Here are some more details about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s fraternal twins.
Angie, 33, gave birth to a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, by Cesarean section on Saturday night at the Santa Maria clinic of the Lenval Foundation in Nice, France. Knox weighed 5.03 lbs, and Vivienne 5 lbs.
Angie’s obstetrician Dr. Michael Sussmann told People, “The babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly. Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well. The mother and father are very, very happy.”

What a beautiful set of names for Brad and Angie’s three boys and three girls! As reported earlier, Brad and Angie’s attorneys already scooped up domain names for the twins.
And last we heard, the bidding for the Knox and Vivienne baby pics was at $15+ million.

Oh my goodness, where have I been!!! This is awesome news, and I am so overjoyed to hear that they had a baby boy in addition to another beautiful baby girl :)!! I was totally expecting them to have two girls, and I am just beaming like crazy to hear they now have 3 boys and 3 girls. Their names took me by surprise too. I wouldn’t have expected them to name them Knox and Vivienne but I love they the names are a combination of edgy and classical. Knox, Pax and Maddox- they’ve got to be future soccer players. And Vivienne, Shiloh and Zahara- I have no idea how to call the girls, but I think little Z will be the ringleader of them and probably the whole clan lol. Aww, to think that Angie has a baby girl named Vivienne- who would have thought. And to now know that Brad will have a little mini-me running around so soon- sho would have thought! Congrats Brad and Angie! And remember guys, they don’t like being called Brangelina. It’s going to take me a bit to remember not to do this, but we have to agree to a new family name for them besides the Brangie Bunch (that sounded so cool to me though darn it :). Guess it’ll have to be the Jolie-Pit brunch, Jolie-Pitt clan or Jolie-Pitt brood?? Or maybe the JP kids lol.

They’re here, officially: On Sunday, Mayor Christian Estrosi of Nice, France, presented one of the birth certificates of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s twins on the steps of Nice’s Fondation Lenval hospital, where son Knox Leon and daughter Vivienne Marcheline were born Saturday.
The typed certificate revealed that Knox was born at 6:27 p.m. on July 12. Sister Vivienne came within a minute of that time, Dr. Michel Sussmann tells PEOPLE.
The document also showed the Mayor’s signature, as well as Pitt’s initials, the letters WBP representing his full name, William Bradley Pitt.
The mayor entered the hospital at 3:24 p.m. to oversee the signing, telling PEOPLE, “It’s a pride to Nice and all its citizens.”
Knox is the 3,702 registered birth certificate in Nice for 2008.
In welcoming the twins, Estrosi told reporters, “On behalf of the inhabitants of Nice, I congratulate the happy parents, the most famous couple of the world who have chosen our city for this happy event.”
Earlier in the afternoon, a large bouquet of white roses and lilies for Jolie were delivered.
Estrosi added: “I also congratulate the four brothers and sister of the newborns who are [history won't forget it] real ‘Niçois’ (’citizens of Nice’).”

So, it is true that they are born. I tended to believe yesterdays report simply because of the name choices reported with it. They sounded very much like names the J-P’s would choose. Can’t wait to see pics of them.

I’m soo happy : ) A boy and a girl it’s perfect. The boy that everybody include Brad wanted : ) I think Knox and Vivienne will look like Shiloh. Shi is a perfect mix of both parents. If Gwen expect a girl, she will be for Knox : ) Shiloh is for Kingston.

Even more because when it was Shiloh,People had the exclusive of everything, the news of the birth, the name, the doctor, minister from namibia i don’t remember the name who give a lot of details about Shiloh’s passaport of namibia. I remember that almost 5 in 5 minutes people.com had news details about the birth. It was the crazyness. People.com had the most hits, 21 million hits.

Probably both mother and babies were in some kind of distress or heading there - so they delivered them earlier than planned. The planned delivery date is not the same as the “due” date. I am certain they were trying to hold out a little longer but couldn’t. Glad all is working out well.

I just saw the old interview of Dr. Sussman announcing Angelina’s admission to the hospital. I thought that he was her “American” doctor but he was giving his speech in French. Was he the one she brought from LA, or is Dr. Sussman at Lenval? Well, moot point anyway but again it proves all the rumor about American vs. French doctor thing was FALSE :)
