Brad & Angelina’s Twins Pictures Sell For $14 Million

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s newborn twins sold to People magazine for a whopping $14 million, a person involved in the negotiations confirmed to The Associated Press. (Earlier this week, JustJared.com exclusively reported the mag’s winning bid was between $10 to $15 million.)

Since the insider was not authorized to release the figure, he asked not to be named.

People magazine will feature twin babies Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon in an issue to hit newsstands Monday.

To see a sneak peek at the cover, visit People.com on Sunday night around 7PM EST.

“Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s newborn twins sold to People magazine for a whopping $14 million”

I didn’t know People magazine could buy babies :-)
*************************************
Wow, People Magazine bought the Jolie-Pitt twins. They are worth way more than $14 million….lol

Thanks Jared for the new thread.

Baby-Gate day five or one hundred and five? I lost track. Really people they’re not selling the babies. They get to KEEP the babies and the money goes to charity, that’s how it works. You’re entitled to your opinion but to whine about it and get nasty day after day is silly. The magazines publish pictures of their kids all the time WITHOUT their permission, but those who buy the magazines don’t seem to mind that; or if they do, they still rush out and buy the magazines. They don’t mind that the kids might have been scared. Yet they get all up in Brad and Angelina’s business about having a CONTROLLED photo shoot of the twins.

I don’t understand this preoccupation day after day with the money aspect. It offends your sensibilities? Why? They are JUST pictures. No one is being harmed. It’s not like the magazine isn’t going to get baby pictures at some point. Brad and Angelina are not PROFITING from it. Anyone of you would be lying to say if someone offered you 1 million dollars to put YOUR baby’s picture in People magazine you wouldn’t take it. I’d lay odds that YOU wouldn’t donate that money to charity. Maybe the fact that it’s 14 MILLION dollars that makes it so obscene to you. Well, people who buy the magazines only have themselves to blame for the Baby-Pic wars. Supply and Demand.

As for GIVING the pictures to a magazine , yes Brad and Angelina had that option. But who would THAT benefit? The babies? The Paps would get the pictures anyway. The thousands of people who their foundation MIGHT have help. They won’t thank anyone for some imagined moral high road. There is a greater good being served here. Can’t you just be happy about that?
.
As to that dumba-s-s comment that the twins aren’t legal. They are legal by law. Why? Because the constraints and disabilities with regard to being born illegitimate ( now referred to as out of wed lock under the U.S. Constitution) have been abolished in the U.S. and many other countries. In the U.S. They were considered a violations of the equal-protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Making children born out of wedlock illegitimate was mainly for the purpose of inheritance, where the perceived lawful children of a marriage would be the only ones to inherit. You’re in the 21st century now, get a clue.

Will be at Walmart Monday morning to get the magazine and at Barnes & Nobles to get Hello on Wednesday. Love “Hello”’s large glossy pics. I know “Hello” will sell out quickly due to our store usually do not order that many.

Glad for Angie and Brad. Watched the movie “God Grew Tired of Us” tonight. Can’t wait to see the precious babies!!!!

Oh my god, what a disgusting world we live in! why would anyone pay 14 million dollars for a photo of their kids? Who is Angie? And who is Brad? give me a break! I would not pay 100$ to see their children. This world is just sick and these two are the biggest hypocrites ever. If Angelina Slutolina Husband Stealer ever opens her mouth again about poverty I am going to spit on her filthy face.

14 million - way to go Brad and Angelina!

No other celebs can command that price for baby pics. So glad that the couple that can will channel the $ to help others in need.

Who would have thought that this love story would include twins, a boy and a girl? These two really “joined forces” - in every sense of the words:)

Jolie-Pitt Foundation

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have formed the Jolie/Pitt Foundation to aid humanitarian causes around the world. The newly formed charitable foundation is giving away $1 million to the Global Action for Children and $1 million to Doctors Without Borders, to help families affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty.

The U.S. director for Global Action for Children, Jennifer Delaney, said: “Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt not only care, but more important, are taking concrete action to address the fact that there will be 20 million children orphaned by AIDS by 2010, and millions more orphaned by tuberculosis, malaria and conflict or whose parents are sick and dying.”

The couple’s spokesman, Trevor Neilson, released a statement saying: “Angelina and Brad are committed to using their resources to help the world’s most vulnerable people. These two organizations are focusing on crises that receive far too little attention and Angelina and Brad are happy to do their part to help.”

Your BRAIN is UGLY. You are so green with envy you can’t stand people who are happy about the JPs.

