OlderNicole Kidman: We’re So Blessed
Proud parents Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban just released a statement about their beautiful four-day-old daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.
“We feel immensely blessed and grateful to be given this beautiful baby girl,” the Aussie power couple tells People. “She’s an absolute delight.”
Nicole, 41, gave birth to Sunday at a Nashville hospital on Monday, with Keith, 40, by her side throughout the delivery.
On Tuesday, Nicole’s father Antony told Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph that Sunday’s name was inspired by 20th-century artist’s muse Sunday Reed.
Mr. Kidman said, “I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John – she was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century. The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it.”
Sunday’s middle name is a tribute to Keith’s late grandmother Rose.

#46, it’s called confidentiality. The hospital can’t comment either way. Speaking objectively, I don’t believe that woman was pregnant. Sorry, posting that tall women carry differently doesn’t cut it. Many actresses and models are tall and even thinner than Nicole and show somewhere.
The rumor wasn’t that the sister carried the baby, but that it was her egg. Notice the statement says “given.” Take that as you like.
#46- even if she was “given” her sisters egg, she still would have been pregnant, therefore still being tall and carrying differently than people who decide to sit aroud and eat their whole 9 months.
I don’t get all the skeptics. Can’t they just be happy for a couple that that are ecstatic to have their first baby together

This ‘faked pregnancy’ conspiracy theory is so bizarre. The woman is almost 6′ tall! Lucky Nicole…women as tall as she usually do not look big when pregnant. I am 5′7″ and was 115 lbs at my first weigh-in during my first pregnancy. Gained a healthy 40 lbs and baby weighed 7 1/2 lbs…. but like the above poster I didn’t get into maternity clothes until the last trimester. My coworkers used to hassle me all the time, asking when I was going to look like a pregnant woman. So I can easily understand how a woman a full 4 inches taller than me, like Nicole, would look very slender.
Oh my God! Why all the hatred?? Can’t you guys be happy for her? Well, the world sure does have a lot of rude and insensitive people.

Nobody in the right mind would try to fake a pregnancy; the lie is too easily exposed. There are a lot of mean-spirited, bitter people on these threads who like to throw bricks at anyone’s happiness since they have none in their own lives. I’m 5-6 and weighed 112 lbs when I got pregnant. I only gained 23 pounds the whole nine months, went full-term and had a seven pound two ounce baby.
Some women carry big, some women carry small. Nicole carried small; that’s why I suspected she was having a girl. There’s an old wives tale that says if you carry toward the front it’s a boy; if you carry towards the back, it’s a girl. I carried toward the front and had a boy. Well, hey, it’s right 50% of the time. ;)

Ummm….I am not sure about calling their experience “blessed” considering she was stuffed with a PILLOW for the entire time and holding her faux baby bump during photo op…its pretty obvious this woman is trying to sell the bump craze public that she is also expecting…so wrong…so wrong…
Congratulations again to Keith & Nicole. They have ever right to be overjoyed and blessed by the birth of their baby girl. Why wouldn’t they be? This baby is a MIRACLE for Nicole. It doesn’t mean she has forgotten about her other two adopted children. This is a new chapter in her life. A real marriage with someone who truly loves her, and a new baby. Keith and Nicole are in a great place. I couldn’t be happier for them. There is no way that she was not pregnant. You people are insane for thinking so. Miracles DO happen. Get over yourselves. Karma’s a *****, don’t forget that.

I don’t mind Sunday Rose. It is a bit too close to ‘Sunday Roast’ BUT it’s pretty and a nicer name than Suri (sounds like an alien), Shiloh (a Disney dog’s name) and Apple (nuff said).
