OlderAngelina Jolie: No In Vitro Fertilization!
Angelina Jolie is shooting down reports that she and partner Brad Pitt conceived their twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline through in vitro fertilization.
“If they had been conceived by IVF, we would have been happy to discuss it,” Angie says in a new interview. “But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems.”
When asked about naming the twins, Brad said, “”The name Vivienne came to us early, as if she named herself–she has always been Viv. And Marcheline is to honor Angie’s mother. Knox came soon after. It is a family name, my grandfather’s. Léon is a classic French name.”

Julia Roberts has twins -history in her family. According to please’s comments that it seems that Brad has it in his family.

In any case, IVFor natural, the sperms still belong to Brad and the eggs belong to Angie. SO????
I could be true for this couple since twins run on Brad’s side, however J.LO definitely had it done as did Marcia and Julia. These other women have had well-documented fertility problems. Angelina did not seem to have a problem getting pregnant with Shiloh so I have doubt she would need treatments. I could still see them doing with though out of a desire to plan to family evenly.
Angelina has always been honest and open, that is why she is CREDIBLE and has INTEGRITY.

How typical of news services to cobble together two different answers without ellipses to delineate the two parts of the answer.
However…I like the cobbled together version better. It emphasizes how ridiculous the US story was.

Hi Medi, actually you can choose whether to insert 1, 2 or 3 fertilised eggs. I have a friend who was 34 years old when she had IVF and harvested 6 viable eggs. She was very clear that she didn’t want twins and as she was quite young (hubby had the fertility problems, not her) she had one egg inserted at a time. In her case, she hit jackpot immediately with one egg. She made the same request for her second child (who is actually the fraternal twin of the first baby as she used her frozen embryo).
A couple may ask for 2 embryos inserted to double her chances of pregnancy - but of course, it is possible for one embryo not to take and so you are left with a single pregnancy. Or, you could end up with a twin pregnancy.
they conceived Shiloh…..so how could they go through IVF? it doesn’t make sense if people believed US mag.
Besides, it’s more fun conceived naturally!!!

Hard to pick out a favorite, but I think the best one is Brad and the boys holding the twins.
Z is absolutely gorgeous. She’s got the most radiant smile I’ve ever seen.
The whole family looks so happy. Angelina is the picture of contentment. And Brad looks like the happiest Dad in the world.

Angie is never known as a liar. That’s why I believe her. What’s nice about her esp. regarding this IVF issue, is that she would gladly confirm if indeed they did it thru IVF because I think she believes there’s nothing wrong about it. She doesn’t sound defensive or anything. It is what it is, and that the truth is this— the twins were conceived NATURALLY as she & brad have no fertility problem.
I love that Brad’s sister was joking that it could be twins and they were so happy for them..Can someone post the jjb link to the Hello photos.
Brad having twins “run in his family” has ZERO bearing on joLIE having twins. Please jj’ers get thee to a school STAT.

The three former actresses/celebrities you mentioned are all about image the latter has always been candid about things in her life even things which all the other actresses’ agents would tell them to hide, bury and lie about because they are all about promoting a particular image (which usually is not remotely what they are really like) and staying in the game. So it’s quite possible one or more of the other celebs may have had this treatment. Ms Jolie has always had an ‘in your face that’s how it is’ honesty which is why she is criticized by dishonest people who can’t cope with her openess.
I wonder what lies the tabs are going to come up with this week.Z and Shi fighting over the twins. Since Shi was acting out last week because she is jealous of the twins . Oh When is Mad’s Bday?

I knew Angie would have mentioned it already if she had used IVF. She and Brad conceived twins the old-fashioned way - naturally. I don’t know if the tabs/media intentionally write falsehoods or if they are too lazy to really try to get to the truth.
But as a fan who watches Angie and Brad’s interviews whenever I can, I knew they had conceived the twins naturally. In late 2006 when asked if she was pregnant again at that time, Angie said no she is on the pill and they would adopt next. That is a very open and candid answer. A woman who would tell you she is on the pill would also tell you she used IVF.
But anyway, in 2007 they adopted Pax like Angie said. So common sense would tell you she must have still been on the pill in early 2007. Then after Pax she began filinimg Wanted. I don’t think a woman would try to get pregnant while filming an action movie. Then from that she filmed the Channgeling. Again I doubt a woman would try to get pregnant with another major film looming. I think Angie was on birth control pills through most of 2007. I don’t think a woman goes from birth control pills to IVF treatments in a matter of weks or a couple of months. It just doesn’t make commn sense.
I think she got off the pills as the filming came to an end in late October, early November. And like with Shiloh, she and Brad conceived almost immediately. Like she said in the Hello interview, they have no problems with fertility.
Does anybody know whether twins run in Angie’s family. Her father mentioned that he has a neice with twins. I think I read somewhere that Jon Voight had twin brothers. Is that true? And do twins run in either or both the Voight and Bertrand family?
Who’s business is it anyway how they conceived?

You can’t believe anything US mag says, it’s just as bad if not worse than Enquirer mag. But regardless it still wouldn’t be our business if they did, doesn’t make the babies less lovable. Angelina has nothing to hide and hasn’t denied even some of her most embarassing moments. Love the fact she is who she is take it or leave it attitude. I do applaud mothers out there who went that route to have a child it’s a personal choice.

Statistics says that they DID do IVF or some other reproductive assistance. The story explaining why they did (to expand their family fast) rings more true than the claim that they didn’t. Angelina is right- I don’t think she has any fertility problems; what they had was an impatience problem. Not that it matters how the kids were made, really.
