Brad Pitt is Lieut. Aldo Raine
Brad Pitt in one step closer to playing Lieut. Aldo Raine in Quentin Tarantino’s uberviolent WWII project Inglorious Bastards.
Reps for the 44-year-old actor confirmed to EW that Brad is currently in negotiations to star in the Universal Pictures flick. It’s also been said that Tarantino is NOT interested in Leonardo DiCaprio playing the role of Col. Hans Landa.
As reported a few weeks ago, Inglorious Bastards will shoot this fall in Germany and also in France, where Brad, partner Angelina Jolie, and their six kids have been residing.
In late August, Mr. Pitt and pal George Clooney are expected to open the 65th annual Venice Film Festival and promote their new flick, the Coen Brothers’ Burn After Reading.

I do not think Brad is typecast. What role do you think he plays over and over again? I also think if you look back, you will find most of his films in the last few years have been ensemble films. I have no problem with you not being a fan of his, but I do think you should be a bit more honest and objective.

I am really not interested in Leo. I don’t think he is a good actor. IMO, Brad Pitt is far better actor than Leo.
Whoa now….shall I link the last few JA threads filled with loons lambasting the poor woman for everything from the expression on her face to the choice of her clothes? Why don’t you refresh your memory and then criticize me for posting here. Come on…’loons are that simple are they?
I most definitely am not a JA fan…haven’t yet paid to see an Aniston movie. The type movies Jolie makes are more my cup of tea and I very much enjoyed Good Shepherd and Mr and Mrs. Smith. But I will admit to being a huge DiCaprio fan. He is outstanding and imho, Pitt wishes he had such a career as Leo.

Bailey - I think Brad Pitt HAS tried to diversify and take on different type roles. Unfortunately, he is just more successful in the ‘lighter’ stuff…and not so in the heavier stuff.

I actually agree with galloway. brad was decent in movies like Oceans 1 - 10 and the Mexicant. he’s just not believable in most Serious dramatic roles he starred in.
If he was so good in Jessie james then he would have at least a Golden Globe nomination.
galloway, you are not a JA’s fan, you are not Brad’s fan. Why do you sleep on JA’s thread defending her and you sleep on Brad and Angie’s thread trying to be negative. I will probably be blasted for saying this, but I think people should be able to post what they want here. As long as the comments are not vicious, crude, or directed at kids, who are we to censor comments or tell people who they can respond to? That should be up to Jared.
