Where to start? If I am not mistaken the Sciento’s believe that you must treat children like they are adults. No kiddie talk. No snuggles, nothing. I suppose that means that Suri will decide when she wants to be weaned off the bottle and when she will be potty trained… hopefully before school starts- but, Oh that’s right she will be in a Sciento school where are the babies are minature adults wearing diapers and drinking bottles.

It is just sad she doesnt have the same opportunity to just be a little girl. Not shorts and tennis shoes no running laughing getting dirty…just crazy.

Sorry, but the kid looks like a little snot. Check out the 2nd pic where Katie is leaning down and Suri is pulling away. That’s what happens when there is no discipline and the kid is allowed to do whatever she wants…..like walk around dragging a WHITE blanket on the ground in a park in New York City!!!! Oh, well, Katie buys them by the dozen, so I am sure this one will get tossed. Toss the bottle, too, will you? And what an ugly dress the alien has on. Wonder how many hundreds that cost?

Absolutely adorable! Katie needs to hit Gymboree for some play clothes, and Suri has got to ditch the bottle!

Hmmmmm……Now that I have taken a closer look, in all fairness to Suri, Kids respond when they are engaged, even autistic kids.

My son is Autistic and he laughs all the time. When I have the time to volunteer in his class room all of those kids smile and laugh as well. Yes they have attachments to objects etc and get distracted easily but they still respond.

Katie doesn’t smile once at Suri, or even engage with Suri while she is pushing her on the swing. In fact Katie doesn’t look at all happy. Maybe its just me….

Einstein doesn’t speak until he was 4, so the botlle doesn’t mean nothing. I live in Europe and here children drink from the bottle until 6, and we aren’t less developed and sociable than american people. And i have said PERHAPS she has a high intelligence, also because katie has said that suri already speaks french.

What’s with the senior citizen frock on that child? Dress her up like a little girl that she is. Rediculous outfit for the park!

I don’t get what the big deal is about Suri drinking from a bottle at two. I really don’t. If she was 10, then maybe, but she’s still considered a ‘baby’, so leave it already! One of my nieces didn’t stop drinking her ‘baba’ until she was four years old and she’s grown up just fine.

Seriously.
Suri always looks not so much depressed as completely emotionless and void. Not even remotely normal for a kid that age. Even on the swing or when looking at her mother. I mean she just LOOKS anyway blatantly emotionally damaged.

And people, please give her a break on how she enjoys her time on the swing or not.
She’s only doing her job to help boost the down hill careers of her mother and the master.
She may be one of the hardest working props, oops, children in the USA. Of course, she’s pissed off, if she’s that highly intelligent as Selma thinks. She must know by now that her “parents” are actually users. And she’s a robotic prop, nothing more, nothing less.

Haha. If one were truly engaged with their child would they be on their cellphone? I hardly think so.

Just had a thought- would you be smiling if everywhere you went…photographers were in your face? Also, she could be a shy child too. I don’t really care for Tommy boy…but, this little kid is innocent and not responsible for what her parents do or not do.

I recently saw a photo of Jennifer Garner and Violet- in the background of the photo were THREE photographers behind her! Who knows how many were in the front????? So…I would imagine it’s not so fun when you try to go somewhere and there are photographers all over the place at every step you made. Ugghhhh

I have to say that she is cute, because she’s a baby, but she sure isn’t beautiful.

Suri is a beautiful child but she looks so unhappy. She never smiles anymore and she doesn’t act like a normal 2 year old.

Katie was so pretty. What happened to her? She walks around like a robot and she never smiles. Her hair is too short and she dresses like a boy. So sad!

The bottle is a problem because it is rotting her teeth and will give her multiple dental problems in the future. Have you ever heard of “bottle mouth”? Don’t take the word of some commenters on a blog; try taking a look at what the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Dental Association have to say about bottles past the age of 18 months!

As for the autism issue, not one person has “diagnosed” Suri. One doesn’t need to be a “doctor” to make an observation — I see a lot of autism every single day thanks to having two children with it (and two neurotypical ones as well), and because I work with scores of autistic children as a special education teacher at the pre-school and elementary levels. I am *not* making a diagnosis, however, I can and do see, from hundreds of published pictures over the last 4-5 months, that Suri definitely displays some autistic *characteristics* and if she were a student of mine, I would suggest that she be evaluated by a developmental pediatrician who *can* give a definitive diagnosis, *if there is one*, and recommend a plan for early intervention and treatment, *if she needs it.*

Suri is a beautiful child, with unusual, non cookie-cutter features. As someone else said before, she is going to be a stunner. The bottle thing, she is only still a tiny child. All these hideous dental/health problems being predicted, absolutely crazy. I live in Europe and kids use bottles till around 4 years, even at pre-school. So BIG DEAL! And prolonged use of sippy cups can cause SPEECH PROBLEMS in children…..

Prolonged use of bottles AND sippy cups are not recommended, but at least sippy cups are appropriate for toddlers; they intended as transitions to the regular cup.

She is a cute kid . . .but shocked to see she is still on the bottle. WTH. Also why is she always so over dressed . . .does she have play clothes. I have a feeling this kid is going to be a DIVA when she gets older. . .if she is not already.

Suri is absolutely adorable, but she does look like a spoiled snot. Zahara Jolie-Pitt doesn’t like photographers either, but you see her smiling and laughing a lot with her family when she isn’t looking directly at the paps. I remember seeing Suri smile only once–when they were at David Beckham’s football game. She wasn’t smiling or laughing with her parents either, she was just enjoying the music. I’ve seen her throw more temper tantrums than crack smiles. It’s a shame because she really is a gorgeous baby, and that type of behavior is never cute.

Katie Holmes looks terrible. I cannot believe she thinks her stupid haircut or those crappy jeans are flattering. I feel as bad for her as a broke woman can allow herself to feel for a rich stranger who used to play her favorite television character. Katie’s sparkle is gone. There’s no way that is a happy woman.

Tom Cruise is a total movie star and I love him. He’s super rich, but doesn’t try to fool the public by feigning humbleness. He enjoys life because he earned his money through hard work and enjoys spending it. I’m sure that he’s very thankful and grateful to be such a huge, successful movie star for so many years. He really lives up to his image.

And Tom’s beautiful family is too cute. He seems to have very nice, well-behaved older children and Suri is a doll. She REALLY looks like a doll. And I’m glad they dress her up and make her presentable for the photographers and the public who by magazines that feature them. I’m tired of seeing some of these rich tots looking homeless. When you have that much money, you cannot take it with you when you die. You should enjoy life and the fruits of your labor and never feel guilty.

Suri grows very fast. She’s cute all the time! She seems very much enjoys playing in the ground! Love her! Kisses!

I love Suri, Katie and Tom. Suri is adorable (I hate those “cutest celeb baby contests” they are all adorable).
Suri is probably still using a bottle because of her anxiety and for lack of better word instability. She’s not in the same house all of the time, her parents have pretty tight schedules and the poor kid has had cameras in her face and mobs of people all around her yelling things at her parents and her for her entire life. She doesn’t seem at ease.
It looks like Katie does the best she can by giving her a normal but privileged life.
And all the comments about Katie looking somber…why does she have to smile at cameras and people yelling at her and asking dumb questions. At the premier she attended with Tom last week she looked stunning and all smiles. Even had it written up at her hysterics over Tom’s fat suit dance. People are harsh and quick to assume the worst.
