Here are some more details about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s fraternal twins.
Angie, 33, gave birth to a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, by Cesarean section on Saturday night at the Santa Maria clinic of the Lenval Foundation in Nice, France. Knox weighed 5.03 lbs, and Vivienne 5 lbs.
Angie’s obstetrician Dr. Michael Sussmann told People, “The babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly. Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well. The mother and father are very, very happy.”

What a beautiful set of names for Brad and Angie’s three boys and three girls! As reported earlier, Brad and Angie’s attorneys already scooped up domain names for the twins.
And last we heard, the bidding for the Knox and Vivienne baby pics was at $15+ million.

Just one question——————why the hell “Knox”??
I´m rather glad that they finally have a boy of their own- but why name him like that?
Leon on the other hand is a really cool name. Hope they stick to that one.(if this is true that is)

Reports were rife again that Angelina Jolie has finally delivered the twins, but according to French Daily Newspaper Nice-Matin, this time it’s actually true.
Probably the most famous twins in the world, before they were even born, have finally arrived at the Lenval Hospital where Angelina Jolie checked into early in July, the Nice-Matin newspaper reported Sunday quoting her gynecologist.
The babies, a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, weighted around five pounds each and were born via caesarian section little before 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Knox arrived first and Vivienne followed shortly.
Vivienne’s middle name was reportedly chosen to honor Angelina Jolie’s French-Canadian mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who lost a battle with ovarian cancer last year. Knox was the middle of name of Brad Pitt’s maternal grandfather. In the meantime, lawyers for Jolie and Pitt were quick to snap up the Internet domain names KnoxLeon.com and VivienneMarcheline.com.
The French report, which also claimed the twin’s first photograph was sold to a US paper for $11 million that will be given to a humanitarian cause, was confirmed by Michael Sussmann.
In a statement to People magazine, Sussmann said “The babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly. Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well.”
The new members of the Jolie-Pitt family are the fifth and sixth children joining the supercouple’s three adopted kids Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and biological daughter Shiloh, 2.
“The mother and father are very, very happy,” Sussmann added.
Jolie has spent the last two weeks at the French Riviera maternity clinic preparing for the birth. Pitt was spotted visiting Jolie after her hospitalization became public.
Last week, Sussmann held a press conference to announce reporters everything was going well and the babies were due “in the weeks to come.”
The doctor now told the Associated Press that the cesarean pushed forward “for medical reasons” so that the babies could be born “in the best conditions.” The actress is expected to remain hospitalized for several days.

The good thing that happened on the Jolie-PItt twins birth is that it was finally confirmed by the legit/reliable press namely the AP, the local Nice-Matin?paper and People magazine with actual quotes from Angie’s doctor so that their is no misunderstanding. In Touch got the date but incorrect time and sex, X17 online clueless and ET the laughing stock for jumping the gun a few weeks ago.

Jolie recently told Entertainment Weekly that she was surprised – but not daunted – when she learned she was having twins. “It did shock us, and we jumped to six [children] quickly,” she said. “But we like a challenge.”

Huh? That was Entertainment Tonight that got snowed, not Entertainment Weekly, which is a magazine. The EW had Angie on the cover with an interview for Wanted and that’s where the quote is from.
I hope Brad and Angelina sell the pictures for charity, no matter what people may say. The haters criticize everything Brad and Angelina do anyway. As for me, I won’t buy any magazine featuring the twins if the pictures are just given to the mag for free.

So finally it’s true. Did the labor work, started by itself or the hospital staff had enough of her? Honestly, I’m happy for them. Now let’s wait ’til we see those tiny baby faces to see who they are looking the most.
