Brad Pitt is Lieut. Aldo Raine
Brad Pitt in one step closer to playing Lieut. Aldo Raine in Quentin Tarantino’s uberviolent WWII project Inglorious Bastards.
Reps for the 44-year-old actor confirmed to EW that Brad is currently in negotiations to star in the Universal Pictures flick. It’s also been said that Tarantino is NOT interested in Leonardo DiCaprio playing the role of Col. Hans Landa.
As reported a few weeks ago, Inglorious Bastards will shoot this fall in Germany and also in France, where Brad, partner Angelina Jolie, and their six kids have been residing.
In late August, Mr. Pitt and pal George Clooney are expected to open the 65th annual Venice Film Festival and promote their new flick, the Coen Brothers’ Burn After Reading.

Every actor, no matter how good or bad, has certain strengths and weaknesses.
Brad will be great job in this movie as this role seems tailor made for him. Brad was good in True Romance which QT wrote. Brad is really working with great directors and great material these days.
Don’t pine too much for Angie if she has no movie in 2009 after having 3 this year, she herself has said she really wants to take some time off and be with her family for a while, and only will do AS if it all comes together. As long as Angie is happy that’s as it should be.

I thought Angie was so lovely in Bone Collector, and she and Denzel had unbelievable chemistry together.

I like that movie too. Angelina was so young then, but you can tell she is an intelligent woman. Denzel was pretty impressed with her. I think he said “Only the sky is the limit” when talking about her. And remember that Youtube clip he did, saying she is one of 3 actors he likes to watch when they do their scenes? The other 2 being Gene Hackman and Dakota Fanning. Can’t be more complimentary than that, especially coming from Denzel Washington.

Thanks for reposting. I’ve come to realize no matter how much people bad-mouth Brad & Angie, it doesn’t affect their reality. The people who have crossed paths with them know the truth and that’s what is most important.

I remembered PT said Brad made a lot money from MAMS. $20M + backend deal like percentage of box office.
