There are certain advantages for setting up your own private foundation. A private foundation cannot be researched thru a website like CharityWorks to see how much money is actually spent on admin expenses versus how much money actually reaches it’s target. Various groups in need must fill out an application and submit it to the foundation before a committee, regardless of size, decides if the group will get assistance.

Donations to a private foundation are tax deductible. However, it is important to understand that monies are not necessarily going directly to charity immediately. The private foundation is only required to distribute 5% of its asset value per year to charity. Therefore, the IRS has establish limits on how much of your charitable deduction can be used in any particular year.

The charitable deduction limit is set at 30% of adjusted gross income (AGI) for cash donations to the private foundation.

I think it is admirable that this and many other foundations are formed but I would think it was probably on the advice of tax lawyers and accountants. Many high income/low profile people have done the same.

Hi there irma and Neleh, I’m waiting for my husband to come home within an hour from the hospital. I had to warm my daughter that he maybe black and blue on the nose. A neighbor in our building is bringing him home–he brought another neighbor home from the hospital who also had deviated septum operation, so we are calling him our “resident deviated septum picker-upper” lol! Really it is very kind of him, as the hospital told me not to bring our daughter to pick her daddy up. (too traumatic if he is groggy etc).

The story is that since they had in vitro, they went to the unnamed clinic, collected several different specimens and with Brad holding her hand, at their special moment, they threw it all together and rolled the dice to see what would happen to further their intentions of having a larger ‘international’ family. I posted this comment on Aniston thread, but they all have such low level of education and so they only know how to say evil things about Jolie Pitt family and Jolie Pitt fans, and, also, they all are here because … well everyone loves Angie ( even people who can not yet admit that) … so I’ll post it again:

It is so FUNNY how Aniston fans only know how to attack Jolie fans but when it is obvious how Aniston has low self esteem because she is with Mayer who obviously fantasize about Jolie:

Instead of thinking how to say evil things about Jolie and Brad who do not exist in Aniston life, you, Aniston fans, should think about her current boyfriend and about what is right now happening in her life!! But, my guess is that for you and the level of your educaton, it is always easy to blame Brad and people who dislike Aniston for everything!

And before you, again, attack me for this post, I’ll just say one thing: I actually don’t hate Aniston, I never wished death to her (again, unlike you who wished death to Jolie Pitt children), instead I wish all the best to her! I don’t have reason to hate her, I just don’t like her as an actress, but my guess is that now all you imature fans will only say that I am a hater or something like that, and yet again, you will not be concern that Aniston is with man who fantasize about Jolie, it is like you all actually wish that she will end up being hurt by that man so that, once again, you can all blame Brad for everything!
