Rachel Bilson Is Learning To Sew

The 26-year-old former O.C. recently told Women’s Wear Daily that she’s putting her acting duties on hold to focus on her new fashion line, Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans.

“This line is my main focus right now,” Rachel said. “I can’t draw at all, so I won’t be doing any sketches, but I am learning to sew. I think it’s important to know more about the whole process of making clothes.”

Kevin Monogue, president of DKNY added, ‘Our customer has a real emotional connection with Rachel and she’s always on the best-dressed lists, so it seemed like such a win-win for us. Rachel has real personal style and she is very involved in every step. You can really see that in the collection.”

Monogue ended with: “It has the potential to go long term.”

I find it hilarious that she is wearing that Forever 21 dress, when they are being sued in European court by Mayle for directly ripping off the embroidery pattern and dress style (http://shop.mayleonline.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=266&category_id=62). None of these so-called celebrity-turned-designers have an ounce of originality, stealing other people’s ideas and selling them based on name recognition only, not real talent.

she’s not wearing Forever 21, she’s wearing the Jane Mayle “Florinda jersey dress”. You can see the obvious difference in the fabric between the F21 and the Mayle one

She’s wearing the forever 21 version. It has buttons on the sleeves and is a darker gray than the mayle version. Do your research properly!!

what is wrong with your eyes - the forever 21 dress is described as silk and has a shine - the Mayle is cotton and clearly has thicker and heavier feel - and thats what she’s wearing - and look carefully at the Mayle dress - it has buttons. Gaaah!

DKNY uses sweatshop labor to make clothing lines including Rachel’s…those clothes are being made by virtual slave labor. DKNY has been in trouble for this before with Donna Karan and are still doing it. Boycott this line!

putting her acting career on hold please she didnt have one expect for oc because her movie skills are awlful maybe she wiil be a better sewer than actress and for her first ad for her clothing line the dress she was wearing was the same one in ny i love you but with a different belt she isnt the only one with fashion sense.
