OlderKatie Holmes To Guest Star On ‘Eli Stone’?
Katie Holmes makes a surprise visit to the Union Station set of the ABC comedy-drama Eli Stone in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old actress reportedly filmed a cameo for an upcoming episode for the show’s second season. Eli Stone is about a “thirty-something attorney, whose name is the title of the show, begins having larger-than-life visions that compel him to do out-of-the-ordinary things.” Jennifer Aniston was also rumored to have filmed a cameo for Eli Stone, but that rumor was debunked.
Also on set with Katie was her husband and fellow actor, Tom Cruise, and their daughter, Suri, 2. Katie was seen wearing black gloves the whole time and carrying around a Starbucks cup. Tom’s mother, Mary Lee Mapother, was also seen on set and pictured below.
UPDATE: ABC president Steve McPherson updated reporters today about Katie’s role in the second episode of the upcoming season of Eli Stone. He said, “It’s a great role for her. There’s actually some singing and dancing she does and she’s exquisite. We’re shooting it over the next few days. It’s a really special piece of business. For a show that we really creatively believed in, it helps us from a promotional standpoint.”

Contrast them with the bright-eyed engaged child in the Germany and France photos of last year. Early intervention is so important.

Residents in Nice protested this evening outside Lenval Hospital, speaking out against what they say is the mayor’s undue attention to a celebrity birth over the murder of a local youth which, they say, received little attention from officials in the southern French city.
The local family, originally from North Africa, told X17 video cameras they demand justice for their 22 year -old son who was stabbed. The crowd chanted “We want justice!” A protester added that city officials have not paid attention to the boy’s murder and that they have not been allowed to return his body home.
The man said Nice’s mayor, Christian Estrosi, has been “celebrating the birth of the twins with Brad Pitt, meanwhile there has been no murder investigation and the killer [of the 22 year-old boy] is still running free in the city.”
Protesters became enraged and some even tried to enter the hospital. Anti-riot police were brought in and Brad and Angie hired three extra bodyguards to secure the hospital.
Could this be a wake-up call for Brangelina? We respect the couple’s charity work on philanthropy but is the spectacle of their children’s birth and their $70 million-dollar French chateau overshadowing a country’s own, more important news? I wish the authorities would step in. We cannot allow cult people to make decisions concerning health matters when they don’t allow their kids to be treated by proper doctors and experts. Sick kids who are trapped within the cults cannot speak for themselves. It is so tragic to see a child suffering from some kind of mental illness and not being able to do anything.
I wish the proper authorities would investigate this matter. Both mother and child look ill and are in obvious need of medical attention.

All that I can say is this kid (whether ill or not) has a rough life ahead of her. She will learn the truth about her parents on the internet. She will learn that she came from a test tube and her father was a lunatic when he donated his sperm to be frozen.

Then she’ll remember that after she was born, all her mom wanted was to be in the spotlight. and handed her over to strangers in a cult to raise. I hate to say but Suri (if she is not already ill) will probably have addictions to alcohol and pharmaceuticals.

Have to agree with all the SANE people here. There has been a dramatic change in Suri AND kh.
A year ago she was bright, curious, smiling, laughing and running around that park in Germany. Over the past few months and especially the past few weeks, she is
vacant,
fists shoved in her mouth,
covering her poor ears at loud games/concerts,
STILL sucking on an infant bottle at 2 1/2,
not caring that theres hair in her eyes and she can’t see
etcetcetc. All you have to do is see the video of them at that parade. Katie looks at Suri the whole time like she’s going to break or something. She has an extremely worried look on her face while the media w*h*o*r*e carries his prop around oblivious.
Thank god grandma has come to the rescue and gotten them to cut the kids bangs

I would think that condolences, not congratulations, are in order.
Katie went from Batman to Mad Money (flop) to a tiny role in a bway play that probably will never open and now, worst of all, her smallest role ever, a cameo of probably 5 minutes or less on a TV show……(i’m trying hard not to laugh)

No one is doubting that Suri is a beautiful girl. However, that does not excuse what appear to be drastic changes over the last year. She has gone from a smiling, active toddler to a distant, expressionless little girl.
I am glad that more people are noticing the changes and hopefully Katie’s mother can convince her to have Suri looked at by an actual doctor since Tom will not as his “religion” does not allow it.

What really disgusts me is what a selfish little bi*ch Katie Holmes is! Her mom is in her sixties and she’s probably constantly upset over the welfare of Katie and Suri. Recently her mom has been in a lot of pics. Is her mom becoming so frightened about what has happened to them that she’s practically living in LA now. I think so!
This should be the time of her life. Instead she’s got an idiot for a daughter. Katie acts like she’s 13…hell, Suri is more mature.

I hate to say it but I really do agree with those who say there is likely something wrong with Suri. My sister’s two children are both autistic and Suri is definitely showing the signs of it. Autism isn’t a death sentence - my sister’s children are wonderful - but they need to get her assessed and get her help. It is common for children to regress around 18-24 months if they are autistic which does fit with the timeline seen with Suri. I really do hope they get the help for her that she deserves.

Yes, American, I believe Suri is autistic. I have an autistic child so I’m hardly “bashing” this couple. YES YOU CAN tell from pictures when there are this many. This is not an attack on her parents, it’s an alarm being sounded. Once you know the signs of autism, you can’t miss them. To the contrary, I have spent the last several weeks desperately looking for signs that Suri is NOT autistic, and there are fewer and fewer to be seen in video or in pictures. Wipe the sand out of your eyes and LOOK at that child. Look past her beauty and look at the haunted, blank, slack-jawed look, the way she is being led around as if she is taking her first steps (Remember how she was *running* in Germany last year?), the way she makes NO eye contact with anyone, and compare these pictures and others from the last 2-3 months with the bright, alert, happy child in pictures taken as recently as January. Suri is slipping away and her parents need to pull her back through the window NOW before it’s too late. I managed to get my (beautiful!) child back, and they can to IF THEY START INTERVENTION NOW.

mili - how it is a bad comment to say you are concerned about a child’s health? You are seriously deluded if you think that is offensive. There are people (myself included) who have direct experience with autistic children who are saying this child is showing many signs. That is not being mean to the child, that is being concerned.
I agree with Shawna as well. It is not “bashing” this child because some concerned people are commenting about Suri not looking like you would expect a 2 year old to look.
I have raised 2 children and they were very active and curious about everything.
I think that some people are truly concerned.
Also, I would never have allowed my children to walk barefoot on a public sidewalk!

2nd, many kids don’t talk or have emotion at that age. not every kid is “by the book” and learns to walk at so and so months, learns to talk at so and so, its called variation! everybody is different!
