well. After all, she is a human being, just like you, me, Ashley Tisdale and everybody else.
But one thing is for sure: Vanessa is a natural beauty, I agree with you.

#331, there’s no need for speculation here. What goes on behind closed doors stays behind closed doors. Zac and Vanessa are a couple,period. We don’t need to know whether they are sexually active or not. If that is what you’re obssessing about, well, you have alot of growing up to do. Go figure.

I just want to say a few things about the post from the so -called associate of Zac and Vanessa’s.
1) I do see the point about the older fans vs. younger fans debate. Zac and Vanessa DO appreciate ALL their fans. Having a broad fan base is key to longevity! But you do have to understand……Younger fans are the ones who are always raising the issue about older fans being here, as if we had no right. Well, that’s just one of those things that gets our backs up……….maybe young fans just need to stop with the comments. FANS ARE FANS.
2) Yes, we do respond to haters, and in some cases, does throw fuel on the fire, so to speak. I feel that it is completely necessary in the cases of foul language, death wishes, and comments about character. Sadly, there are very deranged people out there, and we do feel the need to respond at times. Just human nature to defend and support……we are mostly a very positive bunch around here.
3) As far as Vanessa checking in here from time to time? I may believe that. Women, as a rule, would be more interested in what people think of them. If she does, then it gives us all the more reason to keep it positive and encouraging around here. We just like to make sure there’s more of that, than the ugly stuff!! And we’re very sincere in our praise……

With your username I can only assume that you are here to kick up some dust but you are going to lose. IF you are challenging Boji in some way over her #312 post you are the one who looks ridiculous because you don’t understand sarcasm because that is what that post was all about. Also, IF the YouTube link was the picture I think it might be—I couldn’t access it so I can’t be sure—that picture isn’t even Zac and Vanessa. You should do a little more research.

Yes, it is just as I suspected the picture you are trying to push off on everyone—and one that a youngster on this board was trying to push the other day in the same fashion—is NOT Zac and Vanessa. It is a still from a movie called Romeo and Juliet by Franco Zeffirelli and it was made in 1968. The picture is of Leonard Whiting who played Romeo in the movie—I believe he was something like 17—-and Olivia Hussey who played Juliet—and she was still 15 when filming the movie. If you don’t believe me go rent the movie and see for yourself for this scene is in there and caused quite a stir at the time because Whiting IS naked and you do get a glimpse of Hussey when she jumps up and scenes like that were not the norm in 1968. It also caused a stir because they were so young. I saw it with either my eighth grade or freshman English class so I know what I am talking about.
Interestingly enough many scenes—I just saw it recently on one of the classic movie channels—-Whiting does look a lot like Zac, or I should say Zac looks a lot like Whiting did then, and it is one reason why Kenny Ortega suggested Zac and Vanessa rent this movie and watch it BEFORE they filmed HSM1. Now, I made your research easy for you.
I also hope our little 13 year old reads this post. You see, you were wrong when you were using that picture in an attempt to get attention the other night.

Goodness, that picture from the Romeo and Juliette movie made the rounds two years ago, again last year, and now another crop of youngsters think it’s Zac and Vanessa.
When I first saw it on a web site with the title Is this Zac Efron? They went into detail explaining that it WAS NOT Zac, but Leonard Whiting and even had a picture of how Whiting looks now.
However, kids have used the picture in a various You Tube shows, declaring that it is Zac and Vanessa, and those who DON’T track down the truth, believe it.
Sad that we live in a world in which propaganda can so easily spread by way of You Tube.

Most young people today would have seen the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DeCaprio and Clare Danes NOT the 1968 version with Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey.
Regarding the Franco Zeffirelli version of Romeo and Juliet:
The film is notable for being one of the first filmed versions of the play in which the main actors are near the ages of the characters in the play; Leonard Whiting was seventeen during filming, and Olivia Hussey was fifteen.
The film was once rated G in the United States, but was later re-rated PG (which, in 1968, was the only rating below R) primarily because of a n-u-d-e scene featuring Hussey.
Zeffirelli had to get special permission for Hussey to appear n-u-d-e in the film as she was only 15 years old at the time. Hussey later amusingly recalled that she was not permitted to view the film because it contained her own breasts.
