OlderShia LaBeouf’s Broken Fingers — FIRST PICTURES!
Shia LaBeouf shows off the extensive injures to his left hand while taking a quick smoke break outside a hospital in Los Angeles on Thursday. He still has blood stains on his jeans!
This past Sunday, the 22-year-old actor was arrested for suspicion of a DUI misdemeanor after a collision that resulted in his truck flipping upside down.
Shia’s boss, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay opened up to Access Hollywood about the situation. Here’s what he had to say:
On Shia being sober during the time of the incident: “He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.
His passenger and Transformers co-star Isabel Lucas (not pictured) walked away with minor injuries, as did the passengers in the other car.
On writing in Shia’s injury into the movie: “I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital. His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”
On a conversation he had with Shia about safety days before the crash: “We had a little heart to heart the week before when he bought a brand new motorcycle and I [said] ‘Dude! You cannot ride that motorcycle! If you crash, you put 1,500 people out of work,’” the director recounted. “He said, ‘Ok, I won’t ride it, I won’t ride it, I’ll just drive my truck.’”
On Shia being a good kid after all: “The kid really has his head together and you know, he’s only 22. He’s doing a great job on this movie. He’s really matured since the last one and I love working with him.”

Wow, that looks painful. Glad to see he seems unhurt otherwise though. It could have been so much worse. Looks like they’re taking great care of him.

Poor guy. I am beginning to think his Bac is going to come back under the legal limit and that he took a public pounding for absolutely nothing.

Well he has been -charged- with a misdemeanor for a DUI by the law, so could people stop trying to pretend otherwise. Jesus. And alcohol stays in the system dummy. So what if he was drinking hours and hours beforehand? Some people are silly.
Anyway, let him get some help, he isn’t all bad.

From what I’m hearding…he doesn’t sound too too drunk when talking about his license plate and insurance when a witness heard this. A drunk person wouldn’t be thinking so much than he was.

This sounds like a lot of BS to me-mostly because in those pictures of his broken hand, his pinky appears to be the only one that isn’t injured AT ALL. Did anyone else notice that?

Yeah, I really hope the gets it together. I think he needs to find his center and possibly consider exploring options outside of the entertainment industry for a limited time and then come back to the entertainment industry. One such avenue is Rabbinical School. I think Shia would make an excellent and very cool Rabbi. This would help him to remain centered on himself and he could still be a part of the entertainment world also. He might even be able to do the Rabbinical Studies part time in between the work that he does for the entertainment industry.
