OlderJon Voight: Barack Obama Will Weaken America
Jon Voight has taken a very public stance for the Republican nominee for President, Sen. John McCain. The 69-year-old actor had some very strong words for Sen. Barack Obama and shared them with The Washington Times:
“Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.
“The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.
“And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend… If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.”

Firstly, Angelina Jolie is in touch with her father and she will not turn her back to him, just because he doesn’t like Obama.
Secondly, we have NO IDEA whom Angelina will vote, if she does. She has not supported Obama either. It’s Brad and his close friends, not her.

Polls were also conducted as to name recognition. It pleases me to no end that the name “Angelina Jolie” is more recognizable than any of the 2 US presumptive nominees.

Orchid, I don’t care if his father is a Muslim or a Holy Roller, Obama is an adult and he can practice any religion he wants to. If he says he’s not a Muslim, he’s not a Muslim. If he belongs to a Christian denomination, then he is a Christian. End of story.

I don’t care what religion the candidate is. What’s important is what he will do for the country.
And even if he was a Muslim, you all should be adult enough to know that Muslim does not equal terrorist. That would be a stereotype.
For a country that claims to be based on religious and racial tolerance, not many people can put their money where their mouths are now when the time is here for them to do just that.
first, i applaud voight for voicing his opinion. in a country where “free speech” exists, we hear very little of it. you can degrade him in every way and he’ll still have a free mind.
and second, what so many americans dont understand is that your president is chosen for you. no, the election is not rigged, but your minds are. the government wants your trust back, or more precise, they need it in order to control you. and what better way to earn your trust back than placing mr. “warm and friendly” obama in the white house. “bad cop” bush will be replaced by “good cop” obama. the problem is, hes still a cop. hes a politician with private interests and lobbyist funding like the rest. albeit, obama does “refuse” lobbyist donations per se, but they are given by corporate executives, one of largest donations being from exelon, america’s largest provider of nuclear power. in return, he watered-down an antinuclear amendment he had sponsored to almost nothing, while telling mesmerized crowds he “passed” his antinuclear bill, which never passed in the US senate. hows that for savior behavior?
wake up people. you are being spoon-fed by the US government in every way possible. dont think that by watching one or two films by the fraud michael moore makes you “educated” or “informed.” but fox news wont tell you that. they wont tell you the truth about much. the media supplies the food to feed the masses.

The only still left in the world who thinks the U.S. is calling the shots are the average American themselves. Europe generally liked Clinton, laughed at Bush (why do you think were ot in Iraq? Because we knew it would be a shithole, the same reason were not going full out in Afghanistan.), still makes fun of Carter and Nixon and feels that Kennedy was all talk but no game (just like you Americans like your leaders, a big flashy over the top show but very little actual governing.). American media has been reporting that Europe was raging over Obama’s visit - European media couldnt be more opposite. Nobody really cared, all the media buzz was from American owned media. He made a single speech, to which a few thousand visitors showed up and applauded. And then you turn on CNN and you hear ‘two hounderd thousand of Obama supporters’… give me a break, the average joe who went out to grab a drink in the city center was suddenly counted as an Obama supporter.
You should have never picked McCain, Romney although not perfect was atleasta man with substance. You should have never picked Obama, but rather Clinton (she’s cold and objective, soemthing which some of you see as a negative, but me as a positive. She’s not supposed to be your best friend but your superior.) or even Edwards (though the latest press about him as been anything but encouraging.)

Brenda in the end Europeans, Canadians, etc… have no say in an AMERICAN election. Regardless of who will run our country in the future I think that it is fair to say that unless you allow yourself to mindlessly follow the crowd that no candidate can ‘brainwash’ the American public. To think so is laughable and more than a little idiotic. Even if the media does favor one candidate over the other the natural inclination for either Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative is pretty much set in each indivdual’s mind. Your perception of where the candidates fall on this invisible scale and where you fall on this scale will determine your vote.

