Vanessa Hudgens is the September 2008 cover girl for Teen Vogue. Here are some choice quotes from her interview:
On graduating from the High School Musical franchise: “It’s sad. This is our last time doing a movie together, and we love each other so much. We really grew up together. We can be free when we’re around one another, and the amount of fun we have is ridiculous.”
On her personal love life with Zac Efron: “I keep my relationship quiet. I think that works.”
On her style matching the ease of her California upbringing: “I like putting things together that you would not expect. It’s always me.”
On proceeding with extreme caution in choosing her next project: “I don’t want to do something that messes me up mentally. I think people just don’t realize that sometimes actors can really take it in and become that person.”
On being extremely proud of her HSM character: “I love that Gabriella is Hispanic. It’s nice to be able to stand up for people who don’t have someone to look up to very often.”
The September 2008 issue of Teen Vogue is on sale nationwide Tuesday, August 5.

Naomi, I couldn’t agree more and thank you for your compliments yourself included. Yes, I always find Vanessa’s thread interesting more so than others and on JJ especially. This is where I began my first posting of any kind and where I met people(decent human beings) of minds alike.
Yes, Ryan Seacrest did say his fav HSM star was Vanessa. Ahhh, he certainly knows how to pick em. It is surprising though with Perez, him being openly gay and of the minority. You’d think he would be more compassionate or is he just keeping up with this persona of being the most hated gossip columnist. It does bring to mind Hitler and the Nazis, how he was trying to create an Aryan, blonde, superior race when he himself was the opposite.

Why do people still insist on asking about her and zac’s relationship? Obviously they don’t talk about it in interviews and such, and it must be really annoying to constantly be asked. haha.

I love vanessa, but hate zac!!!! He has Jewish decent and ppl with Jewish decent and usally origanatied in Isreal!!!! Isreal is in the mid east (eastern Asia)!!! #!57 let’s all hope your not a hispanic role model–name me ONE hispanic role model in the 15-20 age bracket who has the exposure to be a role model on the level of Zac and Vanessa. That’s what she was talking about. All the ones you named are in their very late twenties and early thirties.
Oh and just a matter of history many hispanics including many Cubans and South Americans are directly decended from Spaniards (That happens to be the word for people from Spain you didn’t seem to know that either)

It would seem that #157 knows very little of anything. The person doesn’t have any idea of the correct name or race or, well you name it… And quite frankly, the only thing #157 wanted to do was stir up a hornet’s nest. The person saw how so many posters were outraged over haters who showed their racism and prejudice in their comments so #157 wanted to throw in—only to get something started and get attention—about Zac’s Jewish heritage. Yes, #157 is quite transparent and if everyone is wise they won’t give them any more attention because they are obviously ignorant.

I’m not sure if Vanessa will be able to go to the Teen Choice awards or not as she will be just starting her tour. The fact she is nominated for an award does not assure she will be there. Many celebrities who are nominated each year are not there at the show. Zac has confirmed that he will be there but Vanessa hasn’t.

Zaccarra, I have found here on JJ that the comments that people NEED to read appear to never be seen and the comments that need to be ignored are the ones everyone jump on. So many questions are asked over and over again and the answer has been given more than once but the people who need the answer never read, they just post a comment. Those people are usually the ones who are posting something ugly or untrue. Go figure.
