OlderMadonna Is Because We Are
Madonna arrives and greets filmmaker Michael Moore at a screening of her new film, I Am Because We Are at the Traverse City Film Festival on Saturday in Traverse City, Michigan.
This movie documents the concern over the millions of orphans in the African country of Malawi who have lost parents and siblings to HIV and AIDS, many of whom live on the streets. The film also shows the efforts with Madonna’s charitable organisation Raising Malawi in helping with improving their lives and conditions.
I Am Because We Are is narrated and produced by Madonna.
“Ubuntu” is an idea present in African spirituality that says “I am because we are,” that we are all connected and we cannot be ourselves without community.

Some of you haters are just that, haters. When Madonna looks good, she’s had work done. When she doesn’t look good, she’s an old hag. I have seen Madonna with very little make-up up close and in person and she looks fabulous. She has flawless luminous skin and looks way younger than 50. She also doesn’t look nearly as muscular as she does in some photos. She is very petite, not really short but has a small built. Her daughter is very pretty, looks like Madonna but a prettier Latin version. I also saw Guy and he is yummy in person.
Yeah right, she’s the trash. You blame her for helping chlidren survive, and you, what about you.. have you done something to help them ? I guess not.

She looks natural and beautiful here. But in all the years that I have worshipped her (I stopped worshipping her the minute she hooked up with Britney Spears, even b4 all the scandal) I have never seen Madonna do as much charitable work, including adoption and a film on Africa and so forth. She use to be a leader… but all she really is is a follower. Celebrities do the darndest things. I remember watching her in an interview with Billy Bush on NBC and when he asked her what she thought of Angelina Jolie… she couldn’t remember the fact that she was part of the UN and talked as if she didn’t know much about her. Such krap. She’s simply copying AJ and dosn’t want to admit it. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Hey, more adoptions, more charitable work… the better.

Whenever I see people say that these stars have “minimum” or “no makeup” on and look “natural”… they still have makeup on. You think they have no flaws and want the world to see it, even when they’re out and about on a normal day? They’re wearing cover-up and light lip color. Same thing with Angelina Jolie. Her fans always say “she looks beautiful naturally all the time”… all the time? Never. They wear makeup, but in a way so that it looks ‘natural’. And these photos, even the papz photos, don’t always catch everything or they’re airbrushed. These papz photos are taken far away… not enough to catch the flaws. I’ve gotten away with going out and people saying I have naturally beautiful skin… little do they know that I’m wearing coverup. And if they know, they ignore it. But then again, my mom and I have been accused of wearing makeup when we weren’t simply because our faces seemed more glowy or lips looked more full & pink.
She looks a little bit like a witch. But, hey, maybe she’s trying to go for the hippie look. You would think by now, she’d cover-up the roots better ad not ignore it… it’s so unattractive. I’ve seen hardworking housewives running around all the time, look better than this

Madonna has given money for charity since 1982, she gave milions for AIDS, Cancer etc etc when Angelina was only a child. So please stop saying: Oh she’s copying Angelina!!!
The difference is: Madonna didn’t give any interview about her charity, she was always very reserved about it.
Oh and she doesn’t know much about Angelina because Madonna doesn’t watch TV and she does’nt read tabloids.

Oh, how I love my Madonna. I worshiped her as a kid and some of my happiest childhood memories involve Madonna music. Now I’ve grown into a deep respect for her work and ability. Even now, when I see something about Madonna and her art, I feel like, yay, Madonna!
