Tobey Maguire is a Crusader in the Courts
Tobey Maguire has landed the lead role in The Crusaders, a drama about the landmark 1954 Brown v. Board of Education case.
The former Spiderman would play Jack Greenberg, an idealistic lawyer fresh out of law school, reports Variety. Tobey’s character would be joined by NAACP Legal Defense Fund head and future Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall to win a Supreme Court case that ruled segregation in American schools illegal.
In Brown v. Board of Ed., the courts declared that “separate educational facilities are inherently unequal,” and that established separate public schools for black and white students denied black children equal educational opportunities. The landmark case paved the way for integration and the civil rights movement.
WHAT DO YOU THINK of Tobey Maguire as a Crusader?

tobey is an ass!!!!!!!!!! he was having dinner with his ugly wife at madeo like two weeks ago, this guy went ballistic with everybody outside the restaurant i have never seen someone with an attitude like his, in my opinion he can’t even act . now he will start kissing ass for his new role .let’s face it ass your lucky days with spiderman are over.
This will be a good subject to make a movie about. It is important history. But no one would want to see it if Spiderman wasn’t in it.
I think it’s great. He’s a good actor and that’s what counts. I don’t give a **** if he’s an idiot in real life.
#2, maybe he wouldn’t go ballistic if it weren’t for the hideous creatures that are the paparazzi.
Anyway, I was doing Brown v Topeka in history, this’ll be interesting!
Is this “young lawyer” real, or is this like “The Last King of Scotland”?
Topher Grace was supposed to play this role and Terrence Howard was supposed to play Marshall, and I have to say I’d rather Topher play the role.
Me too Ian.
me 3 ian! i hate this guy. he needs to take his skinny ass back to the hole he crawled outta. bring on topher!
