All grown up!
Actress Dakota Fanning arrives at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual summer luncheon held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Wednesday in Beverly Hills.
The Charlotte’s Web actress is now 14 and enterting 10th grade! Dakota broke through at the age of 7 with her performance in I Am Sam. She also had an impressive performance in War of the Worlds where director Steven Spielberg praised her ability to show “how she would really react in a real situation.”
Dakota recently recalled receiving the award for Best Young Actor/Actress from the Broadcast Film Critics Association and needed Orlando Bloom to lift her up to the mic! Ms. Fanning told Pop Tarts, “I met him again later on the set of War of the Worlds and we talked and had a laugh about it. It was funny, but I’m actually a bit embarrassed thinking about it now.”

Dakota skipped a year, which is why she’s only 14 and entering her sophomore year :)
I love her, she’s my favorite actress. She is really growing up. I wish more people looked up to her then that Miley brat.

And for all of you who think that Dakota is going to be in 9th grade are wrong, she jumped a year so she’ll be in 10th this year.

gosh dakota is such a good actress, and it’s so impressive how she really stays out of the hollywood scene, she does things for her movies and attends charity events and the rest of her life is completely out of the public. that really shows how serious she is about acting, its not about endless fame or paparazzi pictures, its about her craft.
kudos dakota, kudos.
