Katie Holmes on Broadway — First Cast Photo!
Check out the first cast photo of Katie Holmes in her upcoming Broadway play, All My Sons, via ET.
Joining the 29-year-old actress in the Arthur Miller play are Dianne Wiest (not pictured), Patrick Wilson and John Lithgow.
The play depicts the tragedy of a man who knowingly sold defective plane parts to the government during World War II, and has to face the truth when his son wants to propose to his business partner’s daughter. Katie play Ann Deever, a woman who visits the family of her former lover, a missing pilot.
Previews begin on September 18, 2008 at NY’s Gerald Schoenfeld Theater, and the play will open on October 16 and run through January 11, 2009.

Sorry, but she is just plain HORRID looking now-a-days…. seriously all one has to do is loom up pics. of her when she first started dating super-controlling-dwarf-scietology-mad-minded Cruise to see her very troubling and dramatic disengration… and it’s not just her change in appearance it’s her whole persona, that youthful, vibrant, care-free “glow” that she once had is totally and completely gone… quite sad, really…

And you are absolutely right Tom Cruise’s stupid ad is EVERYWHERE. Banner ads, google ads, you tube ads - the cost must be phenomenal - that’s if anyone bothers to click on them.

Have you all seen the full version of Toms $cientology (made up) medal speech? I recommend everyone watch it. It is a true insight into how deep he is into the cult. And Katie is sitting there clapping in the front row.
It would be hilarious how serious he takes his cult membership EXCEPT he is introducing their belief system to everyone he meets. And the cult use him to gain influence with important decision makers.
$cientology is not some benign self help alien ‘religion’ - it is a highly funded cult with influence. It uses front groups and companies (and celebrities) to access government funding and support.
This cult has a track record of abuse and maliciousness.

You say there is already Tony buzz for Katie? Are you delusional or just reading Katie friendly blogs. The more respected NY publications are saying she is the reason the play isn’t selling well because she is overshadowing the folks that are the real actors and stage tested (Lithgow, Wilson, and Weist). The only time I’ve read the words Katie Holmes and Tony in the same sentence are when the publication is comparing her to Kidman and her Theater World Award for her broadway debut in The Blue Room.
I feel really sorry for Mz. Holmes. I think she is a passable actress, but not a good one. And the pressure to perform as a talented stage and screen actor must be huge. I don’t think she can live up to that. Unlike Kidman, who has true and genuine talent–although she uses it very erratically, Holmes is basically a small screen actress. She should stick with what she does best or else buy herself the best damn drama coach that scientology money can buy!

Ticket sells for Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons” Broadway show, that Katie Holmes has a staring roles, is not selling as anticipated “What a Big Surprise” It’s apparent Holmes marriage to Tom Cruise has not made her a big star the same way in which Nicole Kidman benefited from her marriage to Tom Cruise. But it’s pretty obvious to everyone the big difference between Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman is that Katie Holmes is just not a particularly good actress and no matter how much Tom Cruise wants her to be a big star, she doesn’t have much talent or even what’s called the “it” factor. I’m embarrassed for her ~

Broadway is not Hollywood. The Broadway audience is more critical.
Just having a big name doesn’t mean big ticket sales.
It’s one thing to waste money on a bad movie, another thing to waste money on a bad play. Right now, KH is only famous for having a master called TC. Her acting career took a nose dive.
And the real great actress here is Diane.

We know tc bought the play for kh, now I wonder if he paid Patrick to knock up kh or donate sperm for that purpose. In the sickening photo above, kh looks more “coupled” to Patrick than to tc. Iall just gross.
This is the CULT, not theatre. how are these outstanding performers participating in this fraud. Aren’t they a cut above Keaton & Latifah who degraded themselves in Mad Money?

My cousin’s wife says that Katie was basically hired to be Tom’s wife, and they don’t even sleep in the same room. They basically live on opposite sides of the house and carry on separate lives. It would make sense for Tom to have his whole family there, because he and Katie really aren’t one.
Katie Holmes didn’t get too big for Batman!!! She was easily the worst thing about Batman Begins and recasting her role was super smart! I mean, can the girl do anything other than Joey Potter?! I don’t think so!!!
