Vivienne is a classic name for a beauty. It’s like Elizabeth.

Knox….. ????? I hope not. Maddox and Pax are great names for boys, but where could she possibly have gotten Knox from? Ford Knox or Knock Knock.

It’s good to be creative and unique, but this takes the cake. Selecting a great name is important. I see nothing possibly good about the name except that no one I’ve ever met has it. But if you’re going to do that, they could have easily named him Desk… with a middle name of Set.

The twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born shortly before 8:00 pm (1800 GMT) on Saturday, the paper said quoting gynaecologist Michel Sussmann.

Jolie is fine after having a Caesarian section, it added.

ROTFLMAO. Do yourself, and us, a favor - stop trying to think. Angie was 32 years old when she got pregnant. There was no need for fertility drugs because they didn’t even try for that long. Unless you’re a complete idiot…which is entirely possible…no sane person could think that any doctor would recommend fertility drugs to a 32 year-old woman who most likely went off birth control only 3 months prior to getting pregnant.

Angelina is one of the most famous women in the world. She will get the very best care in the world. The rest of us should be so lucky to get that kind of health care.

Yep, Le Monde is reporting it, but they also said no spokesman from the hospital has confirmed it yet.

Remember people weren’t too fond of Shiloh’s name when they first heard. There was much discussion concerning her name. Some thought she should have been given an African name because she was born in African. Some made fun of her name because they said it the second coming, and all other such nonsense.

People should be allowed to name their children what they want, withing reason of course. No curse words, etc If this a true in a week or more we will be saying Knox just like we are saying Shiloh. I am not to fond of Knox either, but it is not my child. Peace

First off, many women use fertility drugs in their 20s. Angie was severely underweight and undergoing a lot of stress after her mother died. There is no reason NOT to believe that she used fertility drugs to help get pregnant. Twin births are not as common in nature. It’s become common because of fertility drugs.

If Angie has a son, her baby making days are over.

A U.S. tabloid has prematurely announced that Angelina Jolie has given birth to her twins, however, the hospital has denied the reports.

In Touch magazine claims the actress had a cesarean birth on Saturday (July 12) at 6pm French time, with the first child being born at 6:45pm and the other at 7pm.

A rep for the Lenval Hospital in Nice, France, informed Usmagazine, “It’s not true. The story is not true.”

St. John Debuting Ads, Sans Jolie

APPAREL: Move reflects new era at women’s clothier; ads play up fall clothes, design changes

A group of glamorous but unknown models are the new faces of Irvine-based St. John Knits International Inc.

The models appear in ads set to debut soon from the upscale women’s knit clothing maker. The move marks a shift for St. John, which created a stir by featuring actress Angelina Jolie in its ads for the past three years.

The plan backfired when St. John customers—politicians, socialites and celebrities in their 40s, 50s and 60s—balked at tighter fits.

Since, St. John has worked to strike a delicate balance: woo back faithful wearers while still broadening its appeal to a new generation. This time, more slowly.

The company overhauled its executive and design teams, rehiring longtime executive Bruce Fetter as chief operating officer and bringing in designers.

Gray and her daughter, Kelly Gray—former creative director and company model—also came back as consultants after leaving a few years back.

McMahon recently told trade publication Women’s Wear Daily that Kelly Gray “was involved in all aspects” of the latest advertising campaign, which breaks in the August edition of Vanity Fair.

It was a “mutual decision to not put Kelly in front of the camera,” he said.

For decades, Kelly Gray was the face of St. John, typically posing in slinky dresses or fitted pant suits with groups of buffed out male models.

“We didn’t want to look like we were trying to recapture the Kelly Gray ads,” McMahon said.

The new ads, which promote St. John’s fall collection, play up the company’s design changes.

They were shot around New York, including Central Park and Times Square.

“Since the ads are in color, it will show some of our exciting colors and will feature product that can capture a very wide audience,” Marie Gray said.

Newer designs, which include knit suits, ruffled blouses, slinky dresses, coats and skirts, are in a range of colors, and patterns.

The looks got applause in January when the company showed its fall collection at a runway fashion show at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

“The loyalty of our customers never ceases to amaze me,” Marie Gray said.

The company is set to hold another fashion show on July 22 to give customers a peak at its spring 2009 clothes.

McMahon has said he’s targeting $400 million in 2009 sales for St. John, which is majority owned by New York’s Vestar Capital Partners Inc. The company has been trying to work itself back from 2005, when sales fell 5% to $379 million.

In the past year, the company added handbags and glasses and has been renovating existing stores and opening others. St. John has 28 stores in all.

The company faces a decision on what to do with its 169,555-square-foot Irvine factory at Jamboree Road and Michelson Drive. In late 2006, the company sold the building to Houston-based developer Hines Interests LP.

Hines has proposed building offices, which would require the demolition of the factory. Most of St. John’s 1,800 local workers are there.

St. John hasn’t said what it plans to do with the operation.

Higher profits on the company’s upscale products have allowed St. John to be one of the few apparel companies to actually make clothes here. But, like others, it faces higher labor, healthcare, gas and other costs. (Gee, higher profits…AFTER ANGIE MODELED FOR THEM FOR 3 YEARS. Yet they say customers balked at the “tighter fits”? Yeah, right. Profits say otherwise.)

For the past few years, St. John has found ways to streamline operations and cut costs, including closing a plant in Van Nuys in 2004 and another in San Ysidro earlier this year and moving some jobs to Irvine.

In past interviews the apparel maker said it was looking for a local area to relocate to.

Under China’s new regulations that went into effect last April, Brad and Angelina no longer qualify. Parents adopting from China cannot have more than five children in the home under the age of 18.

The question was moot anyway, though. With three caucasian children, two Asian and one African, I think they will adopt one more African child and call it quits at seven.

If the birth news is true this time, congratulations is in order for Angie & Brad. I hope everything is all right with Angie & the twins. Regarding the choice of names, i think they are NICE SOUNDING names plus the fact they are RARELY used. I like UNIQUE names & have POSITIVE EQUIVALENT MEANINGS. NOT CHEESY OR NOT “HOLLYWOODish” sound names. Angie is not known for giving names to her children that has no significant meaning/ relation to their lives. Thus, the names KNOX LEON & VIVIENNE MARCHELINE are just appropriate to them.
