It’s no wonder that the The Jonas Brothers are the latest cover models for Rolling Stone, as photographed by Max Vadukul.
With a wildly popular tour and a new record expected to sell millions, Nick, 15, Joe, 18, and Kevin, 20, make up “The Clean Teen Machine”. Here’s an excerpt from the mag’s feature article on what differentiates each of the JoBros:
“Kevin, the oldest, is the extrovert, chatting up bus drivers and security guards, crouching on his knees to greet little kids at shows… Middle child Joe, who resembles a prettier version of the actor Peter Gallagher, is the quieter Jonas, with a wild alter ego revealed onstage, where he swivels his hips and twirls a mike stand like a lightsaber. ‘I’m really inspired by Mick Jagger and Freddie Mercury — the big frontmen,’ he says. ‘I heard Jagger does an hour on a treadmill before every show.’ … Nick, by contrast, is the Jonas Brothers‘ boss — the spokesman, the best musician, the chief songwriter. It might seem odd for Joe and Kevin to take their lead from their kid brother, but the Jonases don’t see it that way. “Nicholas has always been older than he was,” their father tells me. Despite his heartthrob status, Nick has more Eddie Vedder in him than he does Shaun Cassidy.”

i completely agree with cadence @ 2:24. i love the jonas brothers a LOT, but this cover is just weird.
it’s like joe is too hot/sexy (i know, crazy thing to say), and takes up too much of the spotlight.
i’m sad to say my first reaction to joe was “OMJ, he reminds me of fabio”.. and i LOVE joe, so that makes it sadder
kevin and nick look like they didn’t really get into this picture, and just happened to be there. kevin is like “whatever” and nick looks confused… and kevin pulling joe’s shirt while joe is pulling on nick’s tie is just a little too bizarre, though their clothes and style are pretty awesome
this picture just doesn’t show the jonas brothers as the fun, spunky, genuine boys that they are. i like their older pictures better, when they’re yelling with mouths are wide open and trying to throw each other and look like three guys having fun all the time…
from the video of the photoshoot, it seems like there were many other shots taken that could’ve been a better choice than this one. also, the one of them on the motorcyle is HOT, though i guess not really a cover shot kind of picture
and i agree that the haters should just not comment, because why anyone would waste a minute of time to read and then comment on something they dislike is beyond me
