OlderKatie Holmes To Guest Star On ‘Eli Stone’?
Katie Holmes makes a surprise visit to the Union Station set of the ABC comedy-drama Eli Stone in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old actress reportedly filmed a cameo for an upcoming episode for the show’s second season. Eli Stone is about a “thirty-something attorney, whose name is the title of the show, begins having larger-than-life visions that compel him to do out-of-the-ordinary things.” Jennifer Aniston was also rumored to have filmed a cameo for Eli Stone, but that rumor was debunked.
Also on set with Katie was her husband and fellow actor, Tom Cruise, and their daughter, Suri, 2. Katie was seen wearing black gloves the whole time and carrying around a Starbucks cup. Tom’s mother, Mary Lee Mapother, was also seen on set and pictured below.
UPDATE: ABC president Steve McPherson updated reporters today about Katie’s role in the second episode of the upcoming season of Eli Stone. He said, “It’s a great role for her. There’s actually some singing and dancing she does and she’s exquisite. We’re shooting it over the next few days. It’s a really special piece of business. For a show that we really creatively believed in, it helps us from a promotional standpoint.”

No one is doubting that Suri is a beautiful girl. However, that does not excuse what appear to be drastic changes over the last year. She has gone from a smiling, active toddler to a distant, expressionless little girl.
I am glad that more people are noticing the changes and hopefully Katie’s mother can convince her to have Suri looked at by an actual doctor since Tom will not as his “religion” does not allow it.

Month after month it just gets worse.
Speaking of Tom’s mom, we haven’t seen her pic in awhile. Hope they didn’t send her back to Gold Base for some more auditing. I wonder if she has to take orders from Tom too?
If they did send her back to the “camp”, that is just too mean. She’s in her 70’s. They need to leave her alone.

What really disgusts me is what a selfish little bi*ch Katie Holmes is! Her mom is in her sixties and she’s probably constantly upset over the welfare of Katie and Suri. Recently her mom has been in a lot of pics. Is her mom becoming so frightened about what has happened to them that she’s practically living in LA now. I think so!
This should be the time of her life. Instead she’s got an idiot for a daughter. Katie acts like she’s 13…hell, Suri is more mature.
My heart goes out to the Holmes family including sisters and brother. Katie needs to just put on her big girl pants and get the hell out of Hollywood. She’ll never have a career. When Tom dumps her, she’ll never be heard from again.
Katie just needs to learn that sometimes you need to move on. She needs to move on from Tom, take a settlement and move back to Ohio. She’s never been tough enough for New York or Hollywood.

This is just another display of Tom’s arrogance. The people that she is working with don’t want to see him yet he doesn’t consider anyone else. He thinks he is mr. hot shot and is better than all the non-cult people working on the show. He looks down on everybody that’s not a cult loon.
I wonder if Katie is allowed to be alone with her mom. Of course she is not, how stupid of me to ask such a dumb question.
I hate to say it but I really do agree with those who say there is likely something wrong with Suri. My sister’s two children are both autistic and Suri is definitely showing the signs of it. Autism isn’t a death sentence - my sister’s children are wonderful - but they need to get her assessed and get her help. It is common for children to regress around 18-24 months if they are autistic which does fit with the timeline seen with Suri. I really do hope they get the help for her that she deserves.

Yes, American, I believe Suri is autistic. I have an autistic child so I’m hardly “bashing” this couple. YES YOU CAN tell from pictures when there are this many. This is not an attack on her parents, it’s an alarm being sounded. Once you know the signs of autism, you can’t miss them. To the contrary, I have spent the last several weeks desperately looking for signs that Suri is NOT autistic, and there are fewer and fewer to be seen in video or in pictures. Wipe the sand out of your eyes and LOOK at that child. Look past her beauty and look at the haunted, blank, slack-jawed look, the way she is being led around as if she is taking her first steps (Remember how she was *running* in Germany last year?), the way she makes NO eye contact with anyone, and compare these pictures and others from the last 2-3 months with the bright, alert, happy child in pictures taken as recently as January. Suri is slipping away and her parents need to pull her back through the window NOW before it’s too late. I managed to get my (beautiful!) child back, and they can to IF THEY START INTERVENTION NOW.

etcetcetc. All you have to do is see the video of them at that parade. Katie looks at Suri the whole time like she’s going to break or something. She has an extremely worried look on her face while the media w*h*o*r*e carries his prop around oblivious.

mili - how it is a bad comment to say you are concerned about a child’s health? You are seriously deluded if you think that is offensive. There are people (myself included) who have direct experience with autistic children who are saying this child is showing many signs. That is not being mean to the child, that is being concerned.
I agree with Shawna as well. It is not “bashing” this child because some concerned people are commenting about Suri not looking like you would expect a 2 year old to look.
I have raised 2 children and they were very active and curious about everything.
I think that some people are truly concerned.
Also, I would never have allowed my children to walk barefoot on a public sidewalk!
