Jon Voight: Barack Obama Will Weaken America
Jon Voight has taken a very public stance for the Republican nominee for President, Sen. John McCain. The 69-year-old actor had some very strong words for Sen. Barack Obama and shared them with The Washington Times:
“Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.
“The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.
“And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend… If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.”

Why don’t you tell the truth for once in your miserable life and just say straight up that you hate Obama because he’s black?
BTW, he’s not a Muslim.
Jewels you are such a racist! I am very ashamed that you are an American.
obama is a disaster. He was present 123 days in the us senate, and that is the extent of his political experience. he says “Change” and people think hes a hero. There is nothing of real substance about him. This Obama mania would never be happen if he had a different color skin. and so much more.
americans are racist. not all of them, actually most of them arent, but the ones that arent would never admit it so they make up other bullshit reasons as to why they dont like obama. get over your ignorance.
alternate title for this blog entry:
Jon Voight: ignoramus
Is he on drugs or is this the man that says he loves his daughter? I can now see why AJ and her brother had some issues with their father.
The good news is that if Voight is busy blowing his wad over Obama then hopefully he won’t have time to give any more drama queen interviews about Angie.
Orchid,
Hey boo…nah, I disagree respectfully…you don’t need to wait til the end of a presidency to determine how well a president did or is doing…you’re not here and most people know differently…f uck Obama’s speeches and f uck the t-rex Mccain cause his speeches don’t amount to s hit…probably the world and most americans are tired of the same ole faces…it’s mighty arrogant to think we can s hit on the world and our own and know no one differently in many ways will ever get their chance to show something else cause WE got america like that…America needs a president too that can work toward doing the most good for the most people not just a commander-in-chief whose claim to fame is being an inactive prisoner during war…that was unfortunately…he isn’t owed anymore than any other military personnel or born american…that’s just the way his ball bounced at that time…where are the other pows wanting coronation?
granted, popular public figures (’celebrities’ if you will) often side for the democratic side of the ticket. but really? this guy and those speidi figures (what’s them face), are the ones they can come up with to balance out the republican side?
shame on the washington post for posting such ..i don’t even have a word for it.
comparing the democrats with the atrocities of pol pot’s killing fields in cambodia??!
like ali (#35) said.. with the current state of your country, it’s not like you are doing só well right now, while a republican is in office.
voight’s main argument seems to be not to vote for obama, because he had ‘angry teachers’ surrounding him. well, well.. that certainly has rubbed of on obama itself. he is just sprouts nothing but angy and militant thoughts left and right. right.
tho, must be said. mccain doesn’t seem that bad of a man for a republican. seems like a decent, nice, a bit sad (aw, he’s like the wallflower that no one asked to dance at a schoolparty) man.
but then again ányone would look half decent compared to eight years of..
thank goodness a third term is not possible. i beg, do the world a favour and use that grey mass for once this time and choose wisely. you are not the only ones baring the concequenses.
ps, it’s late. excuse the spelling.
First heidi and now him. ew.
Angelina is smart enough to know that the MSM is very corrupt in it’s presentation of BHO. Jon Voight is right on in his statements and the youth of America should listen to John McCain himself speak and not the filtered down version the media feeds you.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Clint Eastwood is one of our most famous Republicans. Did you talk politics with him on the set?
ANGELINA JOLIE: Actually, we don’t disagree as much as you’d think. I think people assume I’m a Democrat. But I’m registered independent and I’m still undecided. So I’m looking at McCain as well as Obama. Clint can teach me about things domestically and I’m more aware of some things internationally. So it was less a debate and more things we found interesting. But for the first few weeks I was just too nervous to get into any deep conversation!
I support John MC Cain . I am a moderate. I don’t like the puppets for the far right and far left. I am afraidthat inexperienced Obama hasa very liberal record . Why would that change now. Obama has had too many questionable associated with him on his rise to the top. That attached with his inexperience makes me not want to give him a chance. I would much rather give my chance to MC Cain who has stood up to radicals before and has crossed party lines to get things done. I sure don’t consider Cindy MC Cain a trophy wife. She has been involved in charities. They adopted a girl ifrom one of her humanitarian trips that had major medical issues. She is now a teenager. Mc Cain is not perfect like all humans, but I have more faith in his judgement than I do Obama’s. I don’t know Obama and he has too little experience for me to have faith in him. I don’t agree with him on the stance he has taken in certain areas. . I think his words are empty because I have seen little to belkieve that the change he promises has any substance to it. Also change can be bad. How do we know if his promises of change are going to be good or bad.
