Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie welcomed healthy twins on Saturday night at Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France–a boy named Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt and a girl named Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt.
Vivienne is the French form of Vivian, which reflects her place of birth. Her middle name was chosen as a nod to her late grandmother, Marcheline Bertrand (Angelina’s mother who lost a battle with ovarian cancer). Knox was the middle name of Brad’s maternal grandfather (His mom was James Etta Hillhouse, her father was Hal Knox Hillhouse). Leon is the name of Angelina’s great-great grandfather.
To add fuel to the fire, Brad and Angelina’s attorneys at law firm, Lavely & Singer, snatched up all domain name combinations of the twins’ names mere hours ago. Here are all of the ones taken so far:

wow, things are starting to sound true. if so, a huge congrats to the JPs and welcome Knox and Vivienne. i wonder if they’ll call the girl “Viv” or “Vivi.” and how cute that all the boys first names end with the letter “x”.

I love the name Knox it’s unique and just very cool. I certainly hope it’s a baby boy, we need a boy to carry on Brads genes.

Negotiations may not have begun or are still being negotiated. It is not like any agreement if there is one had to occur before the births.
Angelina Jolie gives birth to twins: report

NICE, France (AFP) — Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has given birth to healthy twins, a girl and a boy, in the French Riviera maternity clinic she has checked into, the Nice-Matin newspaper reported Sunday quoting her gynaecologist.
The twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born shortly before 8:00 pm (1800 GMT) on Saturday, the paper said quoting gynaecologist Michel Sussmann.
Jolie is fine after having a Caesarian section, it added.
Knox Leon was reported to weigh 2.27 kilogrammes (five pounds) and Vivienne Marcheline 2.28 kilogrammes (5.02 pounds).
The babies’ first photograph was sold to a US paper for 11 million dollars (6.9 million euros), Nice-Matin said, adding that the money would be given to a humanitarian cause.
A source close to the clinic had said earlier the birth was expected in mid-August.
The twins brought 33-year-old Jolie’s brood with partner Brad Pitt to six.
Pitt was seen entering Nice’s Santa Maria clinic, part of the Lanval hospital on the seafront Promenade des Anglais, on July 2 with at least two of their children.
A spokesperson for Lanval could not immediately be reached Sunday morning to confirm the report.
Jolie and Pitt, 44, have been the subject of celebrity gossip fascination since they met on the set of their 2005 film “Mr and Mrs Smith.”
Dubbed “Brangelina,” they have adopted three children: Maddox, six, born in Cambodia; four-year-old Pax, born in Vietnam; and Zahara, three, born in Ethiopia.
They also had a biological child, Shiloh, born in Namibia, in May 2006.
The pair, who frequently top magazine lists of the world’s most beautiful people or couple, set up home in May in a chateau they rented from an American acquaintaince in France’s Provence region.
Pitt was previously married to “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston, while Jolie has been married twice before.

I am worried about the boy, what if it looks like james haven.

All the media is taking an step back an wait attitude. I think they are saying to themselves, let other’s knock themselves out for this story because eventually they will all report the news. If it’s true that Nice matin broke the news, then it’s not so much of a rush to get the breaking news out. The wires will have it all over the place.
5 pounds is very tiny — of course they will lose weight and drop into the 4 pound plus range before they start to gain weight. It will be sometime before they will be leaving that hospital. Angie must have been having some difficulty for them to deliver the babies more than a month early and at such as small weight. Hope everyone is well soon.

just a thought, but why on earth is that report i just read even mentioning is ex-name ? but not Angie’s exes name? i don’t want to hear about her at this joyous time, not to be mean, but this is their time, she has nothing any more to do with this man. is she going to get this privilege for the rest of her life? now try telling me she do not ride brads coat- tail, sorry just a mindless rant, any way congrats Angie and brad if it’s true. it’s about Jolie-Pitt, and family, now don’t jump all over me. it’s just my opinion, I’m entitled to it, really, i don’t care if you do. yay for the twins, god bless this union.

Five pounds apiece is a very good birth weight for twins.
5 pounds is a good weight for twins. We don’t know when the babies were due.

Dayum, she just delivered 10 lbs of babies! Can you imagine if she’d carried them till August 19? Those babies would have weighed about 8 lbs each! Yikes!
