Angelina Jolie Leaves Hospital With Twins
Angelina Jolie has left the French hospital where she gave birth to twins last week.
The Lenval hospital in the southern French city of Nice said in a statement on its website: “Angelina Jolie left the clinic Santa Maria of Foundation Lenval around 4AM on July 19 with her babies, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. The mother and her babies are doing very well.”
The Fondation Lenval also thanked the Jolie-Pitts for choosing the hospital. It also thanked the hospital staff “for the attention and care they paid to the family and the journalists around the hospital who did their best to respect their privacy.”
No word on where Brad, Angelina, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne are headed to next…

It’s a long way from the tony precinct of MoMA to New Orleans’s devastated Lower Ninth Ward, but the housing going up in the Holy Cross neighborhood there would not be out of place in the museum’s show. In August 2006, Berman and Kotchen’s architecture firm, Workshop/apd, won a competition sponsored by environmental activist group Global Green USA and actor Brad Pitt to design a zero-energy affordable-housing development in the most ravaged part of the city.
Workshop/apd’s “GREEN.O.LA,” which is currently under construction, will include five single-family houses and 18 apartments, powered by solar panels and equipped with rainwater-collection systems. The buildings are sited for maximum cross ventilation and rigged with louvers to minimize heat and capture breezes. Trellises will help keep the interiors cool.
Much of the project will be prefabricated off-site, with sustainable materials. But the feature that most animates the designers is Lucid Design Group’s Building Dashboard, a digital meter installed by the front door of the model home that uses sensors to provide a continuous digital readout of the energy being used. It can even translate the cost of that energy into real-world terms — to show how the number of kilowatt-hours of electricity used, for example, translates into gallons of gas or hair-dryer hours. “So you leave the AC cranked up while you’re gone, and it will show you that it cost you the equivalent of gas for two weeks,” Kotchen says.

Planet Beach holds events to benefit New Orleans project
Planet Beach in Meridian, Boise and Nampa will hold grand reopening and grand openings from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at its seven area tanning salons, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Make It Right, an organization founded by Brad Pitt to build 150 sustainable homes in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward.
The celebration includes a $1,000 raffle, music, food and drinks, various gift certificates and membership discounts.
Humphrey the Hawk will be giving away Boise Hawks tickets, and the Boise State cheerleaders will be washing cars.

Angelina Leaves Hospital with Newborn Twins

Angelina Jolie and her twins left the hospital early Saturday – a week since she gave birth to Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.
“Angelina Jolie left the Clinic Santa Maria of Fondation Lenval early in the morning of July 19th,” hospital rep Nadine Bauer confirmed to PEOPLE. “The mother and babies are doing very well.”
There were only a few journalists camped outside the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, early Saturday morning but even they didn’t know for sure when Jolie slipped out of the hospital with her twins at 4 a.m. local time. She is believed to have headed back to her rented chateau southeast of Nice.
Two cars left via the underground parking garage and were seen heading in the direction of the Chateau Miraval, the enormous and luxurious chateau in Correns, France, that Jolie and partner Brad Pitt rented in May.
“We saw the cars and we thought it was her but we didn’t see anything,” one observer says. “Typical Angelina. She gets away.”
Photographers had been stationed on nearby roofs of the hospital, hoping that Jolie would leave as she had arrived nearly three weeks ago – by helicopter.
Bauer added Saturday that hospital staff wanted to thank their own personnel for the attention and care they gave the Jolie-Pitt family. She also released a statement from the hospital, which thanked “those journalists around the hospital who did their best to respect their privacy.”

Jolie’s departure began at about 3:50 a.m. when, according to an eyewitness, a grey Volkswagen minibus with darkened windows arrived outside the hospital on its Promenade des Anglais.
“There was a sudden spray of light out of the hospital’s garage way and then four or five people came out of that through a rear doorway. They stood behind the hospital in a small courtyard in the dark.”
The courtyard entrance, a gated area for emergency access has been closed during Jolie’s stay, “was suddenly opened by someone who was waiting in the bus stop beside the hospital,” the witness says. “This group of people got into the van, very quickly. . . . It was all done in a hurry. And they were very quick organizing themselves inside. Very rapid. And then ‘Pouf!’ they were gone.
“With all the press attention around them, a constant watch on the front of the hospital, they managed to leave so quickly, my hat’s off to them,” the witness says.
At 9 a.m., Dr. Michel Sussmann, who delivered the twins by Cesarean section on July 12, confirmed the family’s departure, telling reporters, “You can go home. The story is over.”
Added Bauer: “We enjoyed having her and her family here very much.”

JJ’s IS a positive site - our quick break from reality’s hardships, and to look at our fairytale ending story that is Brad and Angie. They are a beautiful story that makes us smile and believe in hope - but then you see these flies and mosquitos that buzz around annoyingly - which you either ignore or swat off - and the JP fans have done both! So great to hear that the family is reunited in the privacy of their home. The “getaway” from the hospital sounds like it was planned with military precision!
Can you just imagine the excitment of the four older siblings seeing Mummy back home with their new sister and brother? They are all in for some happy, busy and chaotic times as they bond together.
Plenty of room for relatives to visit and help. And hopefully the playroom (with nannies) is far away from their room so they can get the occasional rest!
Wouldn’t it be hilarious if the 4.00am cars did NOT contain Angelina, Brad and the twins - after all, we are assuming that everything happened sequentially.
But imagine if they organised a decoy pick up at 4.00am.
Then Dr Sussman shows up for his morning ward round at 8.00 am and tells the paps that they can all go away, the show is over. Well, Sussman didn’t actually say that the Jolie Pitts were gone, just that the show was over and the paps could leave.
The paps leave.
Brad, Angelina and the twins leave quietly and discreetly after the paps have left at say 10.00am
Then when Nadine Bauer finally answers People’s phone call at say 2.00pm French time (roughly 8.00am NY time), she can say with perfect truth that the Jolie Pitts have left.
For some strange reason, this scenario tickles my fancy. :lol: :lol:

Ok needed to reply. The money goes to charity! When you give that much you can be a critic until then, see the good the money does for those who would do without basic things. Water, shelter, food need I go on? Oh, by the way sad as it is, we do spend that money on the mags. The twins addition for whatever mag will be a major seller. I don’t and won’t feel bad buying it! For the reasons stated above!

Nice to know they are now in the comfort of their home, together with the whole Jolie-Pitt family. As they say, “Home sweet home”. They are truly an inspiration to every family in the whole world. Of course, they are not perfect just like anyone of us but at least what we know & see about them is pretty good & brings joy to those who like them, and those who don’t, are secretly envious & are probably wishing to have even just a fraction of the family life the Jolie-Pitts have created. This family is really fascinating that even if we are curious of their every move, we also want them to enjoy their privacy. As long as the public will give them the space & private time they needed and the media not to be pervasive to the extent that they become destructive & not anymore healthy to the family, I think everything will be alright. The public, the press, the paparrazi and the Joli-Pitts can actually co-exist as long as everyone is sensitive and know their limitations. And everybody is happy.
