Jon Voight: I’m Happy For Angelina Jolie’s Twins
Angelina Jolie’s actor father, Jon Voight, has been busy shooting the upcoming season of the hit FOX drama, 24.
But The Insider caught up with the 69-year-old actor on his film break to ask about his two new grandchildren, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.
Voight said, “I am deeply happy. I’m over the moon. It’s magnificent. In this world, all we can hope for is that mommy and the kids are healthy. I’m very excited and thanks for letting me send my love to them. If I were called today, I’d be there.”

With 15 million dollars from their pictures, these 2 small kids were born to help other unfortunate children around the world. Brad and Angelina really know how to share their joys to other people. They are admirable people.

Angelina Jolie’s father says he is “deeply happy” about the birth of her twins.
“I’m over the moon - it’s magnificent,” he tells The Insider. “In this world, all we can hope for is that mommy and the kids are healthy. I’m very excited. If I were called today, I’d be there.”
Jolie recently said that she and Voight have reconciled after years of estrangement.
“We’re in contact … and wish each other well,” she told the July issue of Vanity Fair. “I think it’s best that, if we try to have any relationship in the future, we do it quietly.”

Yeah, I read that on another blog last week. No reason was listed for her departure, but I assumed that they ran out of weed and X was dispatched to hook up with her dealer. Either that or she needed a touch-up on her Botox, Collagen and Juvederm. Or possibly because her tan was fading and she needed to get back to Cali before her tan wore off. She was gone a whole week you know…
Congratulations to Brad and Angie. This world finally has a mini-Brad for the next generation to drool over.
Daddy will get a call but the press wants to use him to know everything so they need to strike a balance.
I think I can see both sides. Without trying to project I would say when one leaves children in their developing stages it’s not like one should expect any kind of close relationship. If the person is lucky one might have a friendship. I think Angie has made it clear that at least this is a possibility.
As a bridge-burner and one who’s father is nice enough but not ever a part of my life I can safely say both of us deserve what we invest, namely very little. People judging Angie for her non-hateful stand should try, as the saying goes, walk a mile in her shoes.

She is all about her “family” (Brad, sons, daughters) but can’t even forgive her father and let him back in her life.

Angie said years ago that she’d forgiven her father. She just didn’t want or need his BS in her life. End of story. She said recently that she’s taking baby steps towards a FRIENDSHIP and has spoken with him. And frankly that’s all you need to know.
Bottom line - Angie’s relationship with her father, or lack thereof, is, was and always will be NONE OF YOUR FREAKING BUSINESS.
maybe she’s taking it slow because she doesn’t trust him. after all. he is always running his mouth in public.
Thanks Jared for yet another thread. :) Jon Voight gives me the willies. I don’t know why, he just does. I don’t trust him not to hurt Angelina and James down the road, but he does seem ecstatic about the babies’ birth. He just doesn’t need to be talking about it to the Insider, of all shows. The Insider and ET are televised rags. He should just keep quiet and not talk to the press, respect his daughter and the J-P family’s privacy. JMO BBL

Well it sort of is our business when it’s posted on a celeb gossip web site.
I hope that she will let him be a part of her children’s lives. I must say that when her children get older they might resent her for doing this. I’m not saying that this will happen but it could. So maybe they could work this out now before the kids are old enough to know what went on.
