So I’m not the only one having issues with B & N. They had the special People on Tuesday; I checked for Hello today and came up with zilch! And all of the JP People were gone. They restocked the shelves with the Caylee issue and the special People issue with Miley Cyrus on the cover.

And I tried for Hello at Schulers; they had the Kate Middleton issue. And when I inquired with the clerk, he stated, with pride, that he just stocked the Kate Middleton. I had to tell him that there is a new one with Brad and Angelina on the cover, which seemed to surprised him. He said he didn’t know that they place Americans on the cover. I didn’t want to be rude so I left. Schulers was also out of the JP issue; the Caylee issue was stocked in its place.

So I would advise anyone who is still waiting for your stores to stock the JP issue to buy it as soon as you see it. I thought that B & N clerk was bull$hitting, but she really wasn’t. And given how many regions have been d*cked around with regards to the availability of it, there may be an intense surge of sales for it.

Dilemma of dilemmas!

Apparently, ET will showcase ‘Burn after Reading’ all next week; behind the scenes, interviews, etc.

I confess… I have watched ET since their fcuk up and I have to say, I don’t know why. I half expect them to ‘fess up or apologize, but they won’t. It’s curious how Mary Hart is now readily available to introduce segments involving Brad and/or Angelina. The only real pleasure I get is seeing Mary Hart looking rather haggard in her recent interviews with celebs, specifically the one with Costner. Very deep lines under her eyes… kinda amusing.

ET will never replace E News in terms of trainwreck-scale ineptitude, but they are catching up.

I haven’t read the script but the synopsis read similar to the Dirty Dozen. I love old films and TMCis one of my favorite channels. Next to HGTV.

I’m surprised no one mentioned the George shirt that Shiloh was wearing. I thought it was pretty funny. Just thinking out loud

Brad Pitt cast in ‘********’

The actor has joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious ********,” signing on to play Lt. Aldo Raine, the head of the Jewish resistance in the auteur’s World War II film.

Pitt’s character is a Southern rebel who leads a band of eight American-Jewish soldiers as they exact vengeance on Nazis in German-occupied France.

Producer Lawrence Bender said that the alchemy of Pitt and Tarantino, who have never worked together as director and actor before, will yield unique results. “They’re going to push each other and really help make something special,” he said.

Pitt’s character is a voluble, freewheeling outlaw in the manner of Samuel L. Jackson’s Jules Winnfield in “Pulp Fiction,” prone to saying things like “we’re gonna be doing one thing, and one thing only, and that’s killing Nazis,” according to those familiar with the script.

The signing of Pitt, who first saw the script in early July, means that the production has locked down a key role as it moves forward on an accelerated schedule.

The Weinstein Co./Universal co-production starts shooting Oct. 13 in Germany, with the plan to make a Festival de Cannes 2009 debut. “It’s going to be a nine-month sprint marathon,” Bender said.

Pitt has a relatively clear schedule for the fall, though he is set to start shooting the boxing drama “The Fighter” for Paramount late this year or early next year.

Bender, in Berlin scouting locations, said that casting is under way for a German actor to play Hans Landa, the Nazi leader who the resistance is targeting. B.J. Novak and Eli Roth are in talks to play soldiers in Pitt’s rogue army, with the pair playing PFC Utivich and PFC Danowitz, respectively.

The Weinstein Co. and Universal are co-financing and co-presenting the film, with Bender producing and Erica Steinberg, Bob Weinstein and Harvey Weinstein producing.

Angie will be that week in NY and LA for the premiere of TC. All good, cuz after that she goes back to europe to be with Brad in germany and france while he films.
