I will assume you have been a long-time fan of McAvoy, because sadly, the mainstream society is unaware of Penelope and Starter for 10, and he just did “Wanted” which has just put him on the map as someone who can do action films, so does that really count? And were Penelope and Starter for 10 even a major release in the US across all the theatres? I think not and it didn’t even make $200,000. Also those films your naming, basically are unknown in the US unless you’re a fan perhaps.

By the way, Last King of Scotland and Wanted are both CURRENT releases that put him on the map, with MAJOR WELL-KNOWN, NUMBERS PULLING ACTORS, like Forest Whitaker, not McAvoy, and “Wanted” pulled numbers because of Angelina Jolie, not little boy McAvoy.

Sorry, he was virtually unknown, his basis was in the UK (I wonder if that’s where you reside) and “Atonement” was also a recent release, people like love stories and it was already an acclaimed novel, the same way you’re trying to assert people saw Wanted because it’s an acclaimed comic, so I guess that too places McAvoy out of major reasons for seeing it if that’s your reasoning for Angelina in “Wanted.”

Kiera Knightly is a major actress and people are also greatly interest in her, (HE DID NOT CARRY THAT MOVIE), due to “Bend It Like Beckham” and the Pirates of the Carribean series, MAINSTREAM SUCCESSES IN THE US.

Lets see——– There was the Lean back move she did on the train going through the tunnel and there was the driving scenes in the beginning which was about two mins long? Oh and the couple little scenes where she punch James in the face. Other than that what kick ass stunts did you see?

I have to go get dinner now, but in response to this, those “little scenes” were all used FOR THE PRIMARY PROMOTION AND ATTRACTION TO FILM. All scenes where McAvoy WAS BARELY PRESENT. And all the buzz for the movie and interest was placed around ANGELINA’S BATH SCENE, CAR CHASE, TRAINING (don’t just pick out one PIECE of the training that entailed half the friggin’ film) and SHE MADE THE ENDING, which was A SHOOT OUT.

Please, there are countless articles in the Times and other publications going into extensive detail about the gamut of Angelina’s action sequences, which was not “2 minutes,” but maybe you were so damn excited it flew by for you.

Actually I wanted a subscription, but since I’m subscribed to a few magazines already, I decided to just buy “Hello” when I like at least one article in it and if the recipes in the back are nice. An article about Posh Beckham turns me off.

All of you Jon Voight haters are going to have to eat sh*t when the relationship between Angie and her dad is back fully on track. It’s getting there and there is communication. As soon as I posted the moive about Jane Austen with Anne hathaway and of course Narnia popped into my head. DECENCY proved my point. With all the trolls coming out of the woodworks, if they had the chance to prove me wrong, they would have.

I like McAvoy well-enough, but I was pointing out how you are in the minority in your film diatribe just now, because those films are not mainstream releases in the US, nor was there much people (not critics, they know everything about films and actors) talking about “OH WOW, I LOVED NARNIA BECAUSE OF MCAVOY!” Sorry, they loved the book. I already gave reasonings for the other films irrelevance.

The critics, in relation to “Wanted” were not using any of his previous films as to backing why he would appeal in this one. They would have fallen on dead ears to the public, who barely knew his name till maybe the last 3 years, if not just this year. He was finally “buffed up” or once and Angelina was given countless relevance and praises.

Your examples are the examples of a seemingly long-time fan, naming obscure movies, or movies where he was in a supporting role of some sort or a character in an already appealing storyline. The mainstream US society would not be able to name 5 films off the top of their head.
