Oh puh-leeeeze… some Muslim kid gets shot dead in the street and they protest outside the hospital. Sounds like some local Muslims trying to stir up some anti-Jewish bullshít. They should take their protest to the police station, not the hospital.

What kind of a racist comment is THAT? Oh puleeez…
God forbid the family is disturbed by actual real news and problems, hu? Have some freaking perspective! I am sure Angie would be mad at you for that remark!
Tom is a dork @ 07/16/2008 at 11:32 pm can anyone ever in their wildest dreams imagine Tom Cruise In fight Club

Watch it, MR!
I hope we see the pics of the new babies soon or even just pics of the family visiting, or have they left the hospital already?
I think Brad’s family will all be visiting, just in time for Maddox bday first week of Aug. So they maybe like coming last week of July to their estate. I hope Jon voight gets invited, too. Poor old guy must be so desperate.
Hope the next thread takes awhile but only because I’d like an answer from those who are insulting Brad Pitt in “favor” of Leo DiCaprio.
Why are you all trying to pit (no pun intended) 2 great actors against other? Those who have mentioned the movie, “The Departed” have failed to mention WHO produced the movie & was instrumental in getting Leo the part because of the younger man’s talent…
BRAD PITT!
Throughout his ENTIRE 15+ year carrerr the studios have tended to let him decide things most other actors would have given body parts to do… By the time he starred in “Interview With The Vampire” directors watched in awe as he went through the script in between scenes “practicing” different things (action/dialog) re: next scene that WEREN’T scripted & let him use it. The scene with Antonio Banderras towards the end of the movie WASN’T SCRIPTED but AD-LIBBED, and kept in the movie.
In “Legends of the Fall” LOTS of the scenes Brad did on film were AD-LIBBED, and he was also responsible for Aidan Quinn getting the part of Albert.
Same with every movie he’s made since then. This information comes from directors, actors and those in Hollywood themselves when they are ever asked by interviewers, and caught on tape.
Those in the industry respect Brad & that includes the very ACTORS & directors whose names you all bring up here to rile others up. It doesn’t seem like you know much at all… Why don’t the nasty ones of you go volunteer at a shelter, hospital, etc.
Gotta go…
‘Bye
You shall not make wrongful use of the name of FC, for the Narrator will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.
Forgive the following errors due to migraine attack…
1) …2 great actors against EACH other…
2) carrerr - should read career
‘Bye again
Karissa @ 07/17/2008 at 5:47 am Oh, this is RICH. Those babes aren’t even a week old, and BP is signing up for a new movie. He’s not stupid, he just wants to get away from all those cryin’ kids, lol. Bet Angie is not too happy about this, ha ha. Let the fighting begin!

LMAO. Hmmmm, isn’t that what you said when Brad went to work filming Oceans 13 a little while after Shiloh’s birth in 2006? And look at Brad and Angie now, two years later, stronger than ever. :) That makeup sex after fighting over the working sure does wonders, huh? Pathetic and deluded haters as usual.

ITA. Sitting through Planet Terror was totally worth it because Deathproof kicked @$$. It was down to Rose McGowen; she didn’t own that tommy-gun leg - she owned the go-go dancing part, but not the kick-@$$, flame-throwing machine gun, killing muthafcukas part. And when it came down to it, that was the most important part.
As for Paul Walker… please.
It occurs to me that QT is after something more than Brad’s star power and acting ability. To me, QT always came across as trying to attain some cool based on who and how he casts movies. Pam Grier, Travolta, Keital. And look at Uma - yes, she did the Avengers, but seriously, did anyone suspect that she had The Bride in her? I sure as hell didn’t.
With Brad, he’s been working with some serious powerhouse directors: Malick, Fincher, the Coens, Inarritu, Dominik. Maybe QT is feeling the pressure from Grindhouse’s failure and thinks that, maybe, Brad’s presence could symbolize that QT is still a player.

