OlderSelena Gomez: There’s No Miley Cyrus Feud!
Selena Gomez sat down with Extra! to talk about her reported feud with fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus. Here’s what the 16-year-old Wizards of Waverly Place star had to say:
On the untruth behind the reported rivalry between her and Miley Cyrus: “It’s just the media wanting something to talk about and wanting us to fight…and there’s nothing there to talk about.”
On how she deals with false media reports: “Everywhere you go you hear things that are untrue…You just got to learn that if I don’t say it, physically out of my mouth, on camera, it’s not true.”
On how she handles her rising fame: “It’s overwhelming and there’s a lot to think about…to know there are hundreds of kids out there that look up to me. I know that’s a big responsibility. I am also very confident to say that it is wonderful and I’ll do my best that I can do to be the best role model I can be.”
On crediting her mom for keeping her grounded in reality: “My mom’s there to say, ‘The moment I see you get big headed or changing, I will drag you right back home to Texas and we are moving away from here.’”
On what she has downloaded on her iPod: “On my Ipod right now is my best friend Demi [Lovato], Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Jonas Brothers. Then I actually got Miley’s new CD. I really like her CD.”

I Actually didn’t like her that much before..but now that she’s saying nice things about Miley. She’s not that bad. And that’s really cool that she got Miley’s new Cd. The Cd is amazing, glad to know she said it too. Like for real, that’s suprising!

So does that mean that since she hasn’t said she’s dating Nick on camera that she isn’t?? Hm. I never thought she was having a fued with Miley, but I think it’s OBVIOUS that Miley is jealous of her. Anyways, I’m a huge fan of Selena. She seems like a really awesome person.

Selena is so amazing, and I am amazed how mature & smart she is for her age! But with all her fame she’s still so pretty normal & just a down to earth girl. i love her style she’s just so Converse plus even with all this glamour she didn’t change her cute but casual style.

Selena Can’t even sing seriously her new single for that Cinderella movie is so fake & had so much work done to it.
& don’t tell me Miley can’t sing cause she sang Bottom of the Ocean live on TRL and it sounded just like the CD. go look it up.
Wow, I can really tell the average age here is probably 14. Anyway, I think that Miley is destined to be the next Lindsay Lohan, ie…drugs, drinking, rehab, sex….Selena seems pretty normal so far. Hope fame doesn’t go to her head.

God, I’m so sick of this chick and she hasn’t even been a “star” for all that long.
Disney seems to love having two of their stars in supposed “feuds.” Take Britney and Christina, for example. Everyone ragged on the fact that Christina was getting pretty DIRRRTY during her “Stripped” era but which girl actually turned out somewhat normal?
I think between Selena and Miley, Miley will come out on top.

I don’t think so. Miley has a unique voice and a very good performer, but she sucks at acting and as a role model..she seems loud, obnoxious and plays too much.
Selena is a very natural actress and a very good role model for kids, she also seems mature and level-headed. Don’t know about her singing though…but I feel like she has the most potential to get out of Disney and become a serious actress.
In the end, I’m not a fortune teller and I don’t know which one of these girls will make it out of Disney, cause you never, but only time will tell…
