Because your post mentioned , “online diploma”, and “free time”, I just want to point out to you that you cant obtain a medical degree online, and tjat there is a lot of free time between operations and the doctors do spend their time at the doctor’s lounge where they use the internet, to play games, to blog , to check the stock market etc.

I love Meryl Streep, but I don’t care to know about her off screen life, or to look at her and her family’s pictures, like I do with the JPs. If a lot of people are like me, then there would be no demand for MS’ s pictures, therefore nobody will want to pay for the pictures, and no paps hounding her. Now, if she run naked on the street, then that’s a different story. Still, I wouldn’t want to watch those pics. Still no demand from me. ;)

As for her criticizing other celebs, I doubt it. She is too classy a lady to do that on national tv. And do you know that she is friends with Angelina, and she is into charity work too? So she wouldn’t criticize the JPs for selling their babies’ pictures for charity

I like Meryl Streep, too. I saw that particular “The View” episode. Meryl was not actually criticizing Angie. She’s merely speaking for herself, for her family as she was asked how she’s able to keep her children out from spotlight or publicity. She was just stating an opinion based on her personal experience. Only the trolls or haters, would like to find color in her statements because they want celebrities, esp. big named ones to go against the Jolie-Pitts. However, they forgot there are celebrities who’ve got class & ethics.

Meryl & Angie together with Lindsay Lohan were photographed in one charity event. I agree with you, Meryl is classy enough not to dish Angie. Besides, though they are both very good actresses, it is a fact that Angie is what the press is seeking & demanding.

my take onmyown, i admire ur intelligence and craftiness too to be quite honestly but yes it’s a bit insulting to call streep a hag afterall, she is a well respected caliber actress.

as for u miss jill, yes ur intelligent too but i wish u could use a more diplomatic approach to make ur point believable, rather u go on the prowl and howl back at her in ur usual jill style manner.. so if u think wht onmyown said is insulting , so are ur words backed at her. i think jill if ur approach is a little bit nicer, maybe ur points will be taken so well.

if “onmyown” is a surgeon I really am a killer bee. I’ve been reading his/her posts and “it” sounds like an uneducated twat. Why would a busy surgeon be spending his time obsessing about a celebrity couple and agonising over Jen Aniston’s every move. It’s not very believable. Furthermore, I don’t think a doctor of any kind would call a woman over 60 a hag. Not very compassionate/caring or doctor like.

Agism? AGISM? Ummm…didn’t you say you’re a doctor? Didn’t your mother ever teach you to respect your elders? Being 60 isn’t the end of the universe. Hard to imagine when you’re 27, but do try to remember that when you’ve reached 60 and 27 year-olds are sneering at you like you’re gum on the bottom of their shoes.

I work at a medical school and I have to put up with all kinds of high-minded arrogant and elitist bullshit from physicans and medical students…but your attitude really takes the cake. I sure hope to hell you don’t see any patients older than you are. Nobody wants the first words out of their doctor’s mouth to me, “So what are you in here for, you old hag?” Especially when said doctor is still in training pants.

Aren’t you the person who threw a hissy fit a few nights back when Cook asked you politely to leave your ER sob stories about child rape victims and dying patients off the blog? And now you’re calling one of the best actresses ever “a hag” simply because she disagrees with celebs selling pictures of their babies? Could you please tell us the name of the hosptial you work at…so we can all stay the fcuk out of it? I’m not 60 yet, not even close, but I plan to be one day and I sure as hell don’t want a doctor with your attitude toward the elderly.

I can’t believe how much people still don’t get this. If you’re a super huge celeb like Brad and Angelina who do you want to get the millions of dollars from the sale of your baby pics? A great charity or some skeezy paparazzi? Bottomline, SOMEONE will get paid. If they didn’t release the pics themselves the paps would just shop them around to highest bidder and profit themselves. By coordinating a photo shoot they not only devalue the pictures when paps inevitably do get pictures of them, but they also assure the money goes to a great cause. My HUGE fear is someone is gonna get killed trying to get those pics of Knox and Vivienne before People or OK does and THAT would be the real tragedy here.

What’s wrong with “on my own” saying ” old hag”?

My daughter is a new physician. She said she didnt want to go into geriatrics because she said, ” they smell”, and ” they cant stop talking, “. It’s not just my daughter saying that. I’ve heard of many med students saying the same thing.

PT, why whould anyone want to tell you what hospital she/he work at? Remember this is the internet.

You guys seem to think “on my own” should be compassionate. But she/he is a “surgeon”. I’ve yet to see a surgeon being compassionate.