Eco Friendly “Green” Homes In 9th Ward
Posted: July 16, 2008 04:49 PM EDT
Louisiana residents and tourists alike are learning how to live a greener life.
The Global Green House in New Orleans shows what is possible in Louisiana and throughout the country to protect all of our coastal cities threatened by global warming.
The eco-friendly house, won Global Green’s Sustainable Design for New Orleans Competition, a post Hurricane Katrina contest chaired by Brad Pitt.
New Orleans lower 9th ward is going green. Global green USA and the Home Depot have completed the first green home whose solar panels generate enough electricity to power the home, and it is “Leed Platinum Certified”.
It was built with all green products and energy efficient systems that will save residents money, reduce exposure to toxic chemicals, and lower climate pollution.
No shoes and no toxins, this global green home is 100 percent green. Even the wood is recycled from homes that were devastated in hurricane Katrina.”
The electricity used in the house is actually net zero, which means it uses less than it produces.
The house features a duel flush toilet which is a great way to save on energy and utility bills.”
the global green home is so high tech it has its own dashboard so you can monitor the water levels and get feedback on usage.
The homes are being built in the Holy Cross neighborhood near the Mississippi River on hi-ground.
The remainder of the project includes five single-family homes, and an 18 multi-unit apartment complex that will house residents from the 9th Ward, who lost their homes in Hurricane Katrina.
The house is open for tours from 11 a.m. To 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and from 10 a.m. To 1 p.m. Saturdays.

World food crisis drives up U.N. aid funding need
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The global food crisis is largely responsible for driving up the United Nations’ need for funding to confront disasters and emergencies around the world this year by one-fifth, the U.N. said on Wednesday.
World prices of basic foodstuffs such as wheat and rice have doubled over the last year, badly hitting poor nations that rely on food imports and sparking food riots in Africa and elsewhere.
A mid-year review meeting to assess U.N. aid funding needs for 2008 heard that the original appeal for $3.8 billion announced in December and quickly revised to $5.4 billion to accommodate extra crises now stood at $6.5 billion.
The cash is needed to meet appeals for food, shelter, clean water and other necessities in 10 countries, mainly in Africa, plus the west African region.
“One of the main reasons for the rises is because of the global food crisis,” U.N. humanitarian chief John Holmes told a news conference, although he said natural disasters and conflicts were also to blame.

Alone with Angelina jolie
Due to a recent and significant change in my work status (from “gainfully employed” to, “not”), I’ve found myself with a lot more free time during the day. By myself. While friends, girlfriend, parents, and other non-bartenders head off to the subway every morning, ready to make a dollar if not a difference, I’m left alone with idle hands and an anxious mind. Certainly, not working has it’s pro’s: catching up on Law & Order reruns, reading more books, getting eight hours of sleep, going to the gym regularly. I even got to play golf a few times with a buddy who is applying to Med School and was waiting for his MCAT scores. But there are cons as well, and I don’t necessarily recommend the unemployed life to all twentysomethings. While it’s interesting to see how many people seem to be out and about in the middle of the day, it’s still fantastically boring having nothing to do.
For most of my years I have counted seeing a movie alone among the most depressing things a person could do - an explicit sign that, at least socially, life had not worked out. It was a symptom of post-traumatic stress. Or, maybe you just got dumped by a long time girlfriend, and everything you do reminds you of her but you can’t break the routine of coupled life. You are so used to the way things were, so you still eat at your favorite restaurants and still go for jogs around the reservoir Sunday mornings, still see movies in the afternoon like you used to with her, only now you do everything without her and it magnifies how alone you are and always will be, yet you can’t help carrying on the only way you know how. That’s the psyche of the solo moviegoer, at least in my head.
In the end, I had few options. I decided on Wanted, which promised a few good action sequences, a glimpse of Angelina Jolie’s naked body, and bullets that moved like tennis balls hit with a lot of topspin. The movie was better than I expected; some really cool action and more in depth characters than you’d think. But, even if the movie had been a total dud, my solo trip would have been worth it, just to experience the movie-alone atmosphere.
I figured I would be pretty much alone in the theater, but for a 1:30pm showing on a Tuesday, there were many more people than I expected. I shouldn’t have been surprised; if not working has taught me anything, it’s that New York is full of people with time on their hands. Interestingly, though, everyone in the theater was a man. Now this might not be surprising for the particular movie I was seeing, but I mean that everyone in the whole building was a guy, except the apathetic register operators. Maybe the girls were working on their tans or something, but, in any case, the mid-week afternoon movie lifestyle seems better suited to men.
Overall, my adventure, like that of James McAvoy’s, was a success. I had tackled a tenet in the Loneliness Guidebook and re-emerged unscathed. A fun movie, some free A/C, and a full afternoon to do what I pleased. I think I’ll definitely be back. Alone.

