Vanessa Hudgens dishes on music, movies and boyfriend Zac Efron to ABC’s Good Morning America Radio. Here are some of the highlights from her interview:
On her fans backing her up after the nude photo scandal hit: “My fans were amazing because they have stood by my side. They really are my core group. My family’s always there for me. I just surround myself with good people and try to think of good things.”
On how she felt when the photos first hit the Internet: “I think people thought I took it lighter than I really did. For me, it was really tough because I’m a private person and for something like that at to happen, it’s so mean. It’s just a horrible thing. It sucks. But thankfully it’s over and it’s in the past.”
On who leaked her nude photos: “Stupid people.”
On how her relationship is with Zac Efron: “It’s good, thank you.”

It’s great how at such a young age she actually appreciates everything she has been blessed with and does not let the negative override it. She looks forward to the future as she realizes dreams do come true with a lot of hardwork and perserverence.

I’d like to say thank you to JJ for continuing with the Vanessa Hudgens posts despite all of the idiots on her threads who condemn him for it.
I haven’t posted in a few days and when I do I don’t read others’ posts because some of these people make me so angry- I feel so protective and I don’t even know her, but hey whatever. Taking pictures of yourself naked doesn’t make you a ****. If she was taking pictures of herself having sex or made a video, I could understand some animosity. But grow up, people! She didn’t hurt anyone besides herself, so I don’t see in any point in hating her. Some stars get arrested for bar brawls, drunk driving, and all kinds of stuff and no one really drags it out for a long time. She took ONE picture and people act like it’s Armegeddon or the Apocalypse. She’s obviously moved on and it’s about time the haters did, too. But since you don’t have anything else to hate her for- I guess moving on would be a little difficult. Hate is easy- love takes courage. Love is the movement. (Sorry, a little bit of the hippie in me peeking out.)
It’s sad we spend so much time defending her on these threads and try to keep the tone positive that half the time I don’t even remember to comment on what the thread is actually about. I think she did a fabulous job and I wish all reporters/interviewers were as respectful as that woman (sorry, didn’t catch her name). And she looks fabulous, as usual. Peace.

Vanessa Hudgens is a disgrace to young women. She’s a fake and a good liar. Her new album sucks and so does she.
what’s amazing about her? plus, i don’t think it’s right for her to pose like she’s a victim in the whole nude pix scandal. she did that to herself.
she might be young but that does not excuse what she did. so my opinion is, this girl is far from being “amazing”. it’s pretty sad when people nowadays idolize girls like her.

Vanessa has really come a long way this year and has come through as a shining star. The “stupid people ” who leaked the pic hoping to cause her and her career damage have really in a sense failed. She has come out of this for the better in every way. She is more articulate , poised, grownup, thankful, etc., etc. She learned a life lesson and I’m sure has taught her sister and other young girls to think before you act.
I think maybe God used her as a vehicle to teach others and now she is being blessed by a great fan base,wonderful boyfriend, family, friends, and career.
Always keep the faith, Vanessa. I know you will.

the fact that some of these people don’t know what being a private person means gives you an insight to their IQ level and ability to understand simple sentences. Do save your breath.
The truth is that inspite of the scandal, she has not lost anything of substance and that is what gets to haters the most. If anything, she has an even more devoted boyfriend, an expanding and loyal fanbase, her increasing beauty and talent, her sweet personality, more projects, more recognition and more respect and that sticks like a knife in the haters’ guts.
Nobody is glorifying what she did. It was wrong but any honest person knows that teenagers do worse and hide it but she took responsibility for her actions. I know of 13-16 year olds who are sexually active but their moms think they are still sweet little virgins. These teenagers don’t have the courage to admit to just their moms (not the public) the truth.
I am so certain that all the teenagers here blabbing about Vanessa have stuff in their lives their moms and friends don’t know about them but then the internet is faceless and like the cowards they are, it’s easier to come on here and point fingers at a person that is more courageous and responsible than they could ever be than face their own failings.
Like others have mentioned, tough times that prove character and she’s shown that character by the responsible way she handled that scandal. She’s continued to prove it since with the way she carries herself with grace and poise, the way she approaches her work and fame and her refusal to talk about her relationship publicly.
It’s interesting that most of the haters here cannot handle harsh comments on JJ with any semblance of class or maturity, nevermind handling a scandal. The good thing is that you don’t exist for her and your comments don’t get to her. She’s out there making more success of her life and having a good time to boot and you’re all here making her more popular. It’s a win-win situation.
I love the way she handled the entire interview but I really love that she refuses to acknowledge whoever leaked the photo. She’s filed him as a past mistake and that’s where he’ll remain.
It’s an empty victory for him as she’s become even more well-known, her boyfriend is still with her, she’s acquired more fans, her career is not dented and he…he remains a nameless unknown, nothing changed.
She’s very pretty even though having naked pictures on the internet is not very cool or smart of her

Just one comment to all the ‘haters’on this thread ……..come down off that moral high ground you all seem to be occupying.
Everyone makes mistakes,how you deal with them helps you to grow as a person.Vanessa has dealt with what happened to her with great maturity.