Oh please! They are not committed to anything. They live in a 60 millon dollar castle, which is disgustingly outrageous, and are not even that talented! What has angie done that’s so great? She sucks as an actress. Not even the vainest celebrity lives in a 60 million dollar house. You are all a bunch of stupid sheep! Wake up morons and start scrutinizing the world around you.

You are the disgusting lowlife scum of the earth. What good have you done lately? Did you even donate to any local charity. At least the Jolie-Pitts are doing something to make this a better world. They have a foundation that help poor people and they are very much involved in rebuilding New Orleans. All you do is criticize Angelina and you don’t even know her. Who are you to judge her past at least she was able to turn her life around and become a much better person.

Wow come back later and hens still whining. Get over it hens/trolls. It is not your children or your charitable organization. BP and AJ are looking at the greater good. There is no reason to line Paps pockets when the money can help others in dire need. Trust me, People magazine and Hello Magazine will survive. BP and AJ are good people doing some good in the world. BP and AJ will survive(ignore) your screaming at the ocean, whining on a blogs and your fake moral outrage. Save it for the celebs that pocket the money, hoard their multi-millions and only do photo ops for charity(T-shirts, TV face time). Peace to all.

So, what happened to New Orleans? Did they settle down in the south of France because the south of France is in such dire need of new investment? lool What about the contract all journalists were forced to sign before interviewing the ex-dopefiend/husband-stealer? Do these two renege on everything they say AFTER getting all the attention and $$$? Like the oh so humble and poverty-stricken 60 millionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn dollar mansion loool *pukes*

Sara @ 08/01/2008 at 11:20 pm
You have been lurking/posting on this blog to know what is going on in New Orleans. I have posted daily updates. The MIR Project is on schedule to build homes in the New Orleans area. Please review past threads for updates.

Jolie-Pitt Foundation Donates $1 Million For Education
Posted Jun 26, 2008 by [Citizen Journalist] Bob Ewing in Education

The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict has announced that the Jolie-Pitt Foundation has made a $1 million contribution to support the education of 8,000 young people. The beneficiaries of the contribution are from both the United States and Iraq and have been impacted (pdf file) by the recent conflict.

The donation will support four organizations who work to help provide education and support to both children who have lost parents, homes, and schooling opportunities in Iraq as well as young people in the United States who are coping with the long deployment, injury, or even the death of a parent serving in the United States Armed Services.

Jolie has visited Iraq twice in the past year.

“These educational support programs for children of conflict are the best way to help them heal,” said Jolie.

“We hope to encourage others to give to these great organizations,” stated Brad Pitt.

Gene Sperling, co-chair of the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, added, “Education often falls through the cracks for children of conflict, but it is what can be most effective for providing hope about the future for children who have already been through tragedy or trauma.”

For Children in the United States, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation is contributing $500,000 to support:

The Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program helps thousands of military children who have been separated from a parent serving in Iraq - and many who have lost a parent - keep their balance in school with tutors, counseling, and support.

Admiral Frank Gallo, National Executive Director of the Armed Services YMCA,
stated, “The contribution from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation is a major boost to our efforts to serve the children of our brave members of the United States Armed Services who are engaged in our current conflict. These new funds will mean that 2500 children who were previously unable to attend Operation Hero can now take part and get the educational support and counseling that they need and deserve.”

New Operation Hero programs will be launched at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and Fort Sill in Oklahoma; a new Little Heroes program will be started at Camp Pendleton, California – the longest-serving Operation Hero program. The funding will also expand existing programs in four high-deployment areas: Fort Drum, New York; Fort Carson, Colorado; Fort Stewart, Georgia; and Twentynine Palms, California.

For Children of Iraq, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation is contributing a total of $500,000 to support:

· Women for Women International to sponsor 300 Iraqi women and up to 1,200 children. The program
will allow these women to provide their families with basic necessities, pay to send their children to
school, and purchase books and learning supplies.

· The International Rescue Committee to support their school rehabilitation and accelerated learning
programs in 3 schools in Najaf, Iraq benefiting over 2,500 students.

· NineMillion.org/UNHCR to make uniforms, school supplies, and learning materials available to over 2,000 Iraqi children

Camilla,

Why so angry? Did Jolie steal your husband? People magazine paid the millions for the pictures, not you if you don’t buy the magazine. Poverty will never be eradicated. Are you going to spit on Bill Gate when he talks about poverty too? Microsoft’s tactic to dominate the software industry is pretty ruthless. There are many, many people who are many times wealthier than Jolie PItt who are not donating much to poor people, many of these got rich through corruption, I sure hope you are going to seek them out and spit on them. Here’s a clue of where to find them: Russia, China, Africa, Vietnam, and even right here on the capital of the US. Most of them cheat on their wives too. Go find them quick and spit on them. Don’t waste your precious moral time on gossip blog.

