Jon Voight: Barack Obama Will Weaken America
Jon Voight has taken a very public stance for the Republican nominee for President, Sen. John McCain. The 69-year-old actor had some very strong words for Sen. Barack Obama and shared them with The Washington Times:
“Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.
“The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.
“And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend… If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.”

Then people ask why Angie wants nothing to do with this guy. I can’t blame her, attention seeker.
Thanks for those very true words - pity the majority of the voting public won’t listen. They’re the idiots.
Well, thankfully, no one actually cares what he has to say. I mean, wasn’t he the guy who left on his wife and two kids and paid no child support for a long time, and until recently didn’t even talk to his kids??
Hmm, I think he should take care of his own mess first!
if obama is our president im moving to canada
It will take more than obama to weaken this great country.

first of all obama is racist and called us all white devils and he isnt proud to be an american i cant believe ppl actually buy into his bullsh*t i dont like either mccain or obama but geez this man is ridiculous and ppl who vote for him are only looking to get all there crap paid for anyways and tahts why all celebrities back democrats because they want more of thier money. thank god i finally found someone else who realized what an *** barack HUSSEIN obama is
Obama is a joke… ANd for those of you that are voting for him
because he looks good,,,?? better do your research before you vote…
This country will be much worse with a MUSLIM at the head of state…
obviously everyone has forgotten about our history…
If Obama wins,,, all those dumb tweens and 20’s somethings will pay for it… HAHAHAH
Obama’s race has little to do with why people are distrustful of him. As much as Voight is a right wing nut, Obama is a liberal lunatic. McCain is more moderate than conservative, and that’s something the country needs now more than ever. Although I agree the presidential candidates pretty much suck, as they have been the last couple of elections.
John Voight is a racist *******, you can see that from the comments he has made about Angelina’s kids. Angelina has six children. He only recognizes three.
Secondly, John Voight is saying the Democrats controll the media! Lies or just plain stupid, John??? The media is controlled by large corporations who support Republicans and always have.
Follow the money. Find out who owns what, who sits on those boards, who runs the companies and which party they contirbute money to.
Third, a recent study just released says that while Barack Obama is getting more news media coverage then McCain, 72% of his coverage is negative. This is a University study not owned by any candidate.
Fourth, the people John Voight named as big influences on Obama didn’t even meet him until he was grown, married and a lawyer. They never influenced him at all. The man is 46 years old. These are people he just met in the past 16 years or less. So he was 30 by the time he met any of them, if not older.
The spot for presidency is not based on looks (COME ON PEOPLE) Thats gets me so irritated knowing that some people are this ignorant and are going to be voting based on this. I dont agree with Jon Voight. I think Obama is going to be a great change for America. I dont think to much of Mccain, although I do like how he talks alot about the enviroment. I hope Obama will talk more about enviromental issues soon. All I hear Mccain doing is blasting, Obama this Obama that. Obama seems more positive and is very motivational. I have faith in him. Plus, I dont think anybody could do a worse job than what has been done the past 8 years. However, I feel if Mccain becomes president, there will only be a very little change from what is going on now.
I 100% AGREE with #20!!!!!

love angie
Go see Planet of the Apes,, the original movie…
Thats where we are headed with Obama… HUSSEIN…..
Rachel @#27… The perfect man? Boy are you in for a shock. He’s a politician and is therefore automatically untrustworthy. It amazes me how Obama can attend a racist church for 20 years, claim he had no knowledge of the sermons (which was a lie), and the public STILL trusts him. If Obama were white, he would have been bounced from the election months ago for even thinking of attending a racist church.
As for Obama himself… I find a man who is all for ‘hope’ a farce when he supports late term abortions, including until the time the mother is in labor. Oh, and THEN if the baby survives, he doesn’t support medicare to keep the baby alive. But wow, he’s such a great speaker!!
His voting record in Illinois shows this, as well as a bunch of other absurd crap such as not charging gang members with murder if they kill as part of a gang initiation. Yeah… lots of ‘hope’ from this guy. Try communism at its finest. Jon Voight has more balls than the media and Hollywood for pointing out the farce named Obama.
wow reading all of this makes me realize what a bunch of dumb people we have in our world. all i have to say is if obama is president of this country take cover or leave. i cant believe ppl are voting for him because they think he looks better (which hes not attractive in the 1st place) hes a good talker but its all talk, if hes our president all you dumb*** democrats are gonna regret your stupid decision.
McCain is a liar. He is running two commercials that are out and out lies right now! He is dirty. He has a son working for the banking lobby, his campaign advisors say Americans are whiners about the economy, and support loopholes for oil and gas speculators, and he himself was part of the savings and loan scandal in the 80’s. He was in a prison camp for five years while other people were out here fighting a war. So he doesn’t know as much about war as he does about prison camp! And if you really watch him, ot has affected his mind. He has no plans to offer because he is being run by the Bush White House.
Planet of the Apes… go watch the original movie…
Obama is a liar and his middle name is not American…NO matter
how you look at it…
Also,, Who cares about EU and people from Sweden need to
not worry about what AMERICANS do…
I’m thinking this was not the way to get back into Angelina’s good graces and get some grand kid time. What a stupid statement he nade, “Sen. Obama will run this country in their mindset.”
Thank god , through out history that has not been true. Not everyone ended up thinking like Hitler, PolPot, Bush, etc.
Go away John.
ANON you are an idiot and STUPID>>>> AND racist…
prob,,, voting 4 Obama becuz he is your brother???
talk about prejudice and stupidity…. And I suggest you read
the truth on McCain,,, HE was a POW,,, (******)_ and waited until
everyone was freed before he was released….
Hmmmm, well I can’t say I really care too much what an actor thinks about politics….especially Jon Voight….
But I am voting McCain because I just flat out do not trust Barrack Obama, actually I don’t trust politicans in general, lol, but ….there is just something off about Obama. If Hillary Clinton would have won the democratic nomination I would have voted democrat but between a choice of McCain and Obama I will choose what I feel is the lesser of two evils.
Here’s how it works “jewels” If a country is against America and they hate our president, then they will oppose it when their government wants to send troops to help us, or when our government needs them to support stuff financially in these Middle East countries. If people in other countries love America and love our president and he is popular , they will approve their government cooperating with us. We are part of the world, not separate from it. We need help to fight terrorists. The Germans caught the people plotting against us from September 11th. That’s why it’s called the Hamburg Terrorist Cell. Right after the two towers at WTC were hit, we didn’t have enough planes to fly defensive patrols. FRENCH fighter jets helped us, by patrolling the skies over New York harbor immediately following the attacks. They were happy to do it. We threw away all that good will by going to war with Iraq for nothing. Osama bin Laden is still alive!
I think it is hilarious how people are arguing politics on a celebrity blog!!! :)

50 lola @ 07/28/2008 at 6:25 pm What a ****.
McCain suffering in Vietnam does not necessarily mean he would make a good president.
——-
Obama making great speeches does not necessarily mean he would make a good president either! Really, only at the end of a term can one say whether the WH occupant has been a good president.
Jon Voight is entitled to his opinion.
Uncalled for.
And Gorge Bush made our nation strong? I THINK NOT!
Racist. Sad, sad, sad.
