OlderAngelina Jolie Gives Birth To Twins
Angelina Jolie has given birth to her twins, sources at the La Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, have revealed to In Touch.
According to insiders, the 33-year-old actress had a caesarean today at 6pm French time and delivered two healthy girls. The first baby was born at 6:45 pm and the other at 7pm. Sources say partner Brad Pitt was present during the birth.
The hospital’s spokesperson, Nadine Bauer, said that media would not be notified ”within minutes” after the birth and that the only way they would be told was by a press release posted on the hospital Web site. Another insider adds that Angelina is expected to leave the hospital with her newborns within 48 hours.

UPDATE: Extra has confirmed that Angie hasn’t given birth to her twins. In an emailed statement regarding the reports, spokesperson for the Lenval Hospital in Nice, France, Nadine Bauer, says, “It is wrong information.”

Thanks for the update and warning about whether or not it is true! One of the things I like about your site Jared is that you are careful to print stories that are truthful (that is verified by something like People and not the National Enquirer) and you correct your threads when they are wrong (unlike say Perez who swore his inside info on Kidman had her producing a boy)!

Something fishy about this. In Touch is claiming they have an exclusive source at the hospital. I don’t believe they have an exclusive anything. If this turns out to be another false alarm I will be delighted to see In Touch with egg all over its face.
US Magazine is also reporting it, but they are calling it a rumor.
I don’t know if the story is true, but if it is the babies may not have been born by c-section. The once c-section always c-section rule doesn’t always apply. I’m inclined to wait to hear the news from a reliable source before I excited about it.
I just read an article about a woman who give birth to the first twin vaginally and the other had to have an emergency c-section. Even with the c-section the story is that it was only 3 minutes between the births. 15 minutes is a long time for a c-section I would think. We’ll all know soon enough.

Dustin Hoffman said August 19. Angelina has never confirmed this, and it does seem strange that Hoffman would reveal her due date, I think.
Even if August 19 is correct, I think it is extremely rare that twins are carried to full term.

Numerous mags are reporting that Brad and Angelina’s twins are OUT but our source at the hospital says, NOT TRUE!
In fact, we’ve just called the hospital and the attendant in the maternity ward said the reports are FALSE!
Special food was delivered at 7:30 a.m. so we’re guessing she didn’t just come out of the delivery room …
Our sources say she’s scheduled for a C-section on Monday and the hospital is planning to put the babies in incubators because they are still small.
We’re ready for this mystery and intrigue to be over with and just get those twins into the world, already!!!!

Nothing new so far, just an old release from july the 2nd, which says that she is ok and is undergoing what mothers of twins are doing by staying in the hospital for normal checking until the twins are born.

If it’s not true, and the due date is in July, then tomorrow, the 14th, would be a perfect day for a c-section! If the due date is sometime in August, then the 8th of August would be ideal!!!

Seriously, I really think this is a wrong move posting tabloid reports all the time, particularly when it’s the same rags that historically won’t hesitate to slander Angelina on it’s covers.
Talk to us Jared — e-mail someone on the list, and tell us why, other than $$ short term this is a good idea for you. Long term it would seem to be a very bad idea that would equate to po’d JP fans.
Hey, I’m behind you all the way, if somehow you could influence the Bauer sh*t rags like InTouch and Life & Style, to write bullsh*t that is NOT nasty and snarky.
But somehow I doubt you have that much influence on them. If you do, just tell us, and I not only will praise the move, and be happy for you, I might starting buying the rags. It’s just been my experience that aside from the lies they tell, they happen to beat Angelina up almost weekly. If you can stop it, by telling them you can deliver the Brangelina/JP fans to them if they stop kicking her in the head, then hey man - I’ll support your decision (and your site, as usual) 100%.
However if that’s NOT what this new relationship with tabs is about, sooner or later, the fans will get tired of wading through the bullsh*t abusive stories we’ve come to expect from them, on your site.
Just going from experience though - today’s innocuous twin birth story item from a Bauer rag (InTouch), is just tomorrow’s ‘Brad Walks Out & Takes ALL Bio Children ONLY with Him!!!’ story or ‘Twins are being stalked - why Angelina is endangering her kids!!” story.

