OlderMadonna Is Because We Are
Madonna arrives and greets filmmaker Michael Moore at a screening of her new film, I Am Because We Are at the Traverse City Film Festival on Saturday in Traverse City, Michigan.
This movie documents the concern over the millions of orphans in the African country of Malawi who have lost parents and siblings to HIV and AIDS, many of whom live on the streets. The film also shows the efforts with Madonna’s charitable organisation Raising Malawi in helping with improving their lives and conditions.
I Am Because We Are is narrated and produced by Madonna.
“Ubuntu” is an idea present in African spirituality that says “I am because we are,” that we are all connected and we cannot be ourselves without community.

Madonna has given money for charity since 1982, she gave milions for AIDS, Cancer etc etc when Angelina was only a child. So please stop saying: Oh she’s copying Angelina!!!
The difference is: Madonna didn’t give any interview about her charity, she was always very reserved about it.
Oh and she doesn’t know much about Angelina because Madonna doesn’t watch TV and she does’nt read tabloids.

Oh, how I love my Madonna. I worshiped her as a kid and some of my happiest childhood memories involve Madonna music. Now I’ve grown into a deep respect for her work and ability. Even now, when I see something about Madonna and her art, I feel like, yay, Madonna!
