I can’t say I watched the whole movie, and all of her movie, but I can, in my opinion of course, say that she has not played one toting guns, jumping down from high rise building. I also have not seen Wanted (action isn’t my cup of tea) but my son did and he said Jolie is very good in it.

I just find people using the word ‘every’ so casually in their argument about their idols amusing. For example, fan would say ‘every one loves…’. I just have to laugh because that statement is so fundamentally flawed it makes a very poor argument, particularly in subjective matters.

Yes Voe. When she was young .. such action girl flicks were more done more by B grade starlet. Except for Thelma & Louise i haven’t seen a hardcore old girl action films. Now she is too old to do gun totting films but River wild is an action thriller suitable for her age and she was awesome.

Can someone pull a Oscar caliber performance from a caricature-ish character like the once she did in Devil wears Prada. That shows the competency of an actor.

Jill sweety, one doesn’t have to be on here 24/7 to see how much you are on this website. Everytime I log on and do a quick flip through their you are - loads of posts from Jill, Jill, Jill — It’s not necessary to read all the posts to know who lives on this site and who is an occasional poster. The nastiness of the most frequent posters is severe and therefore they are not worth reading.

I’m begining to think that Jen may have some serious problems - her dating buddies are kind of off the wall. This one is definitely not going to last but I have a feeling Jen is oblivious to this.

If my memory served me correctly, River Wild was Streep’s attempt to forage into action genre and by the critics of the days, she was not successful.

I don’t disagree with you that she is a great actress. But really, by pointing out and trying to prove that Streep is great actress in every genre while shooting down Jolie in an Aniston’s thread, what have you accomplished for Aniston whom you seem to like and/or whose acting you seem to think great? Has Aniston been successful in EVERY genre therefore is on par with Streep?
