OlderAngelina Jolie: No In Vitro Fertilization!
Angelina Jolie is shooting down reports that she and partner Brad Pitt conceived their twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline through in vitro fertilization.
“If they had been conceived by IVF, we would have been happy to discuss it,” Angie says in a new interview. “But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems.”
When asked about naming the twins, Brad said, “”The name Vivienne came to us early, as if she named herself–she has always been Viv. And Marcheline is to honor Angie’s mother. Knox came soon after. It is a family name, my grandfather’s. Léon is a classic French name.”

Maybe newborns don’t smile around you becausre you’re just a sh#tty photographer. Or maybe they just don’t want to have their pictures taken and want Mom and Dad to take ‘em back home and let them sleep in peace. Or…maybe they just don’t feel like smiling. I highly doubt Vivienne is the first infant to smile before age 1 month. Like it’s a law or something…babies can’t smile on their own before day 31! Sheesh.

Any mom knows newborns “smile”. The real social “smile” doesn’t come until they are few months old. That’s when babies smile when you talk to them. Newborns don’t “smile” in reaction to someone or something they see. Most of the time, we see them “smile” when they are asleep, for no reason at all. That’s why people say newborns “smile” when they have gas. Only people who have never dealt with babies don’t know that.

I’ve certainly seen newborns smile like that for no external reason while they’re asleep. A lab tech down the hall from us brought her newborn in at about 2 1/2 weeks old. He slept the whole time she was here, but occasionally he kind of grin in his sleep…and make a spit bubble that popped and drooled onto his chin. First time he did it while I was holding him? Then it was time for me to give him back to his mother. That’s a little life rule for PT - I don’t clean up after other people’s kids.

New York, Aug 6 : Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is planning to build an AIDS clinic in Ethiopia for her daughter Zahara to manage when she grows up.
Jolie will make a trip to her adopted daughter’s native country to discuss building the clinic as part of the work of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, a charity she set up with her husband Brad Pitt in 2006 for humanitarian aid around the world, reports Contactmusic.com.
“We will be building a Tuberculosis/AIDS clinic in Ethiopia. The one we plan for Zahara to take over when she is older,” Jolie told Britain’s Hello magazine.
Jolie also hopes to take son Maddox to his native place Cambodia as part of a separate charity trip that the family is planning once newborn twins Knox and Vivienne Marcheline grow up a little.
“The next trip for our foundation will most likely be Asia to follow up on the situation in Burma and our work in Cambodia. The boys have been asking to go there, so we will take them when Knox and Vivienne are a bit older,” she added.

I’d be the first one to admit having fun in sweeping Trolls. I did that for a time. I grew up privilege. I volunteered @ DWB for a very selfish reason. Truth be told, I had aversions seeing dirty Afhgans. But witnessing 100,000 man, women and children marching like prisoners just took my breath away ! They are practically dying even before they reach our camp. Jolie is their voice !
So I have a glimpse why Jolie is an activist. She awaken my idealist and activist in me, that regretfully died after college. Jolie’s works are idealism and activism in practice. I need not defend her honor and dignity. Her work will speaks for her !

This region of France is unspoiled. Spectacular abbeys, cloister and cathedrals. ‘Abbaye de Flaran’ and Chateau Lavardens are an impressive castles from the 12th century. Miles and miles of sunflower and lavander fields. There are 15th century fortified villages that are so unbelievable and well-preserved structures as if you are living in the past. Bam and I biked Bam [actually a tricycle] to the public market. My skin has turned from pale to very deep tan. My hair and my lashes bleached from the sun. But it’s so much fun. The people are so nice and friendly. And yes, they have quaint bookstores near Abbaye just run out of Hello ! I didn’t see People mag here !
I still have 3 days left here. I met my younger brother in Nice. He is here for some business, but he is a Hedge Fund mgr from NYC.

Well, since People says they did not photoshop, I would say they took the photos for People’s cover first. Then Brad and Angelina went outside in the midday heat and had some creative sex in the dirt before coming back in to finish the shot for Hello’s cover.

Novak would play PFC Utivich, one of the soldiers in the director’s long-gestating film about a band of Jewish resisters in Vichy-era France. Brad Pitt is in talks to play the leader of the band of soldiers. Shooting is scheduled to start this fall and wrap in time for Cannes in May 2009. (Hollywood Reporter)
Separately, reports in a British tabloid that had Britney Spears lined up for a role as a lesbian killer in Tarantino’s upcoming remake of Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! are apparently false. There was a celebrity drama in both presidential campaigns this week, although the casts and outcomes couldn’t have been more different.
Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign announced that überstar George Clooney will host an exclusive — that means expensive — fundraiser for the Democratic candidate in, get this, Geneva, Switzerland, on Sept. 2.
For $1,000, guests will get to attend a reception and hear Clooney give a speech, presumably praising Obama (who will be otherwise engaged back in the States). Ten thousand dollars gets you dinner with Clooney at the grand manse of Charles Adams, an international American attorney who has represented such clients as Euro Disney. The event is expected to sell out, as are all the five-star suites in Geneva hotels that week.
The event is the first Clooney has held since Obama entered the presidential race. The actor has intentionally stayed off the campaign trail because he feared the senator’s Republican opponent would make an issue of Obama’s celebrity support. (Who would ever do that?)
In any event, the fundraiser will cap a busy summer for Clooney, who has been spending time recently with his good friend Rande Gerber and Gerber’s wife, Cindy Crawford,in St. Tropez.
Later this month, he will leave Lake Como for the Venice Film Festival, where his comedy — the Coen brothers’ movie “Burn After Reading,” also starring Brad Pitt — will premiere. While Clooney is there, he’ll hold a fundraiser for Darfur, his key cause.

All joking aside however, I agree, it is somewhat satisfying at times to knock down ignorance, prejudice and just plain rudeness, but, on a daily basis to take such opinions seriously can be soul wearing. I realize now that no matter what others say, good or bad, or however I may agree or disagree with someone, in the end the only opinions that matter are my own. To mangle a quote, ‘When the voice inside is louder than the voice outside, that is when you know you have true peace’. So I read all the negative posts here but they slide off my back like water on a duck. Because my truth speaks louder to me than any other opinion.
