OlderRupert Grint: Cherry Bombs Away!
Harry Potter star Rupert Grint shows a new gritty side to his acting range in the new UK drama, Cherry Bomb.
The Sun reports the 19-year-old British actor is currently in Belfast still filming the rest of the film for BBC. Cherry Bomb follows teenagers Malachy (Grint), Luke (Robert Sheehan) and Michelle (Kimberley Nixon) as they embark on a wild weekend of drink, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars. But what starts out as a game turns deadly serious when the three discover that they can’t get off the wild ride they’ve set in motion.
Rupert will reprise his role as Ron Weasley in Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, due out in November.
Remember when costar Daniel Radcliffe went buck naked to show off his edgy side for his post-Harry Potter acting career?

When I saw this at first I honestly thought he was badly hurt because It looks so real. Really looking forward to “Cherrybomb” because It looks set to be a great film. Love love love Rupert….he’s soo hot, also kind and caring and down to earth! Prefer Rupert to Dan a million times over. He’s a better actor. He can do both comedy and serious acting which shows how diverse his talent Is. Dan seems be most comfortable with serious acting which Is fine but means he will find It harder than Rupert to get work after Harry Potter. Congratulations Rupert, you deserve all this success as you’re the most talented of the trio but unfortunately the one people are less interested In. That will change after Harry Potter, though…just wait and see.

30th!!!!!! WOW, Just goes to show you, what great make-up can do for a character. If you just saw ole Rupert like that, you would think, he was really hurt and cut up. He is so cute and boyish though. Sort of a John-boy Walton type. Never really ages, no matter how he wears his hair or clothes. I wish him luck on his movie.

I think Rupert is a better actor (just my opinion, don’t take it personally) but in Harry Potter it doesn’t really seem like it because all the lines go to Dan and Emma and the character of Ron is really dumbed down. Driving Lessons was alright but I think Cherry Bomb is where we’re going to see him really shine b/c I have a feeling that Malachy will kick butt. It’s going to be the first role where I think he’ll look really cool and manly and all that shizz. But who knows. We’ll just have to see next year.

Rupert is by far the best actor of the Trio (Rupert, Emma and Harry). Emma’s got considerable talent as well, and I just can see great future ahead for these two. As for Dan… He’s got a legion of fans, so he’ll be ok too, I guess.
Waiting forward to this movie. I rewatched Driving Lessons the other day and it’s so cool! Rupert is just brilliant there.
Rupert is too “unusual” looking to be a big star. He will always have “character” roles. Dan is better looking and perfect in every way except that he is too small. His smallness can be overcome in various ways, as T. Cruse’s has been, but being only 5′6″ or a bit more is not a big advantage for an actor. Dan by the way had his 19th birthday on the 23rd, and unlike last year when he held a big party in a bar and got tipsy and was photographed coming home with a burly helper to steady him. This year supposedly he and his parents simply went to lunch in an expensive London restaurant. If he got tipsy he did it at home where he would not be photographed.
I have so much love for Rupert.I cant wait to see Cherry Bomb.

JJ is behind the ball re Daniel Radcliffe. Dannyboy has been in the Lake District on vacation and was seen, so it is reported, eating tapas at a bistro in Ambleside. A new interview has reveealed that he suffers from (mild) dyspraxia, meaning he has difficulty at times to tie his shoe laces or to write so one can read what he has written. The most obvious symptom is one that he has mentioned before: he suffered from low esteem when in school because he wasn’t good at anything. That is why his mother put him up for the role of David Copperfield. He got it, did brilliantly, and the rest is history. I would say his modesty in public is still evidence of his not letting his stardom go to his head. He’s a kid who has turned his weakness into 40 million dollars or more. And when you see him in interviews he isn’t shy or diffident anymore. His latest pictures are of him naked on horseback by Annie Liebowitz who is photographer to the elite (including Queen Elizabeth).
