Zac & Vanessa Heat Up Elle Magazine

On-and-off-screen couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens heat up the pages of Elle magazine’s September 2008 issue with Jessica Simpson on the cover. On stands now!

Their BFF, Ashley Tisdale, is also featured in the photo spread. She explains why it took two entire films for singing jock Troy Bolton (Efron) and crooning mathlete Gabriella Montez (Hudgens) to finally lock lips on-screen. The Tizz shared, “The Disney Channel has done movies where the guy and girl kiss, but Kenny thought it would be really nice if you didn’t actually see that. It left fans saying, ‘Wait, we have to see them kiss!’ ”

I’m not a fan of any of them, but this is a nice spread… from these pics, i could see zac as edward cullen (even though i love robert pattinson).

i don’t know whether to feel bad for ashley for being the 3rd wheel, or be freaked out because she’s all hugged up w/ the couple…

Considering this shoot is about acting, I don’t think you can say they’re ‘flaunting’ their relationship. They probably would’ve done something regardless of whether they were in a relationship. This is about the three biggest characters in HSM.

Best Photoshoot ever! It’s like James Dean and Nathalie Wood reincarnate. So sexy and sultry, the 3 of them. Sooo much better than the Disney photos. Absolutely love the clothes and accessories. Vanessa really looks latino/hispanic here. Ashley kills it in the fence pic, looks really hot. And Zac, what can I say, broody James Dean. Elle Magazine, this issue will sell like hot cakes for sure. I have to get my hands on one whatever the cost for keepsake. You captured the essence of Zanessa.

Boji, couldn’t agree more. As much as I can’t wait to see HSM3, I am SO happy they’re moving beyond Disney. This photoshoot is brilliant. Shows a completely different side to them.
