On graduating from the High School Musical franchise: “It’s sad. This is our last time doing a movie together, and we love each other so much. We really grew up together. We can be free when we’re around one another, and the amount of fun we have is ridiculous.”
On her personal love life with Zac Efron: “I keep my relationship quiet. I think that works.”
On her style matching the ease of her California upbringing: “I like putting things together that you would not expect. It’s always me.”
On proceeding with extreme caution in choosing her next project: “I don’t want to do something that messes me up mentally. I think people just don’t realize that sometimes actors can really take it in and become that person.”
On being extremely proud of her HSM character: “I love that Gabriella is Hispanic. It’s nice to be able to stand up for people who don’t have someone to look up to very often.”
The September 2008 issue of Teen Vogue is on sale nationwide Tuesday, August 5.

Millie - Yes those shows were nice, but it was a rush, rush thing where she was there for only a few short days with no time for rehearsals, therefore no singing was done. And if you’re implying she can’t sing, then you’re wrong because she has a great voice. Anyway, Hollywood Records still fell short on promoting before the album was released and even afterwards. Plus, they undershipped the album to stores where some people could not buy it even if they wanted it. Some people overseas still can’t buy it from the stores in their country because it never arrived. I’m leaving now for work.
She is totally talking about Heath Ledger with the whole becoming the person thing..

#75 The TRL and Regies and Kelly appearances were taped the same the same day, July 1st the DAY the CD was released. Plus she flew into New York from Utah the night before because she just wrapped “HSM3″ that day. Which meant no time to rehearse or prepare for a performance. Which I’m sure Jennifer Hudson had a chance to do before performing. I’m sure that’s why she didn’t perform.

Plus, after all the singing Vanessa had to do for the filming of HSM 3, I am sure she was advised NOT to sing until rehearsals for her tour in an effort to keep her from straining her voice.

and yes she is proud of playing Gabriella in HSM plus she is latin too. she does have some spanish/ hispanic in her,,,she has said it before. i love her, her grandmother is peruvian just like me. :)

First of all she is not a great actress. Secondly her album is not exactly burning up the charts. And thirdly not commenting on relationship questions when everyone has seen her pictures with Zac and her openly kissing him for the world to see makes no sense at all.
Really people make her so much more important then she is. All she really has going for her is that she is cute. She never sounds very bright and her hispanic comment was just ignorant.