I’m a fan and all, but it’s not likely that I will remember which magazine or news outlet will break the news. Hell, I barely remember whether I heard about Shiloh here or on CNN or Headline News. And deep down, the magazines and news outlets know this too, hence the constant shoutouts to themselves.
Ironically, Outta Touch is partially responsible for the lack of resonance when celebrity ‘news’ break. Their business is shilling cr@p; they can’t expect people to perceive them as this generation’s Cronkite.
Okay, we know this latest ‘twin birth,’ story is a lie ..but why are these rags so sure it’s twin girls anyway?? once again paying medical personnel and bribing them probably, maybe from way back when AJ was still the states and seeing doctors, getting tests and ultra sounds etc. They probably sold an ultra sound scan to the highest bidding ragloid or something, and they had their own med personnel go over it. Creepy bishes.

Read what Nadin Bauer said. The only way the that media would not be notified ”within minutes” after the birth and that the only way they would be told was by a press release posted on the hospital Web site.
The media is not going to be notified minutes after Angie gives birth. In other words notifying the media is not their first priority. And the only way they will be notified is through the hospital’s web site. In other words, they are not going to be notifying individual tabs, like Outta Touch, People, or any other media source. They will all get the news at the same time.
So until we see the announcement posted at People, CNN, US Weakly, and every other media outlet at the same time everything else is bs. That’s my take on what was said, and I am sticking with it. Peace

Every move, whether adoption or birth has been thought out and planned. The thing that Angelina emphasized most was giving each child ‘their’ time. They have managed this in the past and there is no reason to doubt that they will not continue to do so. Remember Jon and Kate Plus 8? The Dilleys who had 6 at one time too? The Duggar family of Arkansas who have 18 kids? These families with less resources seem to be doing fine. Let’s give Angelina and Brad credit. They will not do anything that is not in the best interest of ALL their children.

Nah, PEOPLE doesn’t have anything on it’s site and they are in the running for the pics so I don’t think it’s true.
I caught a piece on TMZ tv that PEOPLE & OK are competing for the first pics of the babies and the price is up to $16 million…..how insane is that? There are people dying of starvation and poverty all over the world and some MAGAZINE is going to pay this couple $16 MILLION DOLLARS for pictures of their BABIES??!! That pisses me off so bad…it just makes me want to puke. What kind of world do we live in for crying out loud??!!
The absolute only half-way decent thing about this is that it happens to be Brad & Angie because they will turn around and donate a huge chunk of that to charity. But the principle of it s*cks a*s.
Another thing TMZ said was that a condition of gaining the pics first is that the magazine will not be allowed to refer to them as BRANGELINA….lol….I thought that was funny. It’s about time….they are totally the JOLIE-PITTS….but I feel sorry for sites like brangelina. com because it is kind of a slap in the face to the fans there. jmo

Sooooooo….would it be okay to post it if more than one tab is saying it? Multiple tabs reported it the last time when ET was insisting she’d given birth. Jared posted that and you guys got mad at him then, too. The poor guy can’t win. Apparently none of you remember that Shiloh’s original birth announcement came from Lifeless & Styleless and then was confirmed about 2 hours later by Cindy G.
Personally I’m getting quite a chuckle out of all the tabs, ratzi agencies and tv shows trying to be the first to break the news about the birth. Sooner or later one of them is going to be right…and when Jared doesn’t post the news as a new thread then you guys will be whining that he’s “late” like some people did the other day with the photos from Bono’s house. Jared’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. So he might was well do as he damned well pleases. Especially since none of you ever seem to have the balls to e-mail him directly with your complaints and post them here instead. You might want to try actually e-mailing the guy. Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has given birth to healthy twins, a girl and a boy, in the French Riviera maternity clinic she has checked into, the Nice-Matin newspaper has reported, quoting her gynaecologist.
The twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born shortly before 8pm on Saturday (0300 AEST Sunday), the paper said quoting gynaecologist Michel Sussmann.
Jolie is fine after having a Caesarian section, it added.
Knox Leon was reported to weigh 2.27 kilograms (five pounds) and Vivienne Marcheline 2.28 kilograms (5.02 pounds).
The babies’ first photograph was sold to a US paper for $US11 million ($A11.45 million), Nice-Matin said, adding that the money would be given to a humanitarian cause.
A source close to the clinic had said earlier the birth was expected in mid-August.
The twins brought 33-year-old Jolie’s brood with partner Brad Pitt to six.
Pitt was seen entering Nice’s Santa Maria clinic, part of the Lanval hospital on the seafront Promenade des Anglais, on July 2 with at least two of their children.
A spokesperson for Lanval could not immediately be reached Sunday morning to confirm the report.
Jolie and Pitt, 44, have been the subject of celebrity gossip fascination since they met on the set of their 2005 film Mr and Mrs Smith.
Dubbed “Brangelina,” they have adopted three children: Maddox, six, born in Cambodia; four-year-old Pax, born in Vietnam; and Zahara, three, born in Ethiopia.