Brangelina’s gift to Atlanta
Every year, hundreds of refugees like Masooda Omar flee to Atlanta. Now, thanks to Brad and Angie, the group that assists them will get some help.
My sister was beaten in the street for not covering all the way up,” says 30-year-old Masooda Omar. “I remember going out with shoes that showed the back of my feet. I felt someone slapping the back of my feet, and I turned around to see five men with guns shouting at me to cover up.”
Until five years ago, Masooda lived in Afghanistan, where she was terrorized by the Taliban and constantly in fear for her and her daughter’s lives. She was forced to leave her hometown of Kabul, and fled north to Mazar e Sharif to escape the violently fundamentalist Islamic group. But it wasn’t long before the Taliban traveled north to where Masooda had settled. That was when, tired of running, she decided to take a more drastic step.
Recently, celebrity couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt donated $1 million to various charities, including $200,000 to the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Although the donation primarily goes toward rebuilding schools in Iraq that have been destroyed during the war there, “Brangelina”’s contribution has brought attention to a program that probably would have otherwise gone unnoticed by Atlantans.
“I really appreciate [Angelina] because of her humanitarian work. She gets a great deal of my respect for what she is doing,” says Masooda.

Like Bagger Vance, Ali, Pursuit of Happyness, Trial of Chicago Seven?
Face it, Will Smith is just more likable and a bigger star. He’s the only star who consistently performs. Pitt is hit and miss at the box office and ageing quickly. Pitt’s reputation and tabloid attention far outweighs his box office success. He’s famous for who he sleeps with. Hooking up with Gwyneth, Jennifer and now Jolie has served him well.

Good Morning all. I do not want to press my luck with the all powerful awaiting moderation, so I will stop while I am ahead. While the media and the annoying lying Paps try to cause controversy over the birth of the Jolie-Pitts twins, the Jolie-Pitts continue to live their lives and be of service to others. The media is in the business of selling nonsense and putting people on pedestals to knock them off. BP and AJ march to the beat of their own drum. Hens and disgruntle PR agents are always on the lookup for any dirt to throw at them. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes. However, getting back up on your feet, helping others and keeping a positive outlook, are some of the keys to living a fulfilling life. Thanks for all the updates and peace to all. Spammers take a hike.

hmmm I wonder if these anti-Brad, disgruntle ex Papa Pitt fans,, angry members of the golden couple club, whiny X fans, would be hating on BP if he was still with their favorite ex sitcom star. Probably not. Oh fickle fans. Thank goodness there is more to life than Hollyweird. Okay, I am out. Peace to all.

As usual, thanks for getting my morning off right with the news bdj!! Luvz it! :-D Mornin’ anustin babe!
thanx miz bdj.good day lady.
I’ll ask once more:
Can someone tell me what’s up with Brad Pitt and Weinstein?
Thanks
To Rossy40:
Brad Pitt did not get the role in the Departed for Leo, Scorcese did. Marty and Leo collaborate on a lot together if you hadn’t noticed. A fantastic director like Scorcese has recognized a fantastic actor in Leo, that’s why he’s in all his movies.
Goodmorning Bampzsville :D
thanks bdj for the articles

What in the world is John Landis doing on the Venice Film Fest jury? I can’t say I’m happy about that. He deserves no honors in this industry - even one as minor as this.
