I’m not going to ask where and when it is being held as we don’t want unwanted people gate crashing. I can imagine all the yummies being prepared. i guess you’ll have games, competitions and prizes as well and are the staff allowed to bring families or is it strictly employees only? I used to be on the organising committee when I was working. We had trips, picnics, fund raising dances, and just company functions where the staff would perform dances and I was amongst them. Had great fun while it lasted.

It’s staff only Boji, prices are just too high to let employees bring their families.

And the caterer is a friend of the family who is also a teacher at a cooking school. I had to stop reading the menu because it was making me hungry even after I had already eaten.

I’m not dissing a 12 page letter but I did read on one website where they were talking about what makes a letter stand out, etc, and one of the things it said NOT to do was write something that was really long and rambling because the celebrity finds it too time consuming and those type letter tends to be too overwhelming. This was a few years ago but I would think it has the same relevence today.

When I was a soph in college I received a dozen long stem red roses and what seemed to be a sincere letter from a guy who lived in my hometown but someone I didn’t know as he was a few years older than me. He had seen a senior picture of me that a friend of mine had and for some reason thought I was something special. In a way, I was flattered that someone would think I was anything special and yet it made me extremely uncomfortable. I contemplated a reply to acknowledge the gift but considering I didn’t know him, he had gotten my address at school—I was in another state at the time—and what he wanted was for me to respond so he could feel a “connection” of some kind that was NOT there for me even though it was a very sweet gesture. I could not further some kind of feeling on my part due to the strangeness of the situation. So after much thought I did not respond. So, just because you may think your heart felt effort and the feeling you put into it should get a response just for that sake, you will probably be disappointed because they are coming from a different side of the coin.

I had almost forgotten that incident since it happened over 30 years ago. BTW, this guy lives in my hometown now since I moved back here several years later.
