Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie welcomed healthy twins on Saturday night at Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France–a boy named Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt and a girl named Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt.
Vivienne is the French form of Vivian, which reflects her place of birth. Her middle name was chosen as a nod to her late grandmother, Marcheline Bertrand (Angelina’s mother who lost a battle with ovarian cancer). Knox was the middle name of Brad’s maternal grandfather (His mom was James Etta Hillhouse, her father was Hal Knox Hillhouse). Leon is the name of Angelina’s great-great grandfather.
To add fuel to the fire, Brad and Angelina’s attorneys at law firm, Lavely & Singer, snatched up all domain name combinations of the twins’ names mere hours ago. Here are all of the ones taken so far:

If so, it was a smart move on their part. Now I hope they can get those babies out of the hospital without a bajillion cameras stuck in their faces.

Here’s to Angelina’s speedy recovery!!!!! Cesareans are hard on the body!!! Too bad it could not be a safe natural birth. The recovery is much easier and shorter.

Actress Angelina Jolie has given birth to her partner Brad Pitt’s twins, her French doctor has said

The Hollywood actress is in a hospital in France expecting twins
After weeks of speculation - and one false alarm - the babies have arrived.
Jolie checked in to the maternity unit at the Lenval Hospital in Nice, near the South of France home she shares with partner Brad Pitt on July 1
Jolie made her last public appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in May, when she appeared heavily pregnant. Her co-star Jack Black claimed the babies were due in August.
A bidding way is already under way for the first pictures of the twins, with reports that the eventual price could top $20 million.
The Hollywood couple would likely donate any money to charity, as they did for pictures of their daughter, Shiloh, in 2006.
Earlier this month they announced a $1 million donation to help child victims of the war in Iraq.
Jolie and Pitt moved to the South of France several months ago and have made their home in the hamlet of Correns, in the Provence region.
In addition to Shiloh, the couple have three adopted children: Maddox, six, Pax, four, and Zahara, three.
At the end of May, rumours swept the internet that Jolie had given birth, with reports even naming the twins as Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane.
US television proramme Entertainment Tonight claimed that a source inside the delivery room had confirmed the story - but it later turned out to be a hoax.

According to the ‘In Touch’ website, Jolie had a Caesarean section at 6pm (French Time) on July 12th 2008. She then gave birth to two twin baby girls, one at 6:45pm and one at 7pm (both French Time.)[75] However, soon after the hospital, La Fondation Lenval in Nice, France, denied this information. TV Quick also announced the prior announcement was fake. The wait continues.
According to Stargina, Jolie did give birth to a boy and a girl named, respectively, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. These reports were confirmed when Stargina discovered that Jolie’s lawyers Lavely-Singer registered the domain names KnoxLeon.com and VivienneMarcheline.com on the afternoon of 12th, July, 2008. Jolie’s legal team did the same thing when her first biological daughter, Shiloh Nouvel was born in 2006. [76]

This is lovely and exciting news. How wonderful it must be to hold healthy twins in one’s arms. It will be exciting to see photos of the little ones when their mother is rested and well enough for pictures. A c-section is major surgery, so Angelina Jolie will need time to recover first.
