Jessica Simpson Has Macy’s Magic
Aspiring country singer Jessica Simpson leaves the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Manhattan and heads over to the Steiner Studios in Brooklyn on Thursday for an ad shoot with Macy’s department stores.
The 28-year-old actress will be joined by Martha Stewart, Kenneth Cole and Tommy Hilfiger on a full-scale replica of a Macy’s store.
Last year’s Macy’s celebs included: Sean Combs, Kimora Lee Simmons, Russell Simmons, Emergil Lagasse and Marc Ecko.

#12, you obviously don’t know anything about country fans. They are not gullible. They are accepting, but they can spot a fake from a mile away. Jessica does not sincerely love country and they can see that. She relies on being from Texas and wearing boots to make her seem country. Where your from does not take a large part in being a country singer. Look at Taylor Swift, she is from Pennsylvania and she is hugely popular. And anyone can wear boots because it looks cute. There is a huge difference between singing country and being a country singer. Jessica is simply just singing country.
The whole ‘feud’ with Carrie Underwood and the t-shirt that seemed to be aimed at her is also going to hurt her because people love Carrie and for her to disrespect Carrie, a fellow artist when she didn’t do anything to deserve it, was looked down upon. It doesn’t matter whether a country singer is singing pure, reba-esque country or pop country. If the singer loves country music and is loyal to the genre and respects it, then they are considered a country singer.

For starters there nothing happening with Carrie & Jessica. The only issues are the ones you make here on the board. Secondly Jessica will be on teh Grand Old Opry Sept 6 I believe. Not too bad hey?? There is room for all these women in country as all have very different styles & voices & yes Jessica can sing. Another thing Jessica & Tony will still be going strong for the CMA’s but who knows if Tony can make it with his football schedule.
