Maggie Gyllenhaal (in Zac Posen) dons another neck-plunging gown to the premiere of the new Batman flick, The Dark Knight, at Coliseum Cinema on Wednesday in Barcelona, Spain.
The 30-year-old actress initially refused the part of Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight because she had no interest in playing a woman in peril. Maggie told A.V. Club, “The truth is, what I didn’t want to be was just the sort of empty lady who gets thrown around by different guys and doesn’t have anything to do but look scared. I just wanted her to be a real person.

Ok she is tooo revealing. First the backless dresses now this. Well I guess its kind of an improvement.
This is one of the prettiest I have seen her face look. I suppose the upsweep hair pulls her features upward in appearance. Her face usually looks so droopy to me.

14th!!!! Well, it is a little improvement over a little picture I saw of her a few days ago. She looked liked she needed an eye lift. Her dress is not that bad, but reminds me of a mermaid. I can’t believe she does not regret doing the Dark Knight, now that it is a Box Office Hit. Of course she would say that. Any actor would love to be in a smash hit in todays movie slump market. Get a grip Maggie!!

I think she looks LOVELY, and I’m loving her Dries Van Noten from last Monday NYC - MUCH better than that shapeless Stella McCartney rubbish (which she excels at), although I did think the back section waist-up was delish-sexy!
She looks like a bunny, and I saw a preview of the film today (in UK), and - as was everything else - she was brilliant, and a very satisfying replacement o Katie BORING Holmes. ;) :D :D

Love Maggie, she is so different from the other ladies in Hollywood. She may not be beautiful but she has a lot of character, something that I think is lacking these days. LOVE her!!!

Agree. I mean she is very good for a normal woman but for a film star she looks below average with older than her 30 years looks. But it is nice to see she can critically think about her role and articulate it well. Not many pretty faces have brains…

It’s her hairdo. I love it! it is really flattering. This is about the prettiest I’ve ever seen her. She looks amazing. Maggie is a very elegant, very pretty woman. She is tall and she loves fashion. I like her. She isn’t a cookie cutter kind of look. She is real and unique and I think she is very, very pretty.

She looks like any woman from my childs first grade class dressed up for a night out. There is nothing special about this woman. Just the mom next door who did her own hair and makeup. But, maybe this is what people find attractive about her.

I really hope you’re kidding. Katie Holmes is the ultimate wooden actress. She had one facial expression throughout the whole film and that was the constipated look. Maggie gave the role some depth.
She looks awesome in dark knight after seeing the movie i have totally fallen for her head over heels or heels over head whatever guys i would love to meet her, she has that sexual charisma, she might look old for her age but i think she rocks, would love to go out with her on blind date and romance her hmmmm wishful thinking

44- Maggie was miscast. far too ugly. She acted giggly and silly, like a fat girl flirting. People are quick to assume pretty means stupid and ugly means smart… that is not always the case.