hmmmm…mcCain or obama…..NEITHER!….candidate appeal to me. i don’t much about mccain accomplishment besides the military honorary thing. i just hope if he wins, he won’t be a bush copycat, i hope he had some sensitivities in the actual issues rather making his own theory on how things will work. as for obama he maybe hv little experience but seem like intelligent and passionate in his speech. though, i am not sure about his sincerity coz some passionate politician will do anything or say anything for their own gain same with mccain. while i don’t particularly favor these two, i tend to inclined w/ obama even though i hv a BIG QUESTION MARK for him, the kind of people he associated himself ,etc. i think he did an explaination to this about the church he’s been with for 20 some yrs , the pastor almost like a family,if they’re tht close how come ur not aware about ur pastor’s ideology?……i find it really hard to believe, it’s like ur bestfriend and u don’t know ur bestfriend??…something is not so right there. i would rather accept somebody who made mistakes and OWN IT.i also don’t fall for celebrities endorcing any candidate nor wearing the shirt screaming the name or face of a candidate…ie…halle berry, i use to like her a lot but when i wore an obama shirt , kind of turns me off. first, do celebs know about politics nor they really affected much when the president sucks?….no…it’s the common people!!!…celebs can afford all the luxuries and make themself look good. when everything goes down specially the economy, they don’t feel it hard becoz their living in luxurious houses with lots of people tending or cater to their needs. i would rather interested to see a celebrities , who’s getting down & dirty doing charity work, tht for me is very commendable. i am not talking just showing in a gala or event waering the most fashionable or gorgeous dress posing like a sexy VIXEN and FLASH tht cute FAKE smile w/ a SEXILY enticing perverted eyes.i am not really sure, if they were there for charity or just to show-off their hot bod?..it’s hard for me to empathize these kind of people.

Of Muslim, Intellectuals and Would-be President
It saddens me as an American that Mr Obama is distancing himself from his own heritage. His father is a Muslim, and her mother is white American. His overt action to distance himself from sitting besides Muslim women in a rally is a glimpse of the man who may very well be the President of the United States.
There is, arguably, reasons why Muslims are being persecuted. Our experiences are defined by 9-11. Right or wrong - it is a fact that we blanket them as terrorist. Of late, Mr. Obama’s associations with Reverend White, and race monger Louis Farrakhan, have unfortunately held as reasons why white Americans voiced their concerns with the presumptive Democratic nominee.
There are interest groups that will not vote for Mr. Obama because he is Black. Having a named Barrack Hussein Obama triggers Muslim Terrorist sympathisers. Fictions transform to Facts, and Facts to Fictions. These interest groups are just too busy being morons, if you ask me.
Regrettably, Obama’s well organized campaign will immediately deny another well rehearsed mantra: “he is not a Muslim”, ” he is a Christian”, and a good excused for erasing that Muslim heritage- “abandoned by his Muslim father”. Why the cold andsubtle indifference to his Muslim heritage ? Fatal mistake, again if you ask me.
But has anyone ever told you that FACT IS STUBORN” ? He is the product of a bi-racial union - White American and a MUSLIM father. His early upbringing is undoubtedly Muslim - and if anybody will ask me - that would be one reason why I may take a chance to cast my vote for him - all in the name of bringing the world together.
Obama is obviously a learned, and intellectual man. True to his heritage as a Muslim. It should please the Muslim Nation that more than 1/3 of the top intellectual and free thinkers are MUSLIMS. The top ranking #1 intellectual in this universe is a MUSLIM.
No. 1 on the list is Fethullah Gulen, a Muslim religious leader from Turkey. In fact, the top 10 of the leading 20 are all Muslim thinkers from countries with dominant Muslim populations. Albert Gore, an American was a consolation price for us, Americans.
On a personal experience, Gulen lives in my state - Pennsylvania, and had the honor of interviewing him on 2 separate occasions. He refused on 5 occasions to meet with me. I was persistence. While waiting for the umph time at the reception area, he finally gave up. His first words were ” why would a 20-year-old-waif be interested in my work’, and my retort was “why would an old buzzard from Turkey yearns for free speech and religion ?” He smiled. I was in. He has since called me “my pupil”, and I lovingly held him as “the professor”
So why suddenly, would Mr. Obama distance himself to this glorious heritage ? Muslim hatred has become political pawn, and is bartered for political expediency. I don’t know what resides in Mr. Obama’s heart. But his subtle but all telling demeanor, gives me a glimpse of the man who will be sitting in Oval Office.
I am sadden, and I bleed for my beloved Professor.
Ahhh, Angelina Jolie has been very outspoken in that she DOES NOT support Obama and very supportive of the surge in Iraq.
