Rachel Bilson Is Learning To Sew
Rachel Bilson (in Jane Mayle) drops by the dry cleaners and runs some other errands in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon
The 26-year-old former O.C. recently told Women’s Wear Daily that she’s putting her acting duties on hold to focus on her new fashion line, Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans.
“This line is my main focus right now,” Rachel said. “I can’t draw at all, so I won’t be doing any sketches, but I am learning to sew. I think it’s important to know more about the whole process of making clothes.”
Kevin Monogue, president of DKNY added, ‘Our customer has a real emotional connection with Rachel and she’s always on the best-dressed lists, so it seemed like such a win-win for us. Rachel has real personal style and she is very involved in every step. You can really see that in the collection.”
Monogue ended with: “It has the potential to go long term.”

WHO F*CKING CARES!!!! It’s not important. As long as she’s wearing SOMETHING I’m good. Does anybody else give a flying f*ck in here? Hello? Anyone?
@ 25
Please stop with the baby bump comments. You can tell that she’s wearing layers. She has something on underneath that dress.
she’s pretty cute.
putting her acting career on hold please she didnt have one expect for oc because her movie skills are awlful maybe she wiil be a better sewer than actress and for her first ad for her clothing line the dress she was wearing was the same one in ny i love you but with a different belt she isnt the only one with fashion sense.
@ Rachel Bilson is learning to sew…
Oh please! She should learn how to hold and read a book IST!!!… Like kind of “Sense and Sensibilities - how about that huh?!
so cute
love her style :)
Thanks Jared
i like her very muchh
The “cute/love this or the cute/love that” have long been NAUSEATING!
Try to read up more to add on your vocabulary, all you kiddie tools!
Ellen’s Page practical approach to fashion (she doesn’t love dresses) makes her a bit of a maverick in glammed-up, fashionista-obsessed Hollywood. While she is willing to play the game — “I get that it’s part of my job,” she says — she does so in a way that keeps the attention squarely on her acting, not on what designer dress she is wearing on the red carpet. When asked about her attire, she says, “I’m a bum, really. This”— meaning, work— “is the only time I get dressed up.” - Hollywood should take a hint from Ellen Page:
TALENT IS A FAR BETTER ASSET THAN THE CLOTHES YOU WEAR AND THE MEDIA HYPE THAT YOU CREATE!
Her style is upper middle class mall rat, being sold at stores where upper middle class mall rats shop. Can’t design for any other kind of girl besides herself. Can’t imagine anyone with money shelling out rich dad and mom’s money for such boring stuff. Also DKNY is sweatshop employer, which means Rachel is making money off other people’s misery. How typical.
I wish I could puke inside her little brain…
I love Rachel Bilson. Thanks for posting Jared! :)
im suprised jj didnt make this out to be a rachel visis liquor store story.
dress is ugly on her. she is swimming in it. i too am petite but i wont wear stuff that makes me look ridiculous.
sense of style? wtf? she is undeserving and lucky to have these opportunities; there are thousands of designers and actors who are amazing but never discovered yet people like who…who suck at acting seem to get lucky….
She has a great sense of style..
Rachel I love you