…sure, God Bless Angelina and her opinions but that’s her choice…being a fan of her films and her humanitarians efforts don’t nor won’t decide the choices I make politically.
@ jewels;
mccain isn’t an american name either, hun.
it’s scottish/irish.
i can’t believe people are actually that stupid to use someones name as an argument not to vote for them.
Now I can see why Angelina did what she did. This man is a total liar. Obama never had any thing to do w/ Farrakan.
Rev. Wright is an old black man and they nevr forget living under segregation. Now he did say some wrong things but Obama should not be blamed what a man older than him says.
Using his reasoning, the Reverend Hagle that is supporting McCain made some remarks against jewish people, does that mean McCain has been brainwashed to hate jews?
You can disagree w/ Obama based on what he says and his policies but based on what other people say then there are a lot of Republicans that McCain has had to distance himself from for what they have said in the last few months. McCain is old so what does that say about his judgment. Fox news has been anti-Obama from the beginning, even supporting Hillary more so why doesn’t he rail against the bias there? Because he would rather believe in his conspiracy lunacy.
In the 70’s, this man was a liberal loony toons. Now he has gone on to be a far right loony toons.
I don’t think McCain is a bad person but I cannot in good consciense vote for him knowing that he will continue the disasterous administration of GW Bush. It is sad to hear and see many people lose their homes , jobs etc…I did vote for Bush in the last election because I thought I was doing the right thing but the economy is not what it used to be during the Clinton era and the republicans think it is a ” state of mind”
As to John Voight’s comment, he has the right to his opinions , but he sounds stupid . No wonder his daughter chooses to distance herself.
based on what that nutcase bush has done there is no way in HELL i would ever vote a republican. ever
GOOD FOR JON!!!!
I think everyone who is voting for Obama needs get off their happy pills. Just you wait, if he gets into office..he won’t be the messiah Hollywood thinks he is!
…we don’t technically know change will be good…but we do know UNchange will certainly not be good…Unchange McCain…Obama probably can’t do any worst to america and the world than that everyone has endured lately.
WOW.. nO Wonder Angie is reluctant to have a relationship with this CREEP!!! Keep away from this FADING Media *****!!!
hahahahhahaha, he’s crazy.
I hate how McCain uses the military card. We get it, you fought in a war. That doesn’t mean you’ll make a good president. And from what I see, you only want to make it worse. McCain will be the one to DESTROY this country. If he is president I can honestly see another depression happening and this country will just fall apart at the seems.
OBAMA ‘08!
OBAMA WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Racist haters trying to mask their FEAR…
He is such an extremist the type that is mistrustful of other people because he projects his own deviousness onto them. He would definitely have been a McCarthy follower. How on earth did his poor wife cope being married to him when she was by all accounts a loving, trustful person wanting good things for all people?!? Maybe it was the proverbial opposites attract situation.
If, he were my father I’d be ashamed and very upset and I definitely wouldn’t want him around my children feeding his poisonous propoganda of mistrust and hate.
Angelina, now I understand.
#112 Tabitha I couldn’t agree more…Obama seems like a shot in the dark to me, he is by far the riskier choice. Its funny that all of a sudden everyone is saying that McCain is this bad guy when he has gone above and beyond to cross party lines, offending those he was close to when he had to work to make real changes, Obama just rides his unicorn, talking about change, change, change…please –we need substantive results, not hollow words. I always hated Hilary but she made him look like an idiot in the debates, he would never answer the questions, because he had no experience and therefore could not back up his words with facts/ experience But if you can pull the wool over a few eyes and its impossible to critically analyze someone at the risk of being labeled a racist, then there goes the country. Can it get worse than Bush? I didn’t think it was possible but it will, it sure will, Yeah Go Change!!
