nlm, I think they mean she’s fat in comparison to what she’d so meticulously molded herself into during the “newly weds” era. she was all about her looks…the media only focused on her body…and that’s why she didn’t sell records. she actually looks like she did when she first came out and no, that’s nowhere near fat but it’s certainly not the hard body she had during the nick and jess phase. and i agree with the person who said she morphs into who she’s dating…she’s trying really really hard to sell this country record isn’t she? the genre has changed but i really can’t see her selling records…sorry.

I think the fit of that dress makes her look heavier than she actually is. It’s not at all flattering to her chest. Sadly, it seems she’s purchased that style in every color they make since that’s all she’s been wearing lately.

And marie, i totally agree with you about her having no sense of her own identity. Without a man, be it her perv father or a boyfriend she seems to think she can’t exist. It’s really sad. Nick was probably the only person who ever knew the real her and she invited her father to ruin that for her.