Child please stop your infantile tantrums. Brad & Angelina have their fans like any other celebrity. In a world where there is Paris hilton , Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, the Jolie Pitt’s are quite refreshing. They are real movie stars with real lives and living on their own terms. Barack Obama said it best recently. He sums up most of what America is thinking. When McCain mentioned that Mr. Obama was a celebrity like those three no talent women mentioned, Obama’s response was “is that the best he can come up with?” McCain mentoned the bottom of the barrel of Hollywood and all of America agrees. The Jolie Pitt’s run rings around those three and we fans find them very interesting. Go find someone who is interesting.

Jolie-Pitt Foundation donates $1 million to UN and other groups working in Darfur

11 May 2007 – United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie and actor Brad Pitt have donated $1 million towards the humanitarian effort assisting millions of people affected by the crisis in Sudan’s Darfur region, the agency has announced.

“The donation from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation will go to three agencies playing key roles in Darfur and neighbouring Chad: the UN refugee agency; the International Rescue Committee and the international non-governmental organization, SOS Children’s Villages,” UNHCR said in a press release issued on Thursday.

All three agencies are active in providing life-saving humanitarian assistance to the more than 2 million people displaced within Darfur and the 240,000 refugees from Darfur living in camps in eastern Chad.

“This generous donation comes just months after Angelina Jolie made a personal visit to a refugee camp in Chad and it shows, once again, her and Brad Pitts’ commitment to helping refugees and the displaced,” said Michel Gabaudan, UNHCR’s regional representative for the United States and the Caribbean.

“As Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie’s continued support of UNHCR and those we seek to help is a powerful force in ensuring they are not forgotten.”

In New York, George Rupp, president of the International Rescue Committee, said, “This donation will make a real difference in the lives of thousands of vulnerable people. We are grateful to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for remembering them.”

Ms. Jolie has visited the region three times. During her recent visit to the Oure-Cassoni camp she said she was struck by the sense of hope she encountered and by the widespread desire for peace-keepers to be deployed in eastern Chad.

It was in Oure-Cassoni where the actress met staff working for SOS Children’s Villages, who are providing psychological assistance to traumatized children.

“The children benefit enormously from the therapy,” said Yolanda van den Broek, project leader of the Emergency Relief Programme of SOS Children’s Villages in Chad. “Children who at first did not speak, did not eat and who were isolated in their own worlds, are now playing happily and are able to interact with others.”

Jolie-Pitt Foundation @ 08/01/2008 at 11:32 pm

‘Twas a mighty benevolent year for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Tax records show that the beauteous couple donated more than $8.5 million to various charities in 2006 via their Jolie Pitt Foundation, according to documents obtained by E! News. (View the tax return.)

Although both A-listers are used to not being able to do much without constant media scrutiny, neither appears to be the one who stops the presses when a check is written to a deserving cause. But, of course, all that paper leaves a trail, as discovered by the Huffington Post, which first reported their grand philanthropic total.

The Jolie Pitt Foundation’s inaugural federal filing states that the relatively new organization doled out $8,525,930, in 2006, with Pitt accounting for $4,402,317 and Jolie chipping in the other $4,123,613.

They were able to put that amount together in part because of $2,367,935 in first-year donations. And staff expenses totaled only $27,000, a sum that would probably give most Wall Street CEOs a heart attack.

Organizations that most benefited from Jolie and Pitt’s massive coffers included Doctors Without Borders and the Global AIDS Alliance, which received $1 million apiece.

Other sums included $137,935 to the Namibia Red Cross Action Program, part of their continuing commitment to give back to the African nation where daughter Shiloh was born; $100,000 to the Daniel Pearl Foundation, founded in memory of the slain Wall Street Journal reporter whose widow, Marianne, Jolie portrayed in last year’s A Mighty Heart; $100,000 apiece to Global Green USA and the Epidermolysis Bulloma Medical Research Foundation (the same group Courteney Cox and David Arquette are currently rallying their friends around) ; $20,000 to a Los Angeles art park; and $5,000 each to two orphanages Jolie visited.

And here’s a preview of those 2007 returns: Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation, which benefits the rebuilding process in New Orleans, raised $5 million, and Not On Our Watch, the group he cofounded with George Clooney, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and producer Jerry Weintraub, has raised more than $9.3 million since it formed in May.

As for 2008… Pitt and Jolie are expecting their second biological child (or perhaps their second and third) together. The couple, who are reportedly villa-hunting in France, are also parents to Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 22 months.

Sara,

There are people who are less talented than the Jolie Pitt living in 100 million dollars home. Why do you get outrageous at people spending their earned money?