Well, I think that even if the story was true, the hospital will not release the statement until at least a day later or so..Why? For the same reasons why she did not confirmed until Cannes that she was having twins that is, as a mom she wants to make sure that the babies are healthy and might want to bond a little bit.
Also, aren’tt paparazzis following Brad and the children all day? well, if paparrazis did then most likely they know if all of the children/family was in the hospital at the time of the birth or later.

It is most definitely NOT true. There would not be 15 minutes between the births of twins born by c-sections. Sorry people, but this is a false alarm. When the twins are born (if by c-section) there births will be within 2-3 minutes of each other. Also the births would not be at such exact times (6:45pm and 7:00pm).

LuckyL……I don’t hide that I am a fan of Jen. I adore her and that post was aimed at the whack jobs….like sshhii here….who mindlessly post venom-filled cr*p about someone involved in a situtation that they have absolutely no inside knowledge of. Furthermore, I was royally pissed that day because the so-called JP fans….and the true ones here know I am not talking about them….were posting ugly rants on that particular Jen thread against THE KIDS that were in the ad with Jen!! I normally do not join in on the idiocy on these threads but THAT one got me. I’m sorry but I just don’t think that Brad and Angie would EVER respect or admire or even want to admit that these people….like sshhii….are their fans. I personally believe that they would appreciate someone who admires them AND Jen….someone who does not have to trash Jen in order to make themselves feel better about Angie! Don’t you guys GET that??

I really hope Brad knows just how lucky he is to be with Angelina. Someone who gives so much time and energy to others but is also very dedicated to her lovely family. Angelina found a real man that completed her this time. I’ve never seen Brad this happy to be a devoted partner and father. It seems he just really loves his children and would do anything to make Jolie happy.

NICE, France (AFP) - Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has given birth to healthy twins, a girl and a boy, in the French Riviera maternity clinic she has checked into, the Nice-Matin newspaper reported Sunday quoting her gynaecologist.

The twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born shortly before 8:00 pm (1800 GMT) on Saturday, the paper said quoting gynaecologist Michel Sussmann.
Jolie is fine after having a Caesarian section, it added.
Knox Leon was reported to weigh 2.27 kilogrammes (five pounds) and Vivienne Marcheline 2.28 kilogrammes (5.02 pounds).
The babies’ first photograph was sold to a US paper for 11 million dollars (6.9 million euros), Nice-Matin said, adding that the money would be given to a humanitarian cause.
A source close to the clinic had said earlier the birth was expected in mid-August.
The twins brought 33-year-old Jolie’s brood with partner Brad Pitt to six.
Pitt was seen entering Nice’s Santa Maria clinic, part of the Lanval hospital on the seafront Promenade des Anglais, on July 2 with at least two of their children.
A spokesperson for Lanval could not immediately be reached Sunday morning to confirm the report.
Jolie and Pitt, 44, have been the subject of celebrity gossip fascination since they met on the set of their 2005 film “Mr and Mrs Smith.”
Dubbed “Brangelina,” they have adopted three children: Maddox, six, born in Cambodia; four-year-old Pax, born in Vietnam; and Zahara, three, born in Ethiopia.
They also had a biological child, Shiloh, born in Namibia, in May 2006.

We are Jolie -Pitt fans and think the world of them. We would never wish Jen harm or anything of the sort. Jen at one time was with Brad and to totally cut her out would be wrong. They had something at one time and it simply didn’t work for whatever reason. I was an Angelina fan before Brad but since they are now together it just completes her. I so wish Jen happiness and great things in her life as I do for Brad and Angelina. Pitting Jen against Angelina is so wrong because these two grown women have moved on. I’ve seen women with children move on with their lives much easier than these fans have. More people would feel more empathy if children were involved and it was a longer marriage but I simply think not having children involved was much easier to except.

If the birth news is true this time, congratulations is in order for Angie & Brad. I hope everything is all right with Angie & the twins. Regarding the choice of names, i think they are NICE SOUNDING names plus the fact they are RARELY used. I like UNIQUE names & have POSITIVE EQUIVALENT MEANINGS. NOT CHEESY OR NOT “HOLLYWOODish” sound names. Angie is not known for giving names to her children that has no significant meaning/ relation to their lives. Thus, the names KNOX LEON & VIVIENNE MARCHELINE are just appropriate to them.
